  1. I truly hope this was due to health reasons and for no other ! I do appreciate because of their training, they might not be suitable as family pets once they have been retired. But there must be some place for them.
  2. I had an accident last year and i fractured my coccyx. It never got any better. I have recently been referred to Muscular Skeletal Clinic and diagnosed with severe Coccydinia. I cannot sit for longer than 10 mins without being in agony and that pain makes it horrendous to move positions. I cannot stand up properly, takes me a good 5 minutes to do so. I cant walk at normal speed, I have a stick to help me and I have to have help getting into bed as i cannot lift my legs onto the bed. Is it worth appealing? I have had an injection into the area which failed to relieve the pain. I am on tramadol for the pain at the moment. Im a bit of a mess to be honest. Honest opinions please?
  3. Hi all, My Customer Subscriber ID: xxx TT Number: xxx Appellate TT Number: xxx My internet is down since more than past 7 days i.e. since the morning of 13th July, 2013. My Customer Subscriber ID is xxx. I registered a complaint 205819488 on the morning of 14th July, 2013 at 9 am with a person named Bhushan in your Wimax Dept. He said there was problem with Base Stations in Pune and all others except my area station are up. I asked for a resolution time and he said it will be up by 1-2 hours with a 4 hours max deadline. I asked for a complaint number but he said there was no need to register complaint. I insisted and he gave me saying that without ticket, my issue would be resolved in 4 hours and with ticket in 24 hours. I called again after 4 hours i.e. at 2 pm on 14th July, 2013 as Internet was still not Up. He said he has no update. I asked him to transfer call to Floor Supervisor, he wrongly transferred to Broadband Dept, where Kaushik transferred to Sneha, who said she was Floor Supervisor. She promised Net would be up in 24 hours i.e. by 9 am on 15th July, 2013 as she will send a an Engineer to look into the issue. No Engineer from Reliance came to my home as promised. But Internet at my home is still down now at 12 pm on 16th July, 2013. I do not understand why no one gave me a correct resolution deadline and why Internet is still down. I am already paying a high amount for internet as you dont give Broadband in my area but only Wimax. I will have to cut the payment in the bill for this month for as many days as the net is down. I have emailed you daily and have got a few calls from your officers saying issue will be resolved in a day or 2 day before yesterday. But there is no resolution yet. Its highly inconvenient for me and appalling service from Reliance! When will my Internet START WORKING???? WHAT the HELL is going on? My Reliance Wimax Internet is down since 7 days now and its been 6 days since I registered a complaint. Your resolution time for complaints is 24 hours and its extremely appalling that no action has been taken from your side. Several promises were made and none of them has been fulfilled. I want to discontinue the service of Reliance if Internet is not up by tomorrow.
  4. I reckon the companies will change their options around - Post Office Telecom had a message on their automated system which advised that the options had been changed ! So I think perhaps these companies wont like this guy's idea
  5. All their related websites are down. Have the OFT finally acted on these muppets? https://www.toothfairyfinance.com/ https://www.northerndebtrecovery.com/
  6. Hi everybody, we bought a car on Wednesday from a used car dealer, Saturday afternoon it breaks down, spoke to garage yesterday they said" its out of there hands" I have to get the car back to them and there's no courtesy car available and no recovery, what can I say to them we paid 4250 for the car with 3 months warranty. They also knew it was for running an ill family member about. Any help greatly appreciated
  7. Ok so I have been on JSA since January this year. However I am due to sign however I have come down with a awful stomach bug and have been vomiting for the last few hours and I know for a fact I wont make it to my appt. My voice has gone because I have been throwing up too much and I can barely speak. I've never missed an apt nor have I had any problems so whats the procedure now. I don't want to attend and end up being sick, plus ive become quite weak and have been sleeping constantly for a whole day. I may even get my mother to phone in because I just can't talk at the moment so hopefully they can relay the info to her and my mother to me so I know what I have to do nxt but can anyone give me a heads up? Will I get my payment later? And can I just call my local office instead of going through the main one which sometimes takes about 45mins to get an answer.
  8. It was my understanding that they were ordered by the FSA to write to all customers to whom they had sold PPI whether or not a claim might follow. From what I understand they didnt do this.. so why should they now be let off the hook ? Read more :- http://www.thetimes.co.uk/tto/business/industries/banking/article3658853.ece
  9. Hi All, We broke-down in France last week and have been flown home by the AA. We then got a call to say it was the clutch and it would cost 800 Euro's. I've checked and it seems this is a lot of money and in the UK for example it would only cost about £300. It does appear it would cost more in france but still not as much as the quote. Do I have any rights to dispute this amount? Thanks
  10. Hey guys n gals. Does anyone else find that the CCregister isn't working? I've tried several searches on several browsers (mac and windows) and they all get stuck at 'waiting....'. The link I used is this one: http://www.oft.gov.uk/ConsumerCreditRegister Cheers A
  11. I've been offered a job that on paper is 15 hours a week, which would mean that I would be better off with the job than on JSA. If an opportunity like this came up normally I would take it. However, here's the bad information about the job. It's only a temporary role, which is three months long. Most importantly the hours of work each day aren't fixed. Some days I would be working one or two hours a day and occasionally not at all. The interviewer was quite clear that I would only be paid for the hours I work and that on average I would be working less than 10. They mentioned that since I would officially be working 15 hours and technically being paid £90 a week, this would likely cause problems with my benefits. If I go by an average of 10 hours a week, with travel costs taken away I would only receive £45 a week, which only just covers my monthly rent. As it would be less then 10 hours a week on most weeks the job wouldn't even cover my rent at all most of the time as I would be taking home less than £40 a week on average. Am I able to turn this job down? It seems very dodgy as if DWP find out, I would technically have refused a £90 a week job, even though the job on average would pay around half of this. The interviewer did sound a number of concerns about my financial state if I was to take the job, so I think it is unlikely that they would report me to DWP.
  12. And came on for some perspective lol. I keep getting these random phone calls at work by someone whos quite aggressive. He sounds like a solicitor but that may be his point. I tell him im not avaliable lol and he gives me his name and phone number and before i can ask him who he is he slams the phone down. Its freaking me out a little bit to be honest. I've tried to trace the number online but nothing is coming up. The only thing that did come up was a possible solicitor but would they do this?
  13. Hi all, I had tests done last year to see what was up with me as i was in so much pain and it turns out i have" Rheumatoid arthritis" The RA is that bad i had to stop work, as i would work for 2 days and then the pain from the RA would be that bad! i would be lucky to get out of bed the next day, and it would take me 4 to 5 days to get back on my feet! so only working for 2 days then in pain for 4/5 day if not longer! is not good! and only being 43, life is not the same as it was....and with a long road ahead! so i stop'ed work and went on ESA, i 1st put in for D.L.A about 3 months ago and got turned down, so i left it until now! i got letter back last week and they have turned me down for a 2nd time, i phoned them! to ask why! and they said they did not have anything on the file to say why, i then went on to say its a joke, i then said to her what about the big write up on the D.W.P site about RA, & Equality Act 2010 Guidance, and what it says in there about RA, at the end i said i want to appeal it!, and she said don't you want us to look over a 2nd time before you appeal it! i ask how long that would take and she said 10 to 11 weeks i said to her how longs the appeal take and she said the same 10 to 11 weeks, i said no i'll appeal right away thanks.....
  14. hi, i hope I've posted this in the correct section. On the 10th January, i had a job interview for a parts person at an auto factors. Following the interview, i was contacted on the following Monday to say they would like to offer me the job and when would i be able to start. As i was still employed i had to give 1 weeks notice and they said that was fine so we agreed that i would start on Tuesday Nd January. So i handed in my notice at my job and proceeded to work my full 1 weeks notice and my last day would be Sunday Th Jan. This morning, I had a phone call from my new employer who said he had some bad news. His had office has postponed all recruitment due to the economic climate. He said although last week they agreed to hire someone, they have no retracted that choice and are now stopping all recruitment, which leaves me with no job. I would like to know where I stand as i am potentially unemployed on the basis that they said i had the job, then let me down, the day before i was suppose to start. Although there was no written confirmation, there was a verbal one which i have been told can be legally binding. Any information would be greatly appreciated. But for now all i can do is keep up the job hut, i haven't been unemployed since i left school and i don't want to be now. Thanks in advance!!
  15. It has come to our notice that Vanquis or its referral agents are making statements to the effect that having a Vanquis card can build your credit score/improve credit lending possibilities. It is well established that Vanquis (Provident group) are lenders to borrowers who have had poor credit histories or have been turned down from the mainstream card issuers. We think that this is miss leading. If you currently have (or have had) a Vanquis card and gone on to apply for a Credit Card from another established card issuer, please post below including; 1.When you took out your Vanquis card/the original limit and any credit increases ? 2.When you applied to another issuer and which one ? 3.Whether you were accepted or rejected ? 4.Whether you had maintained repayments on your Vanquis card as due,and had managed the card responsibly ? 5.Any other info you think may be relevant to post in response to the thread title ?
  16. Hi all I have been searching the forum for a couple of days looking for an answer and although there are some familiar comments to my issue the advise seems to be first class so I thought i would post up my scenario. In essence I applied for a refund of ppi payments on a credit card loan. These were typically monthly payments and costs were relative to balance of the card at the time. I had this card for approx 3 years. On receiving the card I got the tear of slip saying that if you wanted ppi to fill in and return and it would be applied. This I still have and it was never sent back as i did not need the insurance. However looking back through my statements it was applied from the word go. I sent a letter claiming back the payments via the standard form and eventually got a letter back stating your claim was being turned down. The reason being was i had a call 6 month later from a call centre selling me the insurance. However when i look at my statement the ppi shows on my statement 6 months previous to this alleged sales call. They also state that as the monthly payment was clearly shown on each statement that i must have known i had it and should have claimed. Surely the issue is that it was applied to my card initially and the obviousness is irrelevant. They have sent 2 copies of statements to show this. They also sent me a copy of the terms with the cancellation rules and say it is clear. On this my counter argument is i did not receive any docs. Do I have a case to go back to them with or do i go to the ombudsman. Are these legit reasons to not pay out etc. Any advise would be most appreciated Thanks MossgG
  17. Hie. Just wanted to find out if i could ever re-apply for a bank account with Barclays after they closed my account in 2006 due to defaulted Barclaycard? I did not pay or akcnowledge the barclaycard so that default has just come off my credit file last month. My credit score has improved thanks to good management of my vanquis card and running a marisota account. I nolonger have any defaults on my account and never had any CCJs.

  20. Hi just here to see if anyone can help with a billing problem by usenext.. Thanks
  21. We may have a buyer for our home in Spain and I would very much like to return to the UK to be nearer to my children. Unfortunately we have had to drop the house price so low that we will pretty much just cover the mortgage and there won't be enough left to settle our debts in the UK as we had hoped. We have defaulted debts in the UK that will become statute barred in two years. I'm worried that by moving back we will suddenly be bombarded by debt collectors. Is there any way that we can stay under the radar? We will need to rent, as we won't have money to buy, but we'll hopefully have enough cash to pay six months rent up front. Will the agency still need to do a credit check? Can they do a check if we ask them not to? Will looking for employment result in a credit check being done? How about obtaining an enhanced criminal records check? I will need one of those. What other things would flag us up? We could, once we find jobs, start some kind of payment plan, but it will be many many years until we can clear everything which means we will probably never ever be able to build a credit rating again as we are getting on a bit. I am really hoping we can hang on until the debts become statute barred or we win the lottery and can clear the lot. Wishful thinking, I know. The debts are all unsecured and there are no CCJs. However I'm worried that if a CCJ is taken out when we return, we won't have the money to settle it. Presumably creditors can apply for a CCJ at any time? Alternatively we could just stay in Spain and hope for the best, but if we don't return soon it is very unlikely that my husband will find a job if we return in a couple of years. The longer we stay away, the more difficult it will be. If we had any way of paying the debts, I would happily do so, if only to be free of the worry and guilt, but we are just not in a position to clear them.
  22. Hello everyone, Thank you in advance for reading this and commenting. Yet again my network service has gone down with o2. I am on a contract with them. In July it went down and we had a discount on our September bill. Am I able to cancel my contract now free of charge due to them not providing the service set out in the contract? Katie
  23. Hi Just tried to access the site at www.speedcredit.co.uk I get http://www.speedcredit.co.uk is unavailable or may not exist. Anyone esle got this problem? Cheers Matt
  24. Hi, I've just found this site as a means to attempt to get some sense out of Vodafone on an issue that has been affecting the village where I live. The local mast has been down since 2nd Sept (2.5weeks ago!) and despite several contacts to Customer Services they have no idea when this fault will be resolved. The last CS chap advised, please bear with us but be aware some faults take months to fix! Not acceptable. To add to this, the mast was down for 3weeks back in May/June of this year also, with severe disruption experienced yet again, which was again not acceptable when you are paying for a contract and not getting any service. Vodafone listen to the frustrations but advise they cannot confirm when the mast will be repaired. Our local village is fuming understandably and I wanted to see what options we had by way of early our terminating contract as I rely on my phone for work and it is now at a stage where I am being personally affected financially for missed temporary work from agencies that call between 7am-8.30am offering work...calls/txts of which I cannot receive unless I go to the next village to receive! If anyone on here is from Vodafone, I have raised a case online #9905352 Regards,
  25. Hi Guys Just popping in to say hello and give you a wee update. My 3 payday loans are now 2. Made my final payment to PDUK this morning and awaiting confirmation email to say i'm paid up in full and my account is now closed. Lending Stream get their final payment at the beginning of next month, and Wonga runs a bit longer, but they agreed to a very low monthly payment of which i am grateful for. Fought my friends corner with Swift Sterling, and you could have knocked me over with a feather when they wrote off all interest and charges and told her the remaining balance could be paid at whatever amount she could afford every month until the balance is cleared, and also a massively big apology too . Feel my life is really turning a big corner and its all thanks to you guys and especially Rene. Never again, as this whole situation has taken its toll, especially on my health. Once my final payment is made to Lending Stream, i will be making a donation to CAG. As already said, i couldn't have done it without you all. Thanks Again Guys Big Love, Grumpy xxx
