  1. Hi guys, I'm new to this forum and I am not sure where to begin but I am a tad confused about a PCN I received on 18/11/18. I found myself at the Peel Centre in Stockport (first time I've ever been there) and there was an A4 sheet of paper over the parking meter that stated it was free parking on a Sunday. I thought to myself top banana and carried on with my shopping, after an hour or so I find this red notice from MyParkingCharge.co.uk plastered on the windscreen of the vehicle in question. I deduced that rather than walking away maybe I should have entered the reg of the vehicle but the signage didn't seem to stipulate that hence I thought nothing of it. Now, I'm assuming I'm going to get some letters in the post to declare who was driving. I have been looking for similar instances of cases such as mine to no avail so can someone please shed some light on this matter. Do I dispute the PCN? or Do I ignore any correspondence ? Any help would be golden. Ta
  2. Had a letter from ZZPS 71 days after an alleged parking offence was committed. No PCN from Premier Parking Ltd at all (genuinely), would be grateful for any advice. Thanks. As far as I am aware Premier Parking Ltd would have to issue a Parking Charge Notice within 14 days for it to be considered legal. The only problem is the legislation states that the notice is presumed sent unless proven to the contrary, v.hard to prove a negative - but for certainty these notices should be sent out by recorded mail.... as my letters to ZZPS have been.
  3. Hello My husband apparently went the wrong way down a one way street. He didn't see any signs. I was going to ask if anyone can identify any technicalities we could use to avoid paying the PCN but I can't upload the photos as I don't have enough posts! So I will ask the only question that I can without photos...The PCN arrived yesterday, 21 June 2018, (with first class postage) but I note that the notice is dated 13 June 2018. This means there is a very short time before the 14 days expire. Does this give us anything to argue? Thank you so much
  4. 1. The date of infringement? 16.08.18 2. Have you yet appealed to the parking company yet? [Y/N?] No 5.Who is the parking company? P4 Parking 6. where exactly did you park? On a double yellow line in Woolwich London. Land owned by Berkeley I parked on the double yellow outside my child’s nursery, with my hazard lights on, as I have been doing for the past year and a half when the 5 allocated parking spaces are full; as all of the parents collecting their children do every day. I always make sure that my parking is not causing a hazard or obstruction. I feel it is worth mentioning that I did have an encounter with a parking warden outside the nursery some time ago when I parked on the double yellow with my wheels on the pavement. The parking warden at the time told me off for having my wheels on the pavement but said I could park on any double yellow surrounding the nursery for 15 minutes (same amount of time allocated to the parking spaces) to collect my child. On the 16.08.18 I was parked on the double yellow for no longer than 15 minutes. As I exited the nursery I noticed a parking warden speaking to one of the parents and overheard the parent apologising. I hot-footed it to my car, got my child inside and then drove off thinking he had not reached my car... only to discover, approx 3 minutes later, the PCN partially hidden below my windscreen. I spoke with the concierge and they advised me to appeal, stating that there was nothing they could do about it themselves. I was fuming and still am because I honestly don’t know what they expect parents to do if there are no available parking spaces. I have to collect my child from the nursery by a certain time or risk being fined. Is it worth me contacting Berkeley to see if they would cancel the ticket? I feel that they have not produced sufficient provision for parent parking and then are penalising those who are left with no option but to park on the double yellow lines. I’ve also considered speaking to the nursery but can imagine they’re not going to want to get involved. Please can someone advise what you think my chances are of appealing and if I do have any, the best way to do it? Thanks in advance. NB. PCN attached.

  6. A bit of a running battle with these jokers, May they said I wasn't entitled to free scripts following one of their 'checks'. It seems that as I was on contribution based ESA as opposed to ''INCOME'' based, this negated 'free' scripts. Even the pharmacist informed me I was entitled to free scripts, however my disability advisor has confirmed that I am not. I called the NHSBSA weeks ago to inform them it was a genuine mistake, and I would gladly pay the cost of the script, obviously they said otherwise, and that I had to pay the penalty charge. I went online and paid the script fee of £8.60, received their threat letter yesterday and was a bit taken aback by their claim that they would treat treat my non payment as a ''deliberate decision to avoid paying charges I owe to the NHS, and they may start debt recovery proceedings through the county court. This means that my name will be recorded in the registry of county court judgements....blah blah blah.'' I've not called them yet, to inform them of the dates I will be available to attend court, and to laugh at their bully boy threat letter. For the avoidance of doubt, I will not be paying their penalty charge, and yes, I will go to court if needed. NHS THREAT.jpg.pdf NHS THREAT.jpg.pdf
  7. Hey guys, I just received a parking notice, the observation time is 10:19 to 10:27. I went and saw the same cars which were parked right next to me, and they didn't receive a parking ticket, but I did? I'm not sure how this has happened, it was a single yellow line, with no time restriction sign anywhere. Please help. Thank you in advance, if there is more information required from please let me know Cheers. Hope you aren't having a bad day as myself.
  8. Registered to follow this as I'm going through the same thing as of today. I've tried to read all the newbie threads but they're confusing so hoping this will give some clarity.

  10. Hi I wonder if any of you lovely people can help me? I was making a substantial delivery to a restaurant in Beverly ( Catering/janitorial supplies). I was in my 4x4 as the van was delivering elsewhere. The bay did have a restriction of 'goods vehicles only' but i did not see that. The traffic warden agreed that she could see i was making a substantial delivery but said that i was using the wrong type of vehicle and issued a ticket. I appealed the ticket giving the copy of the delivery note and explaining that the goods are too heavy and many to park in the multi story and walk with them. They have rejected my appeal. I am not happy about this and feel this is restrictive to their tenants and their suppliers. My concern is that I will need to make future deliveries in my car … how will I do this without getting a ticket or knackering my back by parking in the multi story? Does anyone have any advise or similar situations?
  11. 1 Date of the infringement 20th September 2018 2 Date on the NTK 27th September 2018 3 Date received 29th September 2018 4 Does the NTK mention schedule 4 of The Protections of Freedoms Act 2012? Yes 5 Is there any photographic evidence of the event? Only the ANPR Photos 6 Have you appealed? Yes, As the registered Keeper, asking for evidence of adequate signage and denying liability or contractual agreement..in essence to get a POPLA Code. Have you had a response? Yes, Appeal rejected on the basis that the notice was correctly issued and vehicle was parked in breach of terms. 7 Who is the parking company? Britania Parking 8. Where exactly Lydiards Field, Swindon Hi all, just wondering what to do next? They've given me a POPLA verification code to appeal.. Shall i appeal and on what basis? or shall i wait it out and do nothing? Regards, Jordan
  12. Hi all, Wondered if anyone could help. I recently purchased a new vehicle and had driven over Waterloo Bridge during the congestion charge times forgot that the vehicle was not registered on CC autopay after driving my previous vehicle for so long which had been registered on autopay for a long time. I received no warning letters nor a bill for the congestion charge simply a £65 PCN straight away. I understand I messed up by forgetting to set up the autopay on the new car but obviously not everyone is on top of their game 24/7. Is there any way around this or to appeal it in anyway? Any advice/clarification would be appreciated. Thank you Regards
  13. Dear all, Exeter Road Car Park, Braunton, EX33 2JJ - Parking Charge Notice I have also been subject to this rather off-putting Parking Charge Notice in the same place; Following the thread above I have completed the questions from the link below: 1. Date of the infringement: - 05/10/18. 2. Date on the NTK [this must have been received within 14 days from the 'offence' date]: - 11/10/18. 3. Date received: - 12 or 13/10/18. 4. Does the NTK mention schedule 4 of The Protections of Freedoms Act 2012? [y/n?]: - Yes. 5. Is there any photographic evidence of the event?: - Yes. Two photos of car. Two of numberplate [both dark]. 6. Have you appealed? [y/n?] post up your appeal]: - Not yet, but I have drafted it and posted below. Have you had a response? [Y/N?] post it up: - N/A - not yet. 7. Who is the parking company?: - Premier Park Ltd 8. Where exactly [carpark name and town]: - Exeter Road Car Park, Braunton, EX33 2JJ Draft online Parking Charge Notice Appeal wording: "Dear Sir/Madam, Please be advised that in normal circumstances I am law and rule abiding, in any case.
At the time in question this was no different, however, after recalling this journey to an area that I am not familiar with and which receives a significant amount of tourism traffic, I would state that the terms and conditions of the car park are not sufficient for the average visitor to use and create a valid contract. Specifically I am appealing against the availability of, and clearness of, the signage and how well lit the car park is to make this reasonably visible to any user in order to create an acceptable contract. At the time of the evening stated, and as can be evidenced from your own photographic evidence stated, it was almost pitch black dark if not for the light omitted from a vehicle itself. So much so that the vehicle make, model, colour or driver cannot be determined. If I recall correctly, at the given time of the evening, a bus also pulled into the bus lane outside the car park on Exeter Road, meaning that anyone would have to tightly pull in front of it to gain access to the car park, missing blocked entry signage and parking terms signage. The darkness of the evidence provided also does not display and make clear were my car was photographed and if it even entered the car park or remained stationary/unattended there for any period of time at all.
Please can I appeal to good faith that if the displays were clear and visible I would have seen no option but to comply with the terms and conditions, but in this case, for multiple reasons, the terms were not clear enough for me to be made aware to do so at the time. There is also no evidence provided to the contrary that the car park is clearly displayed, including its terms, or sufficiently lit to substantiate the claim that any contravention was intentionally made at the time. If you do not agree that this penalty has been unfairly applied and reject my appeal, I will be left with no option but to further this appeal with IAS. I look forward to hearing from you Regards," --------------- Any help you could give here would be greatly appreciated?? and I hope that this helps others Thank you
  14. I received a ticket for parking in a disabled bay. The markings we so bad I honestly didn't notice it was a restricted bay. The warden even said he'd appeal which I did. The reply from the council acknowledges that the bay markings 'are not in the best condition'. Is there rules about the road marking and their condition which would give me grounds to appeal
  15. Hi, I am new too. I have found this thread very interesting. My daughter parked in a car park of a housing association. She did not see a car parking notice and thought she would be ok for a short while as there were only 3 cars parked in there. On her return she had received a parking ticket from Vehicle Control Services, Sheffield. She stated that it did not even look real and so ignored it. She then had a letter requesting payment which she stated looked 'fake' and ignored it again and again. She would have paid the £60 fine if she thought it was legitimate. She then received a letter for £120 and ignored that. She has now received a claim form from county court Business Centre, Northampton and this also looks like a fake document, but it might not be. She rang the telephone number on there, but it went to answerphone. The fine now stands at £185 with a limited time in which to pay. On the form it is asking for a number of personal details one being 'Bank account and savings - the account is in credit by .... and the account is overdrawn by ...... Income ..... Surely this cannot have come from the court, but it may have? There is a Claim No. on the Form. She does not know whether to ignore it as it is probably a [problem], or whether to pay it as, if she does have to go to court, she does not want it to affect her credit rating. Any help would be much appreciated. Issue Date on the Claim Form was 29th May 2018 - Have 14 days to go back to them - which doesn't leave long!
  16. Hi, My first post so I hope I have stuck to all rules. I received a PCN today from SIP in Manchester for not parking in marked bay. I returned from a court appointment in the family courts and had the PCN on my windscreen. I had paid the parking for the period via the app. The markings for the actual bays was almost none existent and also it was the end of an arm in the under rail parking on Harding Street in Salford. My thoughts are that due to the poor quality of the "marked bays" they have no case. i parked as you can see from the photos as close as I could to the next car so that someone could get in and out of there car. I have parked here in this place for about 18 years and only recently have SIP took management of it. Won't be going again And yes it was private land 1 The date of infringement? 22/10/2018 2 Have you yet appealed to the parking company yet? [N] If you haven't appealed yet - ,......... have you received a Notice To Keeper? (NTK) [must be received by you between 29-56 days] 5 Who is the parking company? SIP 6. where exactly [Carpark name and town] did you park? Harding Street Salford PDF.pdf
  17. Quick overview - booked via Holiday extras overnight stay at Travelodge and Long stay parking for trip from Liverpool airport. 1 of my passengers is 88 with heart failure and another is 71 with spinal stenosis, both with blue badges. Parked in a disabled bay but at 6am in the dark and me running around getting a luggage trolley I missed the fact that neither of them had put a BB on the dashboard as requested. First I knew I came back to a red card under my wiper from "MyParkingCharge.co.uk". It clearly says "This is not a parking charge notice" and suggests I go on their website to "View details of the recorded contravention" but I'm dubious about that. They also say after 5 days they'll get details from DVLA (long stay carpark - 5 days to reply?) Mostly I'm reading to ignore these things, but could I defend this if they took it to court? Here's the detail: 1 The date of infringement? 09/10/18 2 Have you yet appealed to the parking company yet? [Y/N?] No have you received a Notice To Keeper? (NTK) [must be received by you between 29-56 days]No 5 Who is the parking company?MyParkingCharge (but I suspect VCS from the serial number) 6. where exactly [Carpark name and town] did you park? Liverpool Airport Hope somebody can advise. Thanks in advance.
  18. Hi folks. Much the same as many people here I suspect, my first post is about a Parking Charge Notice I received. I'm aware this isn't a penalty charge notice. I have read many different stories about Gemini but I believe mine is a little unique. I and my motorbike (yes, my motorbike) received a Parking Charge Notice, stuck onto my petrol tank at the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park. Date/Time - 11/08/16 16:50 The Issue reason is "Parking in a No Parking area". I have not appealed yet. All excuses aside - those being that I was attending a job interview and could find NO parking facilities at all. Eventually I locked my motorbike up to a bicycle railing completely missing the road signs as you can see in the photo attachment. I got back to my bike to find the parking charge notice on it. I have till Thursday (the 14th day) to appeal to keep within the £60 reduced fee (from £100). So much advice says ignore the Parking Charge Notice, but I feel my situation is quite unique. What advice do any of you sages have? Cheers in advance.
  19. Honestly I had no idea these companies could now just take pictures of your car and charge you, if anyone could help I would really appreciate it, if you need any other information please do let me know. I found the seven questions I was asked to answer below, honestly I have no idea why there would be a limit in a service station in the middle of no where. I wasn't actually driving the car although I guess they don't care. 1 Date of the infringement 19.09.2018 2 Date on the NTK [this must have been received within 14 days from the 'offence' date] 25.09.2018 3 Date received 28.09.2018 4 Does the NTK mention schedule 4 of The Protections of Freedoms Act 2012? [y/n?] Yes 5 Is there any photographic evidence of the event? Yes 6 Have you appealed? {y/n?] post up your appeal] Have you had a response? [Y/N?] post it up No I have not appealed 7 Who is the parking company? ParkingEye 8. Where exactly [carpark name and town] Euro Garages Deeside Service Station For either option, does it say which appeals body they operate under. There are two official bodies, the BPA and the IAS. If you are unsure, please check HERE THe BPA If you have received any other correspondence, please mention it here No
  20. Hi All, I'm new to this forum but hope someone can help me out? I received a PCN through post yesterday from PCP enforcement agency (trading name of parkshield collection Ltd) Date of event (doesn't say offence)-30/08/2018 location - service/estate roads off anchor road,harbourside,Bristol,bs1 During period from: 22:20:55 to time of notice issue at:22:40:18 reason for issue- no valid permit Now the only problem with this notice is that I've never been to Bristol and the vehicle in question has been SORN off road for 2 years and is parked at my parents house except when it has MOT or my dad uses it for work (trade plates are then used) I have been on the agency's website to appeal but can't as I don't have notice issued obviously and there's no sign of any photographic evidence either. Not sure what to do next, write an appeal which I don't think is fair seeing as it's definitely not my fault. Any help would be much appreciated. Thank you.
  21. HI, apologies for randomly contacting you https://www.consumeractiongroup.co.uk/forum/showthread.php?488162-VCS-final-demand-before-court-action - I have received a similar letter from PCN today re a PCN in Edinburgh from May 2015- can I ask what you did re your case? It was def my car, but I was not driving it at the time of the PCN!! Thanks
  22. I received a parking charge in 2013 for 2 mins stopped at the side of the road at Liverpool Airport. VCS took a photo and sent several letters in 2013 from various "debt collectors" etc - I ignored everyone like the advice given and about 12 months later they stopped. Out of the blue BW legal seem to have bought the data and sent me a claim letter for an alleged office in January 2013. for £100 PCV charge plus £54 legal costs? is there a time limit for these and can they go back to all that time and start again?
  23. Guys, any help will be appreciated regarding this matter. I was given ticket for parking wholly on pavement, I parked on same spot previously and it was fine. The other thing is I'm trade plate driver delivering sain car client before this happened. Can I be able to challenge this ticket given that I'm not the keeper or owner. Many thanks. pcn.pdf
  24. Hi guys I have an issue similar to a few others on here, involving the Swansea based Millennium Parking Services. My vehicle was parked in a residential area in Swansea, totally oblivious to any signs advising it was Private Property and Permit Holders Only. Received the PCN stuck to windscreen upon return to the vehicle. The original ticket charge of £100 has not been paid. As the registered keeper, I received the NOK a month or so later and have retained it. It has not been acted upon my me. More recently, I received a demand for £160 from Debt Recovery Plus. I have ignored all requests for payment so far. I'm quite comfortable going through the court process if it comes to that, but would you advise on any action I should take now that might help prevent being taken to court, or even assist with the defence if that day does come? I'd be keen to save myself on the hassle and time wasted in going to court if I can help it, for the want of a well worded letter of dispute. Cheers, Sham
  25. Hi I hope someone can assist with the latest PCN recieved by my company on the 26/09/18. I have tried to review video evidence on-line but I am unable to download it as my browser is not compatible? Can I request details direct from Camden and if so will this start the appeal process? I reviewed pics submitted - 1st pic time 08.54.02, 2nd 08.54.13, 3rd 08.54.15 & 4th 08.55.15. I do recall that at time of alleged offence, trafalgar square was closed due to emergency road repairs in which caused more traffic than usual in surrounding area and gridlocked in places. I remember approaching the junction when suddenly various vehicles were crossing lanes in front of me, including buses in which blocked my original clear access. Also on reviewing the PCN, should it not state a contravention code or exact location due to 8 box junctions on Shaftesbury Avenue? I was crossing Shaftesbury avenue as I was actually travelling down Bloomsbury St. I drove down there today and could not see any appropriate signage apart from bus lane cameras. They also state that recording was made by an approved device yet I did not see any traffic enforcement cameras. Finally will it be Friday 5th October to submit appeal to still recieve 50% reduction? Many Thanks for looking. img20180928_17161721.pdf img20180928_17174174.pdf
