bathroom leak Insurance claim
Mr Worried replied to Mr Worried's topic in Insurance/Assurance Companies (Not Car Insurance)
It was from fitting the council had previously installed, Commercial and Corporate services stipulate that...after concluding enquiries into claim, that the council could not have known about the fault and that it is unforseable, therefore they dont accept responsability? So if they are not responsable1 then why did they repair the dammage to the ceiling? They urge him to seek independant legal advice etc. -
Hi, My mate had a leak from his bathroom through his kitchen ceiling and onto his lounge floor, So the council repaired leak and 'defective parts' and said he could make a claim to renew his flooring to lounge re the daaged caused by the leak. Now he recieved a letter from other dept of council saying bog off, we are not taking responsability because we could not forsee a problem with the plumbing and to make a claim on your own insurance? Surely he has a claim against them, would a letter to the dept that refused claim, suffice in reversing their decision? Cheers

Hi. 'Duty of care' is required by the Insurer, my solicitor is dealing with that re mitigation for court. the release fee and new insurer costs is circa £600, and thats just get released then if I am banned then the £600 will be in vain.? vehicle still has hp etc, so cant sell it, probs need to get a mate insured to drive me about etc during work, but then that is another job to create, which is tuff as I need work myself. uphill struggle is an understatement. I remain positive as I have been through the mill on other issues, however it is taking its toll on my relationship. onwards and upwards. Cheers

The loan is now closed and paid in full. However I want to dsar this account, Bluestone say they have the info? but shouldnt I request from the OC? Mr -
Hi and thanks for the reply...I just need some answers, Nram repo'd the house in May 2012. and I have requested paperwork to show me 'what happened' to this date I have received nothing despite my several calls to them, they pass me from one dept to the other, the last call I made prior to this post, they told me that they had no info for me? I want to hopefully claim back all that maybe is incorrect etc, and at least know 'what happened' Cheers

Hi 42 It seems like they swerve simple questions and answer what they want, I sent for the sar and they are obviously aware of that as they have called my mate 3 times since the request, yet they had not bothered him before, the latest letter from them to him is probably bourne from the sar request. I will update here later with all TSB comms.

I got through after 17 mins 9 secs on an 0845 number.. went through details only to be told, they know nothing of the person that called and that I was speaking with a control centre which is one of many around the country. The chap said no update had been made to the system and that he could not assist me further. Just going to await there re-call. Cheers All
