I see the usual begging letters have gone out from Lowells

AS you've not got CTAX or Water Rates for 2months..

pay us that debt we claim your owe us!!

now I know my neighbours got debt

but 15 of them on debts dating back to 1982!!

Lowells must be short of money

with all these Court Cases they are losing thanks to Andyorch & CAG:lol:

please don't hit Quote...just type we know what we said earlier..

DCA's view debtors as suckers, marks and mugs

NO DCA has ANY legal powers whatsoever on ANY debt no matter what it's Type

and they

are NOT and can NEVER  be BAILIFFS. even if a debt has been to court..

If everyone stopped blindly paying DCA's Tomorrow, their industry would collapse overnight...

That has to be the most desperate begging letter I have ever seen!!

Since when did Priority debt, ie council tax, ever get wrapped up in a non priority debt which these clowns chase?

Deluded children, and the biggest kid of all, Andrew Bartle even puts his name to it!

Who ever heard of someone getting a job at the Jobcentre? The unemployed are sent there as penance for their sins, not to help them find work!

Ooh - I will look forward to getting one of those and telling them that there won't be anything left for them after I have put the money towards a holiday/telly/tablet

In fact there won't be anything for them....period :-)

Any advice given is done so on the assumption that recipients will also take professional advice where appropriate.

I thought April Fools had come early this year! I'm being serious...

Guess Lowell missed something here... Maybe they decided that the rule book no longer applies to them!

Dx I'm guessing you must have laughed when you saw this... Or maybe it made your jaw drop? :-P

Could I also suggest that case is put forward to the media with the letter in question... Could cause a big problem ;-)

This is beyond belief, my post has just arrived with such a letter.

The only contact I have with DCAs is via helping and advising people in the tight knit community within which I live.

I do not have problem debts and most certainly none with DCAs.

What concerns me is the number of vulnerable people who will receive this nonsense, many maybe seriously affected by the awful flooding and maybe facing homelessness or already evacuated from their homes.

My letter will be in the hands of a national news paper journalist later today I suggest anyone who receives this should take similar action.

Something to look forward to, perhaps?

"Dear Valued Client

Congratulations on reaching the age of 65! A wonderful achievement! Now that you are a senior citizen, however, you may have noticed some of your friends have started dying off. We of course sympathise with you for your loss. However, as someone of your mature years and experience will appreciate, every cloud has a silver lining, and I am writing to tell you how you can turn this situation to your advantage.

Yes, it's true! Now that you are in receipt of the state pension AND having to spend less money on Christmas and birthday presents and cards as more of your family and friends pre-decease you, you find yourself in the fortunate position, unavailable to many younger people, of being able to reduce your debts to us!

Please phone us today to talk to one of our caring customer services assistants. Don't delay! Who knows, you might die yourself before too long and you wouldn't want to have missed out on this glorious opportunity to give something back!

Call now! Discounts available for prompt replies!

Yours, dying to hear from you

A lot of people have taken the option of paying over 12 months in order to reduce their monthly outlay.. so why would they not realise this ?
