  1. Even though they will still have my correct reg from the picture that is also taken at the time by the attendant? They could just punch that in instead and then they will have my address etc? Thats what im worried about?
  2. Ok no problem. I shall leave it until a NTO comes through which I assume will be after the month is up to pay. But hopefully nothing will come through. Depending on what the reg will be, Ill get back to you guys on here and let you know. Thank you for the help so far
  3. True about the X could be a poorly written K BUT PCN's are always typed...so the fact that it is an X rather than a K means he either thought it was an X or typed it by mistake - either way he has done it wrong therefore making it invalid surely!? But am I right to assume that the council will try it on every way the can hoping ill give up and pay!?
  4. If i write to the council and say option b). That is fine but my plate is a private plate so i doubt it will go to someone who has a similar one wrongfully? Should i just leave it and ignore any of the letters i receive? (As i expect they will get my address from the correct reg from the photo taken and hope i don't notice the mistake made - or in fact would they even know about the mistake made?). Or should I write to them anyway and say i don't own 'AAA AAX' - I own 'AAA AAK'?
  5. Hi Guys, New post here. Read a lot of the forums to seek advice and a lot of you have similar problems to the one I'm about to post so apologies for the repetitiveness. Anyway, this is regarding a PCN that I received from my council. Basically, the car park was a maximum 3 hour stay, I knew this and kept my eye on the clock, and when the time was nearly up I went back to my car and stuck another couple of hours on thinking that would be ok. Anyway, when I returned, I had a ticket on my car. I saw the parking guy and said what is this about as I am back within the time? He said that I wasn't permitted to come after the 3 hours and then stick on another 2 hours. I was supposed to leave that particular car park and find another - it was what was stated on the sign he says. So i went to the sign and yes it does say that but in very very small print - anyway this isn't my dispute. When I opened up the PCN, I noticed that he had put my reg number down wrong, the last letter on my reg is a K but he had put down an X. Does this mean that it wouldn't be able to be traced back to me regardless of them having a photo of my car with the correct reg as the legal document (PCN itself) is incorrect therefore making it invalid? Or will it just get messy with courts etc and better off paying the half price? Any light shed on the matter would be great cheers guys
