  1. I had a time to pay hearing today for a credit card debt. Cabot was represented by nolans. I offered 10 per month on my court documents. Nolans rejected this and today we had a hearing. I'm a bit confused by it all. I said I was financially struggling. I was told an open decree was granted and I had to pay. So what does that now mean? I asked what happens next and was told that was up to nolans. Help!
  2. Dear RMT/Southwestern Railway, I am a wheelchair user and do not drive, so am entirely dependent on public transport. I had intended to travel to my sister’s home on Saturday 21st December. When the strike on that date was announced we explored various alternatives as I cannot risk travelling on a train that would have already been crowded but is now likely to involve additional changes and be even more crowded, if it runs at all. One of the services I need to use only has one wheelchair space, so if it’s already occupied I could have ended up waiting hours for another train. I cannot use

  4. So here's a brief rundown of my situation. I have a large loan with RBS, and was paying it off fine until about 8 months ago when I got into serious financial difficulty. RBS helped for a short time reducing my payments to just £1 per month for three months but of course still adding interest at £200 per month...which by the way they said they would not do but that's another story. My circumstances didn't improve and I have spent the last 5 months trying to reach an agreement with them. Eventually they agreed to accept a token payment of £1 per month and stop all interest and
  5. Hello, My mom has just received a letter from Atos asking her to telephone to arrange a medical (within 2 days of receipt of letter). Now my mom is in no state to be calling them, we are dealing here with severe mental health issues and she doesnt speak to anyone, she doesnt even know we have a letter! She has recently been referred to the Mental Health Team and we are awaiting contact from them. When the questionnaire arrived, a local agency helped me complete the form on my mom's behalf and they said she will need a home visit if a medical is needed. The Job Centre re
  6. Later this month, the long awaited Mersey Gateway will open to the public. The Mersey Gateway and the Silver Jubilee Bridges will both be tolled. The tolling system is called Merseyflow and will be operated by Emovis who operate the Dartford Crossing. In the same way as the Dartford Crossing, if payment of the toll is not paid by midnight the day after the crossing a Penalty Charge Notice will be issued for the amount of £40 (plus the unpaid toll fee). This sum will be reduced to a discounted rate of £20 if paid within the first 14 days of being issued. If the Penalty Ch
  7. MY 16-19 account had been opened in december 2016 and yesterday, the 23rd of February, I received a letter that my account was being closed, and that Barclays were unable to continue being my bankers. It offers no other explanation. I realized yesterday that my card was missing when I attempted to call them and tried to find my account number and sort code. I decided to go into a branch and was told that my account did not exist. I'm concerned whether there is any way I can reverse this decision and whether I will be able to open an account with another bank or building society such as Nationw
  8. After reading a number of threads I think I have made a mistake. I have 2 debts with Natwest 1. overdraft 1. loan account which they have combined together and I have been paying them an agreed amount .In 2008 I managed to get them to put in writing that they cannot produce an agreement for the loan and further they agreed that all of the money I pay them will be deducted from the overdraft only and it will revert to paying of the loan account when the overdraft is paid. According to their statements they are sticking to that arrangement .I am not

  14. It should be noted that to date (3rd Sept 2015) I have not received any personal response from Kwick Fit since I sent this to them on 28/8/15 via their online coolants form. Dear Sir, Complaint regarding Kwick Fit at Sunderland Road, Gateshead During a recent MOT of my car at this garage on 2/6/2015 it failed due to supposedly faulty wiper blades. These were replaced in order to pass the MOT. I was curious of this failure as I had run my finger along the blades beforehand and did not feel any damage on the rubber nor was there any obstruction on the windscreen. I asked for

  17. My Family & I were booked onto the 14:50 flight from Luton to Bodrum. (4th June 2013) We eventually took off at 23:15 from GATWICK! Still away at the moment so will fill out the form that Monarch have emailed me when I get back. The only info I have heard at the moment of the cause is because the flight from Faro to Luton that morning had a technical fault which had the knock effect of our delay. They can't refuse this one, surely? (The flight was 2723Km and there were 4 of us, 2 adults, 1 child, 1 infant). Anyone know likely payout if they cough up? TIA
  18. I've now been waiting 5 weeks since I put my application in. Is this normal? My circumstances are very simple; no loans, no credit card payment facilities, no overseas transactions and no bad credit history. I've just been promised for the 5th time that the account will be open in 2 working days.

  21. I have been studying with the Open University for about 6 years now. I took out and OUSBA loan to cover module fees in January. I took the loan out on the understanding that I was eligible for transitional fee's. I withdrew from the module in march time because it just wasn't for me, on the phone the lady told me to just carry on paying OUSBA and register for my new module that starts in october and they will use my OUSBA credit to pay for it, so I wouldn't lose anything and my new module would be paid for. Now thay have decided that I am no longer eligible for
  22. Many people moving home are putting themselves at risk of ID fraud by failing to tell their financial service providers their new address. A Royal Mail survey found a third of people moving forgot to give their new details to at least one provider. Half of those asked said they had received letters through the door thought to contain sensitive financial information for previous residents. The majority said that they were concerned about identity theft. The crime is used by fraudsters who gather personal information in order to raid a

  25. Hi I cannot open a bank account anywhere, I have tried every high street bank I can think of. Barclays briefly opened a basic account for me which was closed some 48 hours later with no reasoning or explanation. I have checked my credit file and whilst it is appalling in it's nature, lots of defaults and a couple of CCJs I was advised by Yorkshire Bank that I may have a fraud marker against my name - I cannot see this. There are no CIFAS warnings and I have registered with all 3 credit reference agencies. I have tried to open accounts with; Natwest Lloyd
