Has any one seen the letters from the main politicians On Martin Lewis's Website.

The Pm apparently thinks that a automatic payout is a good idea.

Am I aloud to post the link?

“I would say to the House as I said to those who have joined this government: I have

nothing to offer but blood, toil, tears and sweat. We have before us an ordeal of the

most grievous kind. We have before us many, many long months of struggle and of

suffering.

You ask, what is our aim? I can answer in one word: Victory. Victory at all costs —

Victory in spite of all terror — Victory, however long and hard the road may be, for

without victory there is no survival.”

(Winston Churchill Addressing the House of commons.)

All complaints go to the lootube. All conversations go in the white box then you click submit.

But that is only once the "substantive issues" have been decided by a court so it won't be after the Supreme Court decision which is the final part of the "preliminary issues".

Politicians say many things when a general election is less than a year away ;)

If they really had the power to force automatic payouts at that time, would it change from a "promise" to an "aspiration"?

Had occasion to speak with 'Customer services' at HBOS when chasing up my claim for repayment of late charges.

Chatting whilst waiting for information to appear on her screen,I asked how busy that department was..

'Very busy' came the reply 'but we are dreading next week when all the other complaints start coming in'

I wonder what she meant:-)

Isn't it truly amazing what information someone can let slip when 'chatting'!

Since HSBC sold my accounts to Marlin and Marlin got sent packing in court, would it be truly evil to get my claim for charges in to HSBC now?

You know what is sad about all this so called political intervention is that's it's not for any of our benefits. I also notice that no politician say the magic word 'all' as in reference to paying back these charges.

Personally I've never been too sure about the motives of politicians. In fact we all saw what might be a glimpse of the true motives a while back. If that were any of us we'd have had penalties and cautions slapped on us. Once politicians involve themselves with anything relating to finance and bisiness you know it's a sure route to disaster. The pure thought of them now albeit for a temporary period going to take over the Railways East Line should put worry in anyone who travels on it.

They should just be honest and go back to calling it British Railways (Eastern Region) again.

NetworkRail owns the track and the stations and any moves to bring everything back under one roof should be applauded.

What the piggn' hell has Network Rail got to do with the Bank Charges? :D

Some people will need to use the rail network to get to London to hear the Supreme Court Judgement in person.

Surely, you knew that ;)

I really do hope that after all this time there is no need for individual court action, payments including interest and compensation for your loss had better be set whenever this is all done n dusted or its been a complete waste of time, roll on black wednesday.

It is unlikely anything apart from whether bank charge terms can be assessed for fairness will be resolved on Wednesday of next week. The Substantive issues should cover that.
