Shortfall after repossesion West Bromwich Building Society
sillygirl1 replied to Thefatman's topic in Home Repossessions
You shouldn't have offered the £1 per month. You have now given them every opportunity to chase you regularly and demand information from you. If I were you I would write stating that you had been given incorrect information as to the potential liability for this alleged debt and that you consider the matter closed under the statute of limitations as more than 12 years has passed since the cause of action. -
What you need to do is get her (if possible) to go directly to the hospital and ask to speak to somebody in HR/Payroll about this issue. If she can't go in person send the documents to the HR department AND the Payroll departments explaining the position. The documents you will need are Copy of the shifts authorised by the manager Staff No (this should be on a payslip) National Insurance No Covering letter explaining no payments received Without that lot nothing can be done over the phone. It will be too late now for December payroll but hopefully this will be sorted by January's payroll.

Your first port of call for any medical malpractice claim is the relevant hospitals Patient Liaision Service (PALS). Send your complaint to them and when it is exhausted or at stalemate then you can go further. If you haven't complained to PALS you have got very little chance of any success via any other route.

I much prefer the keyboard kindle myself, I have a small Kobo I could lend you to see if you like it - I don't like the size of it. If you PM me your address I will get it boxed up and sent to you next week. I had a spate of getting reading gadgets and still keep going back to the keyboard kindle. If you like the Kobo maybe we could swap!

Swift advances , i stopped repo, but now need help with BK hearing

They are passing the buck back. Follow their advice and go to the FSCS as the broker is unlikely to be trading. This kind of behaviour is typical of that sector of the market, blame everyone else except themselves. -

Wonga up to their old tricks?!

Sadly no, they will have your account details, it is the actual account you need to change. Just changing the card won't help. -

Tell your bank NOW, don't leave it until tomorrow or you may be in for a big surprise on Friday. -
Do nothing. Read up on the Statute of Limitations. They have six years from the date of the last payment to chase you. 10 years would be way outside that time limit.

Do a squiggle signature, after all that is what they send you. You need to use FILE SAVE AS within OpenOffice to rename the file to edit it.

These one-sided regulations really need to be sorted out - I reckon in 60% (at least) of the liability orders issues people already ARE paying the councils what they CAN. Liability orders, as I frequently say, should NOT be issued until the end of the financial year and should only be issued where NO communication and payment have been received.

Talktalk - Data Breach Question
sillygirl1 replied to sfuk's topic in Broadband and other Internet issues
Sadly Talk Talk will want to have 'proof positive' these calls were generated using data 'misappropriated' from them before anything may be done. Going by Talk Talk's track record in NOT dealing with a simple query expect a very long and protracted series of correspondence. -
Because I haven't used credit in a long time both Experian and Equifax want additional information from me to 'make sure we are dealing with the correct person'. Needless to say I am not 'helping them help me get the credit I deserve' as I actually don't want credit!
-
Creditors can only apply for a charging order AFTER the debt has gone to court and a CCJ obtained - they cannot automatically get a charging order 'just like that'.

Be aware that there are [problem] emails coming out claiming to be these delivery companies and they want money to redeliver a parcel, plus the customs fees etc....I've had a few lately even though I haven't ordered anything from abroad. I did get money back from the Royal Mail who overcharged me VAT (I had a VAT exemption certificate at the time) and that took several months to happen. They had NO reason to charge the VAT as it was clearly stated on the parcel and accompanying invoice that it was a VAT exempt item coming from the USA - AND they overcharged me on the 'assumed price' of the item - which was an old needlework kit - costing 10 quid - they said it was 100 quid..

In an earlier post you said you had to walk two miles to the station - now you are saying you catch a bus. Perhaps you could ask your GP to get you onto ESA instead of JSA and then you wouldn't have to go to SEETEC all the time.
-
I know the driver of that train, he gets up at 4.30am each morning to ensure he is at work on time. I think you need to look at things more positively and maybe visit your GP and ask for some counselling as you seem to be very negative all the time.

TalkTalk website hacked:4m customer's data at risk
sillygirl1 replied to Michael Browne's topic in Telecoms - mobile or fixed
Just for info Talk Talk are offering 'free credit monitoring' via Noddle - which is free anyway! I'm already on Noddle and they don't record their debts on there in the first place. Nothing in place which says I am a Talk Talk customer recorded there. -

Thanks Silverfox, I knew it was covered by law - brain getting into holiday mode now! -
Write down everything you have done to find a placement, the times you have called SEETEC (you should leave messages on the answerphone if it answers) and give them a copy of the bus timetable from your area.

In the Talk Talk terms and conditions there is a clause that sates they will securely keep your data and only reveal it to relevant organisations. This clause could be deemed to have been breached.
