  1. Hi everyone, I'm new here and after some advice. I was made redundant from my job last September through no fault of my own and been signing on ever since. However, before Christmas I had an appointment with my advisor at my local job centre and gave me details of a job to apply for but 2 weeks ago I received a letter saying that they are going to stop my job seekers allowance from the end of January to the middle of march. I have since appealed the decision in writing but when i went to the job centre today I had to fill in another form and explain again. I know it was my fault for
  2. hi, any advice on clarifying a small matter would be helpful. we bought a bed for our son from an online store. the bed was hardly used as was in spare room just before the one year warranty it broke. they sent him a part to fix it but it broke again, same fault as before . he got in touch with the retailer and after some back and fourth they have said not their problem and have given us the manufacturers details. are they right or should the retailer sort this out as we believe the bed is not fit for purpose any advice would be appreciated.
  3. Ok a quick scan on his forum says I'm not alone but here's my story - just wondering what the best set of steps is, i.e. complain to NPOWER even though I'm not a current customer, raise it with the regulator, or other options. I was with NPOWER until December 2014. I paid my bills on a monthly direct debit budget scheme. When I switched suppliers I very kindly received a cheque from NPOWER for the balance on my account and thought that was that. Of course I then got bills, lots and lots of bills with lots and lots of amounts. It took them, in my opinion far to long
  4. Evening I am trying to search for Govt grants to help cover the costs of re-configuring a property. Relative has dementia. Spouse is sole carer - and it is really too much work for them. I want to get financial help to convert relative's existing home to make it more user-friendly for them and their spouse. There is currently no downstairs toilet/bathroom. Soon relative will no longer be able to get upstairs to sleep or bathe. I would like to reconfigure parking and garage space beneath relative's house to add a bedroom, bathroom and toilet. There are already two roo
  5. I checked my credit report recently and noticed that Anglian Water have been searching my file, 3 times over the last two months. I haven't lived in an Anglian Water area for well over 6 years, so it must be for an unpaid bill that is over 6 years old. They haven't written to me or attempted contact but I would really like to get this resolved. Can anyone give me some advice on my course of action please?
