Finally got a lottery win - only £10 but better than nothing. Haven't had a win in about 18 months! Only 'big' win was £68 for four numbers. I usually do two lucky dips (or three depending on how much change I get when I go shopping on Saturday morning). This week was 2 lucky dips.

Hangover also gone from yesterday - and due to go to Sunday lunch with a friend later...

What made me smile yesterday was i met Ken Wallis, inventor of the Autogyro. He is 93 and still Flying .

What an interesting man, a real treat chatting with him for an hour yesterday at the Waddington Airshow.

Ebay sending out emails asking people to sign a petition to:

"Demand an end to unfair trade practices.

eBay was built on a simple idea - that we could empower people by building a global trading platform where practically anyone could buy or sell practically anything. But that idea is now under threat from certain brand owners and manufacturers who are trying to turn back the clock and block the sale of their products on online marketplaces and other websites across the EU.

Ultimately, what is at stake is the right of sellers to compete fairly in the wider online marketplace, and the right of buyers to be able to access the best possible deals from the widest possible selection of goods.

Some of these brand owners argue that their objective is to prevent the sale of counterfeits on eBay. But thanks to our work with 31,000 other rights owners, only 0.15% of listings last year were detected or reported as potentially counterfeit. The real aim of these brands is to block the sale of all their products on our site - regardless of whether such items are new or second-hand, genuine or fake. It's not just luxury items that are affected, but also everyday items like children's toys, electronic equipment, lawnmowers and pushchairs. And if we want to prevent other brand owners from following suit, we need to act now."

I might think about signing it if eBay puts its own house in order.

They claim only 0.15% of listings were detected as potentially counterfeit - we've bought 21 things on eBay in the last 12 months - of which 4 or 5 have been fakes / copies / pirate (whatever name they chose to use). That's a lot higher percentage-wise than 0.15% and judging from conversations I've had with others we've had less problems than many!

Taking a jolly to Leeds to see my best mate Naomi and her new addition, Reenie (Careen), to her ever increasing army of kids!!!

'tis a 4 1/2 hour journey but well worth it - also, I ain't driving. The fantastic boyfriend (who is daft enough) agreed to drive there and back in a day just so I could see her :D:D

I won £20 on the Lottery this week - had £10 last week. I will do 3 lucky dips again on Wednesday - maybe lightening will strike again here and I will have another win (4 or 5 numbers would be great, most I've ever won was £67 about two years ago).

Seeing my 6 year old in his class assembly.

20 minutes this morning spent with him getting him to speak loudly and slowly - he was perfect by the time he left home.

Got to the assembly to see 30 kids all mumbling quickly into their chests (and watching the one kid every class has who's finger is constantly in their finger holster:D )

Time flies like an arrow...

Fruit flies like a banana.

I've just read a list of excuses that our members of staff have given for not coming into work. Here are some of them:-

Can you cover my work tonight, I feel really tired because I had a power cut yesterday.

I can't go to work this afternoon because I got cat littler in my eye!

Can't come in as I have got ants in the hallway

My grandad's died for the 15th time

I can't come into work today as I have got a screwdriver in my hand

[sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]If you think my post was helpful, please feel free to click my scales

A prudent question is one-half of wisdom.

:D
