  1. A question for you guys out there. I have a wheelchair bound son and I bought him a car to transport him, he is unable to drive himself. Recently one of my sons while driving it had a prang with a boulder so the car is now off road while we sort out quotes to repair. Whilst it is offroad I have sorn'd the car and cancelled the insurance and it is outside his bungalow in communal parkling used by all the residents. The neighbours who are a bit stuck up have complained to the managing agents about the fact the car is an eye sore. The managing agents have stated unless it ir repaired within a certain amount of time the car will be towed and crushed. Also they have stated we need to insure and tax the car whilst it is on the communal land. I am sure that they are unable to take the car away and taxing and insuring the car is not needed while it is sorn'd and not on roads governed by the RTA. Can you confirm if I am correct and could someone point me to the regs so I can draft the managing agents a letter pointing them as to what they can an cannot do. Thanks in advance.
  2. The question you need to ask is Does Devere own the land? as based on your teddy bear argument I could say anyone going into your flat without a teddy bear has to pay me £100 even though I do not rent or own your flat

    Incompetent DVLA

If the postal order has not been cashed by DVLA then it can be presumed to be lost, in that case here is what you can do http://www.postoffice.co.uk/postal-orders-faqs
  4. CSA are not interested in any payments made outside a CSA arrangement they count for nothing.

  7. Bank won't charge back as they say they are refunding money even though it will take six calendar weeks. Even if they said it would take a year bank say it doesn't matter? and it is a lot of money. I think county court summons may be the only way as it should be quicker than 28 working days.
  8. I was scheduled to have eye treatment at optical express they unfortunately cancelled it at the last minute and have said they will refund my money. I called them today and they said it will take 28 working days due to their internal procedures. They took the money out of my account immediately surely this is wrong. Would I get my money back quicker if I issued a county court summons?
  9. You will also need to change the taxation class of the vehicle to disabled
  10. Accidental damage is a route, however does the college have no liability in this?
  11. Appologies if this is in the wrong forum but i could not find where to put this. My son is a resident at a college and he is permenantly in a wheelchair. Yesterday his carers got him out of bed into his wheelchair but unfortunately they placed his laptop between his seat and base so when he lowered his chair it broke his laptop which is essential for his college work. The college are denying any liability as they clearly state anything bought into the college is at the owners risk and all liability is refuted by the college. Are they legally able to do this? my son is very upset as he bought this laptop with money he inherited from his grandmother who passed away and he cannot afford to repair this. Thanks for any help
  12. to me one of the most dangerous set of drivers are the one who filter on to motorways at 40mph and it is very problematic if you are behind them
  13. Dont think you are right, I have had motor insurance for over 30 years and never asked to provide my licence, but my policies have always said licence type as Full because I told them I had a full licence.
  14. If he lost what would he have to pay, I assume if it is a free car park then the damages are £0.00
  15. Warranty is irrelvant loook at SOGA as in post #3
