1. Hello good people of Consumer Action Group, thanks for having me! I find myself in a work situation that I'd really appreciate some legislation-backed-up fact. I've been working for my company manual work minimum wage for nearly 4 years, never rocked the boat, always did my best to keep everyone sweet and help out where I could when people called in sick with management. However, I now find myself in a quandary where I need to take a few days off that have been expressly disallowed by da boss. Our rota goes up a few days before it starts for every two weeks going forward. The boss still finds it acceptable however to change it willy-nilly as the needs of the business dictate. Fair enough if it's a small one-man show, but this is a multi-national. So near Christmas it becomes problematic when people with children suddenly "discover" a once in a life time children's play, or family emergency, I've always tried to help out as I'm a single childless guy. But I have something I must do on Friday 14th that demands I take the day off. I asked the boss, immediately I saw the rota go up today. NO! I said, sorry but YES!! He said review your position, I'll make you work it or give you a disciplinary. I WILL be taking it off, morally and actually. What can I do to avoid the inevitable storm and bad feeling that will result despite me giving him nearly 3 weeks notice about it? It's unfortunate in that unusually this close to Christmas there is no-one else who can cover this specific shift, but I feel given my track record of always covering everyone else with their "sudden child sickness/need to go shopping" issues, etc, that I'm morally in the right to ask for this one little day off. I am prepared to die on this hill. (I'm looking for a new job already for new year), but I don't want to leave on bad terms by just handing in my one week notice now. And then get a bad reference. Especially after 4 years of actually quite enjoying the job and feeling a mutual respect with the boss. But he's dug his heels in with this; and so have I! Any legislation to help me with my stand? Thank you. Pg
2. Hi all, firstly I'm posting on behalf of my step son & GF, as they are unsure of how to respond to/progress with their currently situation. Background BF / GF living with GF's parents. GF becomes pregnant. Both 'kicked out' - asked to find alternative accommodation. Accepted as 'Homeless' by the Local Authority, and that they have a 'priority need'. Currently in emergency Council-owned accommodation (pretty decent actually) in the centre of town. GF doesn't drive, BF has small mbike only. BF employed locally. GF was in college locally before pregnancy but now not. They have made applications to the Local Authority allocation scheme for housing, placed an interest bid on a property they were matched with, within the local area. Upon visiting, found it in poor condition, at the far end of a maze-type newish estate, and around 1.5 miles outside of the town centre. Please see attached the Local Authority letter, informing them that if they reject this property then the Council will discharge their obligation to house them. Since this letter has been received there has been a significant change of circumstances - BIRTH. GF has giving birth at 27 weeks ! A lovely baby girl, who is doing really well - as is mum GF & daughter are in a NICU approx 90 mins away from home town and will be for a substantial length of time. Clearly there will be a significantly increased requirement for local hospital interaction in the short term. Issue: BF & GF want to reject the visited property, but are worried the Council will them wash its hands of their housing requirement. Their reasoning is mainly that the location will leave GF isolated from amenities and her support network. Clearly the latter is now more important than it was at the start of the application, due to the significant change in circumstances. So, how do they proceed...? I'm presuming they should write to the Housing Advice and Homeless Manager specified on the attached letter, but what should they say..? Is there something standard available, or should they just blurt it all out and hope for the best..? Can the Local Authority really remove them from their care following such a change in circumstances....? Look forward to your comments... CLST1 2018-06-05.pdf
3. I am a vulnerable person having suffered a violent attack for which I am receiving counselling for and has left me with anxiety problems, at the time this led to me leaving work which in turn led to me running up rental arrears and a possesion order granted ( I moved out before the date ). The vast majority have been paid off and I am now in a new place, at the time of the hearing I offered through his solicitor to pay £200 per month which was accepted via the solicitor in writing and I have kept paying to this arrangement. I have today been informed that a letter has arrived to my old address ( even though my old LL has my new address ) for which I have not been in for over 5 years to say a baliff ( High Court Sheriffs Office ) will arrive after the 11th - I know the person in there now luckily! I have a few questions on this: - Am I right in saying that if my friend ( who lives in my old place ) states I am not there then I will have to be re-notified at my new addy? - which gives me some time to sort something ( as they will not know I know ) - Is there a court route I can go through? - Is this allowed when I have a written agreement on repayments? - The original order is for 2 of us and the action just lists me ( not sure if it makes a difference?) - Why would he put the wrong addy on? - I am not sure if it makes a difference but it was seen at Eastbourne County Court on September 11th and the paperwork from Bailiff states it was seen at Manchester County Court on September 11th What information would my friend need to provide to show I do not live there anymore? The total remaining on the form is £2600 ( which is after the £200 per month payments I have made ) I obviously have medical/counselling/doctors notes I can provide that support my anxiety and people turning up to the house will obviously set this off
4. Hi all, I'm totally new to all this and have had a situation develop over the last 6-8 months where I was unable to pay my credit card bills. My credit was 12k, I ignored it for a few months while dealing with some family issues. I got in contact with them in January and set up a plan to catch up over a 3 month period at £600 a month, I made the first payment but failed in February when I had to take weeks off dealing with my older brother (45) passing away and needing to help my mother through that process. When I called to tell them they told me the card was now cancelled and they were going to pass me on to a debt agency. At that point, I said I'd prefer to deal with them if possible and have every intention of catching up and paying the card off asap, they gave me 30 days to contact them again. I am approaching the end of that period and have made very little progress. There is good news that I've interviewed for 3-4 diff engineering positions and should soon be back earning 5-6k a month. I guess my questions are in my position what is the optimal approach to clearing this debt, my instincts of guilt say deal with Barclaycard and plan on paying the full amount back. I also fear the debt being sold and some horror story of dealing with that. Is that logical? Would I actually be better off having them pass it to a third party? All in all, I'm just a bit overwhelmed by it all and want to have it sorted. I should have started looking for work sooner, I've been self-employed remotely in a weird industry for the last 10 years that's shrinking and I tried to hold on too long. Through old military friends, I feel very very confident I will be working soon. Any help on how to approach my next call to Barclaycard would be very welcome! Sorry for the long ramble, I am just super clueless with all this and never expected to be in this position.
5. Hi guy's and girls, been a while since I last used the forum I see it is a great as ever! I am looking for a little bit of business advice on a really tricky situation I am in at the moment. I own a relativley small company (I can not tell you what doing at this moment for good reason), A friend of mine in the same industry is looking at possibly being sent to prison for a very long time (again I can not say why, who or what industry because of this nature). He wanted to sell his company assetts urgently however he was arrested yesterday and put on remand, from what I understand he will not be let out until the case is concluded and the outlook is not good to say the least. I wasnt aware of the serverity until his wife put me in the picture. He and his wife have split (not divorced), they can not and will not speak (Police have told her that no contact can be made). His wife now wishes to sell the company assetts, the company is a sole trader business type, not a LTD company. I have the opportunity to buy everything, however I am a little concerned on a couple of points in which I would like some guidance. 1- Can his wife legally sell off his/his companies assetts? without his permission? Alledgedly it is half her business as well. 2- If she can not and did do so, what action can her husband take when he gets out of prison years down the line? 3- If we did buy it all, had a reciept from his wife and later in time he tried to claim against me can he do so or would it fall on his wife as she has sold it? Would I be essentially handling stolen goods? Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Cheers Scoobs
6. Hi there. I'm wondering if you could help. I've got a bit of an usual BT billing issue and I'm looking for some advice. I'm coming to the end of my minimum term with BT and I've placed in my cancellation. However, it turns out that due to some billing glitch, I haven't paid a single payment to BT for the whole year contract. I'm one of those who just let direct debits come out the bank without really paying close attention ( I really should.... I know!) They are now requesting the full year payment upfront which I obviously cannot afford. I've logged into the BT website to check the bills incase there has been any late payment fees etc to find that absolutely every bill - clearly addressed with my details and the package that I subscribe to (phone and broadband) have all had a total balance due of £0. Where do I stand with this?
7. I am currently off work through depression. I have been off for nearly 3 weeks and my current fit note takes me up to next Monday. This condition has been with me for years although this is the first time I have taken any time off. I have been in my current job nearly 3 years and disclosed the condition at my pre-employment medical. Although not having any lost time directly with depression I have had 9 days off with a back injury and another 3.5 due to migraines. I have had a lot to cope with over the past 2 years, 3 family bereavements (inc both my parents), 2 terrible house moves and I have had the threat of redundancy hanging over me. We have had 2 rounds of redundancies at work and no guarantee there won't be any more. We also came perilously close to having our house flooded in January. All the stress came to a head 3 weeks ago. I knew something was going to give and spoke to my boss about going home sick. A few weeks ago I had been spoken to by HR re my attendance following the days off mentioned above. He suggested that taking more time off would lead to problems for me. Against my better judgement I went back to work. In a few occasions over the recent past when I have felt bad and wanted to take a few sick days he has talked my into taking these as leave days instead. Unfortunately I lost my temper a couple of times the day before I went off sick and threw a few things around apparently scaring a couple of colleagues. Totally unacceptable I know, but I just could not help it. The following morning I felt awful but against my wife's advise went in. I went on to have a bad episode and walked out. I know that if I was allowed to go off on the Wednesday nothing like this would have happened. I was of course totally stressed thinking I had effectively walked out but after my wife called the boss to tell him how I was told that wasn't an issue. My worry now is that assuming I go back at the end of this fit note I will have accumulated 29 sick days in the past year. Not sure of the trigger point for disciplinary action but certain I will have passed that. Bearing in mind my health and the company's need to cut a huge amount from the costs and assuming they don't just start the process of ultimately dismissing me would it be worth my while asking for a redundancy package or settlement package if I were to go voluntarily? I do feel that a few months off and perhaps going to a part time role after that would be beneficial to me in the long run, our finances are fine and we can survive on my wife salary anyway so no great stress there.
8. Hello, I'm new here and looking for help if possible. I was claiming tax credits as part of a couple with my husband until June 2015 when he left the family home. We had decided to separate with a view to divorcing and had put the house on the market, as soon as he actually moved out I rang tax credits to inform them. I should point out here that my husband DID NOT WORK and had not been working at any point during the claim period (one of the reasons for our separation). I was the sole earner and continued to be when he left. He never paid me any maintenance as he had no income. Our previous mortgage was in joint names but I bought a new home for myself and our children in my name and my husband signed over the equity from the previous property during the sale as I had always paid the mortgage during our marriage anyway. I moved house in August 2015, all bills were in my name etc. In November 2015 I had a nervous breakdown and went on long term sick leave from work. I was struggling to cope with the children alone. My mum moved in to help me but was working full time. Eventually in January 2016 my husband came to stay for a fortnight to help and finally secured a job for himself as I needed to leave work indefinitely due to my health. I therefore agreed that he should move back in to the family home and I asked him to ring tax credits to inform them. Tax credits said we would need to end the single claim and begin a joint claim which we did (the same week he moved back in). The joint claim has been active since. I have now received a letter from concentrix stating they think another adult lives with me and I needed to send a long list of documents, which confused me. I called up to speak to someone who was disinterested, didn't even take my personal details or look at my individual case and told me that it would only concern the period of the single claim (June 2015- January 2016) so I should send documents for this period. We had sold the house when my husband left in June and I had bought a new home on my own, therefore we did not change any of the bills at that time (June-August). The mortgage was joint (and could not be changed), the electricity and gas were in his name. I did call them to ask if I could start a new account in my name and was told that I couldn't as there were big arrears on his account (which I hadn't known about). I just left it as the house move was imminent and I did not want to take on that debt as my own! I cannot provide a bill as they were in his name and he no longer has them (although he could ask for copies). The water bill was in joint names until I moved too. As soon as I moved here in August everything was in my name only but as my husband had no fixed address he had given the electricity/gas company this address to send correspondence about the money still owed. The account was no longer live, it was just arrears, but I wonder if this triggered their 'investigation.' Either that or the fact he earned some money between Feb and April this year when he hadn't been earning previously (but we were on a joint claim then anyway). I can provide bank statements (although i have no idea how these prove anything), as well as utilities bills and council tax bill from this house from August onwards etc and they should clearly be able to see that my husband did not change his bank account or driving license address or regsister on the electoral roll until he moved back in. I suppose what I'm wondering is: Do I send a covering letter explaining all of this and hope for the best? If I leave out any of the evidence but explain why, will they refuse to look at my case? If they decide that they are not happy with the evidence for any period, what happens next? Can they stop the current joint claim based on this investigation as it is a separate claim and we are in financial hardship on a low income? If they decide that in their view, the claim should still have been joint even when we lived apart because we were married and eventually reconciled, would they demand back ALL the money they paid me between june and January or would it be the difference between what they would have paid for a joint or single claim? (which would be nothing anyway!) What is frustrating is that until February 2016, my husband did not have any income so I did not financially benefit in any way from the single claim as the single persons element is the same as the couples element anyway. It would make no sense for me to have fraudulently claimed as a single person because there was no benefit to me. I've read horror stories about this company. If they tried to claim back the entire amount I was paid simply based on their own 'assumption', I wouldn't be able to backdate the joint claim so could they really insist I pay back 8 months of money that they know I would still have been entitled to either way? I am worried sick, I am still being treated for depression and anxiety and receiving counselling and I feel guilty when I've done nothing wrong, and terrified of sending them my bank statements so they can analyse everything I ever spent. Some friends have told me to refuse to send bank statements as they are personal but I'm worried that if I don't, they will punish me. There is nothing on my bank statements relating to my husband, no payments between us or anything else, but I just feel horrible about them rifling through my private financial affairs that way and worried because my mum has put money into my account for me to help me towards the bills, is she allowed to help me that way?
9. Turkey a NATO member in the area, yet clearly resists other NATO members requests (whether right or wrong - quite understandably in my view) At least 1/2 - 2/3 of the 600,000+ illegal migrants/refugees in Europe this year are reported to have come through Turkey (France24 'conservative' estimate). It would be easy to say (as the EU is requesting at the moment) that Turkey should better police its EU side borders to prevent the flow of migrants, yet Turkey has in the order of 2M refugees/migrants (probably far more) within its borders excluding those who have moved on. - Who wouldn't want the refugees/migrants to move on in that situation, particularly given that a vast number of these migrants will hold hostile beliefs with regard to Turkey. Its clear to me that Turkey is a major part of the problem in the area (although probably NOT through deliberate choice) yet is also one of the VERY few relatively safe exits routes. What are peoples views on the situation, any realistic solutions and what people think of Turkeys actions as a member of NATO yet with direct and immediate security issues which would MOSTLY seem to be at odds with the rest of NATO's official stance? Some things to consider (my opinions - generally very well researched) * Turkey has long wanted a policed buffer zone along its borders, with refugees sent back into the buffer zone - the zones in the other countries borders. * The Kurds want a self governing region and will fight anyone to get it. (They have recently fought Syrian Army and IS and have elements active against Turkey since the coming apart of the Turk/Kurd 'ceasefire') They undoubtedly feel let down by everyone, and claim the Turks are bombing Kurds who are actually fighting IS rather than IS - hence supporting IS. Supported by news reports including 'western' France24 and Euronews. * Turkeys' apparent bombing of Kurds and NOT the IS troops fighting the Kurds (also reported from 'western' news channels) and would appear to show Turkey thinking the Kurds as more dangerous to Turkey than IS.
10. I appreciate this may be a little complex, so I will try and be clear. The first paragraphs are background, skip to the for the issue. I am Sales and Marketing senior manager for a business, with 8 outlets. I am responsible for all sales and marketing activity and measured by sales performance (revenue). Each outlet has a manager, and they are responsible for the day to day operation of the unit, and measured against the profit. This structure is a little unique in our industry, where usually the unit manager has control of local sales and marketing, and would be measured against both sales and profit, and my role would be a head office support role. So in effect I have more control than usual and the unit manager has less control than the norm. The unit manager and I are on the same rung in the hierarchy, reporting into the MD. One of the units was added two years ago, and was an underperforming unit. We knew it wasn't a great business when we bought it, but the plan was to invest in it, and turn it around. But we were having to undo many years of neglect and poor management. The unit manager joined when we bought the business - we'll call him P. P and I have had a rocky relationship, and he doesn't agree with our business structure, wanting to have more control over his unit. This has caused us to lock horns on a number of occasions. I have backed off a little of recent, as I was worried I was becoming seen as a 'problem'. Recently our relationship has been better, but only because we avoid discussing anything controversial. P's unit has had major investment, but business is slow to turn round. And last year was pretty poor. We are battling with a long standing poor reputation, and the service levels are still very poor and there is no real change forthcoming. Until these improve, I am restricted with how much more revenue I can generate. :?: The MD is off sick long term, so the CEO has become more involved in the day to day business. - having not been very close to what is happening for a number of years). I have been asked to attend a meeting tomorrow, along with P and another senior manager, the purpose is to explain the poor performance and how we can turn it round. This is where my challenge arises. At this meeting, I will have effectively two options, accept that the performance is not good enough (I.e. I am not doing my job - not that I believe this is true); or pass the blame to P and the continued poor service (I can prove this as we use a 3rd party monitoring service - which I administrate), but this will enviably be the final nail in our poor relationship, and likely leave me unable to perform my role in the long term. Either way. I really feel like I will end up on rocky ground and my career in jepordy. The stress of this meeting is making me sick. Part of me just wants to walk away from the whole thing, but can't really give up the salary or company car without knowing I have some certainty of another role. Roles at my level are limited, so I can't just walk into a job, and would likely have to take a lower paid and lower seniority role. Help!!
11. I work in a small office. I'm the only part time employee. Due to my chronic fatigue syndrome and other illnesses I work one day a week. That was the deal with the employee before me due to her family comitments. Additionally I cover holiday and sometimes sickness. I was of the opinion that this was by mutual agreement, when it suited me and them and that I could say "no" Apparently not. A few months ago, I was ill and received a call asking me to go in, I said no as I was ill. My boss was very abrupt and I heard later that she'd been angry that I hadn't. My job was to cover sick leave. I get sick too, that's why I'm doing this job that pays the bills if I'm very lucky. This week, I've covered for her being away longer than her agreed holiday. There are family reasons why she had to be away, I understand them, but I've been working through a chest infection and she has never asked me if it was OK for me to come in, just left a message with a colleague that she was off until further notice. She hasn't informed anyone of her plans. I've understood that she's been away longer, these things happen, but she assumes I'll cover for her. There's a reason that I work part time. I have to pace myself and I can't work beyond the point where I've agreed to stop. Anyway, I think next week she's going to demandthat I cover when ordered. I can't and won't live like this. Basically if this is the case my time is theirs even if not paid. If my phone rings, I have to go in. That cannot be right? I know it's hearsay so far but I want to prepare myself so I can stand up for my rights. I have rarely refused to cover, been really flexible. My contract says "Stand by cover will be necessary from time to time" Surely I must have some say in when and can't be made to suffer for not going in when ordered. I hope this makes some kind of sense. I understand a lot of this is what I've heard from others, but if she does make demands directly, I'd like tobe prepared.
12. Hi, I am new here and I looked through the forum but the questions that I have, have not been asked before. So I am starting a new thread. I have been in credit card and secured loan debts for more than 15 years and most of the time, I have been working to pay my debts. The life had been very hard. But last year a friend advised 'not to pay any of your credit cards debts as you are just killing yourself', and I did stop paying them which gave me some breathing space. Now I have one creditor taking me to court to seek a CCJ. I have reviewed my financial situation carefully and I have come to a conclusion that I will not be able to pay any of my debts for at least another 10 years and I am 48 now. The same friend has advised me now to stop paying mortgage and remaining 2 secured loan payments and apply for bankruptcy, which I agree to but I am worried about committing BANKRUPTCY OFFENCE, and ending up up to 15 years of BRO. Could the following be considered Bankruptcy Offenses; If I stop paying my mortgage (which has a negative equity of about £15,000) and secured loan, then could this be considered a bankruptcy offence as I would have piled up debt? I am employed full-time and my take-home pay is about £1500 with overtime. But I want to give up this job as it exacerbate my Sciatica pain. I want to do taxi-driving for a while which I did before. Will OR consider this an offence as my income will go down to about half? I had stopped paying my creditors over a year ago, so could this be considered an offence or fraud? I am also the director of my own LTD company(book publishing) but it made a loss of about £1500 in the first year. I am not hoping to get any financial reward from selling any more novels in the near future. So if I sold the entire shares to a friend or family member then could this be considered an offence. I want to do this before bankruptcy as I know I cannot remain a director. Thanks in advance for your help!

15. Hi all, Having read advice regarding similar situations regarding X4L and Harlands I am really hoping you can lend a helping hand. This is the email which I sent to the manager of my local gym. I understand from a phone call with the citizens advice bureau that some of my points do not apply, specifically those to do with not being shown a contract at the time of registration and also what I thought to be an improper method of registration. I would like to draw your attention however to the paragraph about item 16 in their terms and conditions as shown in red. The situation I am in now as stated by the 2nd letter from Harlands is that I owe something in the region of £165 comprising of 'administration fees' and membership arrears. The most I am willing to pay is the monthly membership but based on my argument regarding item 16, I am hoping I can get out of it all together. In addition to the above, after a pathetic response from the manager I was going to write a second email. I have refrained from doing so for now in favour of seeking advice on here. In summary he did not address any of the points in my email so I was going to write the following:- What are the thoughts of the wise people on here? Let me know if you require any more information. Many thanks in advance.
16. i'll try and keep this as concise as possible, one of my employees went to meet a client in his apartment and parked in the residents car park in what he thought was the clients parking space. The client is one of a few people who actually live there all year and the rest of the apartments are on short holiday lets. to gain access to the car park you need to take a ticket and then the resident uses a pass card to allow exit. It appears that my employee parked in another person allocated parking space and although the car park was almost empty the other person took a photograph of his number plate and sent it to Vinci Parking who then sent to the car lease company. No PCN was fixed to the car. The lease company did nothing for a month and we then informed Vinci not to contact them again as they were charging £25 admin fee. The company then received a letter and demand from a debt collector which we duly ignored and this week we received a letter from a genuine solicitor notifying us that they intend to start legal action. I would be grateful for any advice on what to do.
17. Evening All I have received a rather weird email from MYJAR today regarding an account which I can confirm I will raising the Fraud flag against (Think struggle with MMF) Anyway... MyJAR have sent an email advising that a loan was taken on 09/08/2011 and was due back on the 24/08/2011. However the email i received today included is listed below and attached were 3 attachments. (Obviously this isnt mine otherwise it would have been settled by now) Now my question is, shouldn't this account have defaulted in 2011? Yet they are going to issue a default notice in 2015?!?!?!?!?! Wasnt there something against that? Also this debt hasn't ever appeared on my credit profile with EXP or CCRED, So if they issue a default against it, surely i should have grounds to challenge it on that basis? The PDFs have been filtered for personal info so please feel free to give me advice on this one... I am stomped... FKO
18. Hi all, I know everyone on these forums are very savvy regarding PPI matters, and there seem to be some experts also. My late father owed "Monument" money but once Death Certificate was issued then it was resolved (no will, no assets). I have now received a letter saying they owe PPI, or PBP as they like to call it. However, their dealings look suspicious as essentially they say "We will not give you money unless there is some left over what is owed." Why should I pay what is owed? This does not seem fair. They also want me to sign a "Statutory Declaration" and I fear that if I sign that they may be charging me for what is owed. Please, is there any way to get the full amount of money they owe? It is over £1000 pounds. Here are the letters below, I hope you can help:
19. Hi Both myself and my wife ended up being criminals by getting caught speeding on the Grimsby Parkway by some stealth cameras both vat different times, both doing 36mph in a 40mph area. There has been loads of complaints about the speed limit as it is on an area of road surrounded by high walls and no pedestrian access - some would call it a cash cow. Even the Chief Constable got caught ! 6 weeks after receiving the NIP the speed limit has been raised to 40mph ! My query is whether or not there are any precedents in challenging the case based on it clearly having been an unreasonable decision to set it at 40 mph in the first place? Just thought I'd ask as it clearly has nothing at all to do with road safety and it is 30 years since I got done for speeding and my wife never has. We're somewhat miffed by the whole thing. Thanks in advance. Bugsley
20. Hi All, Basically its like this. I work at a military establishment with a woman who is starting to drive me nuts, basically. She has obsessive compulsive disorder - don't get me wrong, I fully respect she has the condition but she's making my working life that much more unbearable. She's even confiding in a work colleague that she went to see a psychologist because she said that I stress her out at work and to hear that second hand from a work colleague was not too pleasant to be honest. I have had a problem with pen chewing and putting things in my mouth, chewing my nails etc. as far back as I can remember and there seems to be no signs of it letting up - despite my best efforts, I find myself relapsing and every now and again, which has become a bit more occasional of late, find a pen or something else in my mouth, be it my fingers for biting my nails or whatever. However whenever I have been at a workstation using the keyboard or been somewhere else and this is usually some while after I have bitten my nails, for example, then she is there cleaning the desk area and I am made to feel like a dirty person - don't get me wrong - I fully respect her condition but I'm being made to feel that I can't even put my hands near my mouth or pick up a pen in fear she's going to put in a complaint and I think that I am going to be on the receiving end of something unpleasant and the fact that she has a mental illness will work against me. Furthermore, she is rather cold toward me in the office and I feel the tensity in the office is going to reach a peak before long. We have been open and honest about our feelings in the office as well. I can't help what I do at the end of the day and as I explained, since I've been a nipper, its been a recurring problem for me. Can someone offer me some advice as to what the best solution is as I will not take kindly to an official complaint from my supervisor as I feel I've done little wrong and am trying hard to work on a problem I've had difficulty in resolving in the past. Regards
21. Hi all, not posted here for years! So I've been working away an being young have neglected my credit as I've always been disinterested. Now I'm home and settling down I have decided to pull my Experian Credit Report. It is DIRE! My score is 141 which translates as VERY Poor! I have a total current debt of £4315.00 Individually American Express: 2475.00 EE trading as T-Mobille: 1074.00 Royal Bank of Scotland: 500.00 Wonga: 266.00 The RBS is being paid at £50 a month at the moment. But I'm currently tracking down details to contact the other companies or the agencies handling the debts. I want these clearing ASAP so I can get my credit back on track. I thought a good way of doing this would be with a debt consolidation loan. Tesco have refused me already however a company called Aspire has 'Accepted Me' I am to wait for a phone call. What are the odds of this coming through? And how would you suggest I manage these debts to get my report better? I am working at the moment, I just jumped into a shift job with a family member, Making anything between £800 - £1500 a month depending on shifts. Any help would be appreciated greatly! I am supporting my Girlfriend and could do with a credit boost here and there, so far the only people who have given me a chance are Vanquis and I am managing the card very well.
22. Hiya all, Have a massively odd situation, Had a total bill for bailiff dated march of £6818.68 ( including costs ) Then in April of a total bill of £5649.28 I then questioned these and got a bill yesterday of £6303.40 And today a bailiff turned up ( they know I am on vulnerable list ) and the total id £6301.40 So my question is what do I do, every time I ask for clarification it changes price - and its a flip as to whether it is up or down I will be in a position to pay in full next week but dont want to pay and find that I have either paid too much or that they come chasing in a few weeks time I cannot understand how if the figure in March is accurate how it has gone down and how if the figure 2 days ago is that the bailiff has not added additional charges Any help appreciated
23. Hi there, Im hoping somebody could help me with my situation. Its quite confusing so I'll start from the beginning. On 29th Jan 2013 I was pulled over outside my workplace by a policeman. I was in a rush to get in and asked why i had been pulled over to which he had no answer, so i pushed for the reason. He eventually pushed forward towards my bonnet and noticed i had a crack in my windscreen and told me that was the reason i was being pulled over. it had only happened the night before but where i was protesting he didnt want to listen. I was not in uniform or wearing an ID badge but because of where it was - Heathrow airport - i had to tell him where i worked and why i was there. He proceeded to go to my work and make a complaint about my conduct. i was suspended from work and that matter was dealt with. But i decided this was not right and lodged a complaint to the IPCC against him. His sareant told me he had no record of the "offence" being commited and would look into it when the officer was back on duty. Eventually i was given the outcome of my complaint and no action was taken against the officer. i noticed that the certain part of my complaint against him which was; breach of my human right to privacy, had not been investigated or answered and more changed to the lesser offece of incorrect discloure of police information on the officers part. i was prepared to let sleeping dogs lie as i had heard nothing more about the "offence" i had apparantly commited - being my cracked windscreen and didnt want to re-ignite the situation for obvious reasons. Now it has come to my attention that all the letters that have been coming to my house over the last year addressed to Lee rather than my actual name which is Luke are for this apparant offence. Over this time i have returned all of the letters with R.T.S (return to sender) on them and my address crossed out. All of a suddent this morning i get a knock on the door from a bailiff asked if i was Lee to which i replied no, then asked if i was Luke to which i replied yes and he said ok now im going to put a clamp on ypur car. i tried phoning the non emergency police to help me with the matter but they protested it was noting to do with them and that it was a civil matter. i told them a man had paperwork in the name of Lee and was trying to remove my car which is in the name of Luke but they did not entertain me in the slightest and told me they wouldnt be sending anyone. i had an altercation with the bailiff and tried to stop him from putting the clamp on my car but this only resulted in him phoning the police and me being arrested for assault becuase i tried to get inbetween him and my car and he was pushing his body onto me. when I got released I tried to find out what was going on. my car is still at home but has a clamp secured to it. This is the current situation - i have spoken to the bailiff who informs me that the courts have confirmed that because I was told about the offence of my cracked windscreen from the start by the officer that i should be the one who follows this up and find out what is happening. They have therefore confirmed that tomorrow my car can and will be taken away. they will store it for a maximum of 6 days (before it is sold at auction for pennies) at £25.00 a day storage and charge £150.00 for the pleasure of having my car towed away. He tells me the only way i can solve this is by paying him the £835.00 the debt has spiralled to, and then do something called a statuatory declaration. He tells me that the reference on his paperwork is not the warrant number and i will need this to file the statuatory declartion. He tells me i wont be able to find the warrant number myself and its tricky to get hold of, but he is willing to provide this to me if i pay him the full figure. He also tells me i will need a hand written receipt from the enforcement officer completing the outstanding warrant enabling me to register my statuatory declaration on the same warrant number which he is also willing to write and provide to me but only if i pay him the money tomorrow. The funny thing is that he is adamant this offence was commited a day after (30th January 2013) the actual day (29th January 2013) I was pulled over and had the interaction with the policeman. This makes me think something is really wrong about all this. Please can somebody point me in the right direction or advise me of the best place to go? the only way i see this is that this bailiff and the courts are committing criminal offences towards me. Would really appreciate somebodys advice. Many Thanks Luke

25. Hello, Gentlemen, Gentlewomen... new user here. Ok... I have a pretty good idea what to do here, but I thought i`d post just in case you guys think different since my situation is slightly different. I know it`s probably bad, but from what i read here, but anyway... This is what you see when you order the bag: Sent my samsung S2 (in great condition, no scratches, not broken, in a case as well) off to cash4phones (without doing my normal check ) waited 2 weeks then decided to contact these guys to see if they`d received the phone. 26-11-13: i got a reply via email: Feeling better, but still a tad concerned. I checked your site recently last weekend and confirmed my worries with a sinking feeling... 02-12-13 Got this email: They told me they were checking my phone on the 26-11-13 and now they`re only just checking my phone on the 2-12-13! I may even have to wait 10 days before I get a result! I think what`s going to happen now is they will delay until the Christmas holiday and I`ll be lucky to see anything before February, if that! It all sends a very, very bad feeling. I intend to phone them asap and send a letter requesting my phone right back- forget dealing with them. I`ll probably have to pay postage. Is this a good plan? Just get the phone back fast and go elsewhere? thanks in advance.
