  1. You wat! If you would be so kind, any chance of a link so I can investigate further please? I honestly have found a few pilots for ESA like http://disabilityrightsuk.org/news/2013/november/esa-health-care-pilot-provider-guidance - which would be quite interesting if it was fully funded and didn't involve as I suspect care on the read Spot the dog books for the under 5s. Although they are a bit more technical than some might like. and have checked the guides on the site that can't be named which still state 6. So... would be very interested! I've only ever had 1 WFI with Ingus in early 2010 and even re-assessment 2 years ago hasn't triggered another. Famous last words
  2. How many of these interviews have you actually had? The legislation allows for a maximum 6. Any more and I'd complain. You can be sanctioned for not turning up to these 6 meetings. They're called Work Focused Interviews or WFIs
  3. What exactly are hint of sanctions? Plus what are you doing at the Job Center? With regards to A4E the initial go for a chat with them is mandatory and therefore sanctionable. Since you are in the 24 month before reassessment group except for turning up at that meeting there is nothing else you can be asked to do that will be sanctionable if you refuse it. Although A4E might/will try and tell you differently they are just lies and empty threats. So go say no thank you and walk away son! Unless you have a mobility issue then however you mobilise away son! Remember a JCP+ WFI sessions are a total of 6 for the life time of your ESA award and then that's it. Where as the Work Program is not just for Christmas it's for 2 years!
  4. Depends on how long he is signed off for on the fit note See the response to this FOI as if it's for a period of longer than 2 weeks they will have to claim ESA. https://www.whatdotheyknow.com/request/jsa28_and_being_sick_whilst_on_j For housing benefit/LHA/council tax they will need to sign a nil income declaration and hand that into the Council to keep them in payment. If they get their mortgage interest paid I'm not sure of but others here know.
  5. Not again bs0lth! I thought that you had claimed JSA? 1, did ATOS send a letter at all or was this a short date (within 7 days of date of call accepted during the call) appointment. See here http://www.atoshealthcare.com/claimants/faq_view/what_further_information_can_you_give_me Plus read here on appointments, notification of and also the section good cause for failure to attend. https://www.gov.uk/government/uploads/system/uploads/attachment_data/file/246171/Chapter_G1_-_Work_capability_assessment.pdf 2, I'd be arguing homelessness, mental health issues and lack of the letter informing you. 3, where is your mail/post going now? Did you get to pick it up from your house? Have you informed the DWP of change in address or c/o address for benefit notifications? More importantly where are you now and can you get post/mail there? You need to get a copy of all correspondence sent as a matter of urgency. Be-warned if they correctly sent the letters to the last known correct address unless you get lucky again this maybe a hiding to nothing as the tribunal will uphold the decision. 4, plus you know me and my insistence of written time lines to get things straight. 5, this time I'd really advise making that new claim for ESA/JSA (as we advised in your previous FTA thread) now whilst you try and sort this out. As we all know the DWP do tend to play hard ball on multiple FTAs no matter how much in the wrong we think/they know they are in the wrong. Basically the same advice we gave you last time is even more important to follow. Can anybody find the old version of decision making and appeals which shows good cause? They've made you.gov more user friendly again and finding something on there is like rubbing your eyes with a hedgehog!
  6. Okay this paints a new picture on things. The situation if I'm reading it right is as follows. 1, you received a letter from the DWP asking why you did not attend an ATOS WCA appointment. 2, you replied to the letter stating that it was canceled by ATOS via telephone call. 3, you have received a further letter from the DWP stating that they do not believe you so have upheld the disallowance of ESA and have thus ended your ESA claim. This is an absolute mess of a situation but all too common. Have a read of the thread I linked to in my previous post for some hints and tips. You need to; 1, try and get a call back from the decision maker who made the decision and try to make them understand what has happened and also to get them put their reasons for their decision in writing. Be-warned that the standard of communication by the general telephone staff is atrocious and it may take a couple of attempts and you will be told all sorts of stories if they do not understand you. 2, contact your MP and explain what has happened and ask for their assistance. They may or may not help but anything is worth a try and the DWP tend to respond quickly to them. Although not honestly sometimes so be prepared. 3, have a look for a record of the telephone call from ATOS on any of your phones. If need be send a SAR to the DWP requesting your full file for ESA and also the ATOS postal logs and telephone records for your address/phone number. 4, With a disallowance unless you can convince the DWP decision maker that it is wrong the only way forward will be either a, a new claim for ESA - go see your GP and get a fit note explain to them what has happened and hopefully they will back date it to the date of the disallowance decision. They are supposed to prioritise a new WCA in this situation but often need constant pressure and reminders to do this. Note this will not be paid until either you pass the new WCA or if you fail lodge a formal appeal - this may take some time especially with the new mandatory reconsideration phase. or b, make a claim for JSA This is your only means of getting any payment until the disallowance is decided in your favour. 5, if they will not reconsider in your favour appeal and gather your evidence for the appeal as outlined above. It'll take time but you should win it.
  7. No! The issue is that it takes hell freezing over before the DWP will back down over this as it knows the claimant can not go without money for the duration 6-9-12 months it will take to get to a tribunal! ATOS/DWP have to prove communication happened. ATOS keep postal logs but it has been proved that these are not detailed enough to prove they sent anything so is automatic tribunal win. Phone calls are a little bit more difficult but all digital telephone systems will have a log of all telephone calls made, it is computerised and it is easily checked. This all can be easily (well maybe) obtained via a SAR to the DWP as data controller asking for the ATOS postal log records and telephone history for your address and telephone number. Worked at SEMA pre 2000 and use to be the administrator of their MITEL telephone system which did all that back then. It's far easier now tbf! ATOS bought SEMA for the DHSS contracts they held. As long as the claimant can prove that a telephone call was made to them after the letter was sent by ATOS then is win. This is the hard bit though as unless you have a truecall system or they called your mobile phone (mmm although most digital handsets will record numbers dialed in) you have no record. Best course of action? Carry on with the reconsideration and if need be throw in the SAR to the DWP. If you need money; 1, try and claim JSA 2, submit a new ESA application - although you will not be paid on this until you have a WCA * note how long will mandatory reconsideration extend this? Have a read of this thread for a success in this http://www.consumeractiongroup.co.uk/forum/showthread.php?372590-ESA-Stopped-for-failing-to-attend-appointment.-Can-somebody-please-help&highlight=ESA+reconsideration as persistence and reasoning can often work wonders if the DWP is called often enough.
  8. Who is? That chart above is the basics. Still got to work out the power bit but it will happen. Use to smoke rollies as well and think all this twiddling with wick n wire is due to the fact my flat is too small to build a train set. Had a look at the tesla too and that looks well fancy! Came across this which is the ultimate decadence I hereby give you the excuse never to lift your arms again to vape The Goosenecks from Totally Twisted Texas http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1zsW85aryNM So much want Although now winter is upon us I'm for some reason thinking about a deerstalker hat and a pipe mod
  9. Oooooo this is a very astute observation. I've just had this done to me by the Community Options Team. It greatly confused me and altered my behavior as I could not comprehend how a person with 'apparently' my issues could do what they were doing to me. It's actually a Disability Discrimination Act issue as it shows a lack of understanding and is a belittling of the persons condition.
  10. The nominal reduction for JSA Income based is £1 for every £250 over £6000 in capital/savings. JSA Income Based stops completely when you hit the £16000 mark. Savings etc do not matter if you are on Contribution based benefits. Go with a policy of don't ask don't tell on the holidays. These notification rules were written well before the days of mobile telephones and internet so as Mr P says....... as long as you met your JSAg that's all that matters. Not sure on the CT but you could bang your details into a benefits checker like entitledto to see what you should/will be getting.
  11. VAMO V5 full kits are here (inc 3 batteries and charger) and only £50. http://myepack.co.uk/vamo-v5-full-kit-ss.html Must resist temptation......... Oooo snowy how does the CE 7 vape? that itaste looks like a nice bit of kit http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/gotvapes/450177-introducing-fantastic-new-itaste-vv-vw-v3-0-iclear10s-replaceable-coil-clearo-kit-available-four-styles-colors-video-within.html Not sure about it only having an 800 mah battery though?
  12. Why not PM this theory to an experienced board mod like Antone or Honeybee13? Lily I'd be very very weary of of accepting advice or giving your details via PM. 1, PM advice is not recommended/encouraged on these boards 2, You are leaving your self open to doing something that might be very harmful at a time you are at your most vulnerable. Edit I see our delectable Honeybee has dealt with this
  13. Pro Tank V2 with a 2mm Ekowool flavour wick and MVP2 set to 4 volts on a 2.5 ohns head Epiphany seriously it's underpants in the freezer territory It's like vaping mellow birds with a hint of worthers originals where as the EVODs with the same juice/ohms are an iceland shrimp ring
  14. You watt? Just kidding although Tesla whilst genius was recluse who only talked to pigeons (he felt they were better than humans) so my mind boggled a bit. Especially after seeing you can now get wireless chargers and Ancient Aliens theory of the pyramids as a wireless energy grid - which is one of the things Tesla was perfecting for free energy for all - well with out the pyramid bit.l I'll google it later. Pro Tank washed/soaked over night/dried and now in use today. Bit airy until I upped the voltage from 3.7 to 3.8 now 4 volts on the 2.5 ohms coils it came with. It also came with a voltage to ohms chart. Something my MVP didn't come with 1.7-1.9 ohms 3.1-3.3 volts 2.1-2.3 - 3.4-3.7 2.4-2.6 - 3.8-4.1 2.6-3.0 - 4.2-4.5 Note: The standard single in a tube type EGO batteries will at best only output 3.8v when brand new. Mine 2 months old are 3.7 fully charged. All batteries cut out at 3.3v so according to the chart will not work with a protank unless you are using low ohms coils. Twists might work? Just need to work out what setting the power function on the MVP does and it'll be bonza vape fest. No leakage which I've heard was a bit of an issue with them and unlike the MT3s tanks (which tend to short if tightened too much and need the bottom + pin of the head wiggled down a bit to connect) work perfectly on my MVP v2 My tip for all KANGER Tanks is replace the top 2 1mm flavour wicks (not wrapped round the coil wick) with a single 2mm wick. I'm using Ekowool (which apparently expands - burn it with a lighter before cutting or it frays catastrophically) and now only get flooding into the battery when it goes to almost empty levels. All my KANGER tanks EVOD/MT3s have suffered with gurgling/flooding from the off. Thats why I didn't get on with them. Took a virgin pre-built EVOD head out today and same issue. Pro tank is Ekowooled and prefect. I'm buying from here wire n wicks http://www.vape-atomizer-mesh.com/ and am thinking of some 1 mm Eko and a higher thickness of wire prob 2.5-3.5 for coils Any Ideas as my brain goes a bit funny on this subject. I still want a Vamo or Sigelei Zmax Telescopic for.... I don't know nor need one except for the fact it's new shiny toys with buttons. Shiny shiny buttons
  15. Well that should be me fully upgraded tomorrow Got a KANGER Pro tank V2 arriving with 160 ml of RY4 tomorrow. Got 18 KANGER heads I can rebuild and actually know what I'm doing now! You can't fit 4mm of wick in a 3mm by design hole Even with heads and the smaller tanks so cheap it's still cheaper to rebuild and loads more fun! Also have my 1st 'battery mod' The Itaste MVP v2 which I'd highly recommend. http://myepack.co.uk/mods/itaste-mvp-v2-0.html 2600 mah of charge. Not only does it have controllable Voltage and Wattage plus an ohms reader built in, but it can also charge your phone/MP3 player via it's built in USB port. Been taking my EVODs out on a standard EGO-T battery and have been getting some very funny omg he's tokin a crack pipe looks off the uneducated My GP asked me to explain how it worked to her and seamed very impressed. Hey even the blokes doing the sign out front of the GP practice stopped me for a chat. Think I might have made my 1st convert tonight He'd tired the prepackaged didn't like it and thought my EVOD was just a big one. Took the battery off then pulled the tank apart/explained how it worked to show him the bits and gave him a go. He went omg flavour as this big plume of AV4 vapour left him. Even the non smoker he was with was impressed. Although she had to be explained by him (I was impressed by this tbf) that it was PG/VG akin to water vapour not cigarette smoke This is my riffle This is my Gun This ones for fightin This ones for fun!
  16. https://www.gov.uk/government/uploads/system/uploads/attachment_data/file/253420/timetable-for-pip-replacing-dla-slides.pdf Shamelessly stolen from elsewhere credit to Richie FTB October 2015 for me so 1 last chance for DLA after my award runs out.
  17. Have you can you get hold of a copy of that assessment? I've found that everybody now insists that you have to tell them. This seams to preclude them from actually reading anything that has been written about you. Especially when that might tell them that the situation they are inviting you too will/could be very dangerous for you. That second bit is complaint territory as it is making diagnosis/treatment assumptions based on something they have no training in. I'm expecting trouble with a Council Support team next week which is why I am taking the Councils own policy with me in case of issues.
  18. For a guide to how you should be treated see here http://www.lambeth.gov.uk/NR/rdonlyres/B712FA67-DD9E-41CA-848B-48900ECAEC1C/0/ServingDisabledCustomers0405.pdf Every organisation you meet should have something very similar although the ideas contained seam to get lost in the field. A polite reminder that you know your rights and wish a copy of their own DDA policy/procedures sometimes works wonders. Request a copy of it! Question?; 1 who does knows about your issues? 2 Have they been documented? 3 Could you get them documented? Say for example - Copy of certain bits of your patient records. DLA/ESA awards and application/GP/specialist filled in forms A close friends and/or relatives view of. Your view of your needs taken from the above added too and summarised in letter format. I have exactly the same issue with people making assumptions. What I have done is using my patient records put together document packs. Basically a copy of everything relevant from my patient records plus a letter detailing my thoughts. It also has copies of my benefit awards. I have a couple of different ones for different situations. So my medical treatment history and housing pack atm. Anybody going to me well..... I go see here, here and here. Non of this helps if like me you're now thrust into a situation you can not handle, with people with expectations you can not meet, basically due to the issues you face. You should also put in writing that for all referrals a copy of it has to be sent to you. Not only is this good practice (which to often gets lost in the field) but it gives you time to prepare to educate the person you are meeting with and the person referring you of any mistakes. It should really be agreed by you 1st before it's sent but in my experience it rarely happens. Shouldn't happen but always does. Also remember that when you are a bit wobbly you may be perceiving things a little differently to reality. So an innocent comment might take on a life of it's own. You thought about covert audio recording? I've had a GP do this to me. Amazingly the GP practice was affiliated with the advice service that had handled both my 2 ESA and DLA applications plus 3 appeals. I thankfully am not longer at this practice! I really need to follow my own advice but at times am basically too ****ed!
  19. There's no law requiring references! Only the eligibility to legally work in the UK has to be checked. Edit I was a contractor for many a year in large city law firms and banks without ever being referenced or needing them. It's a HR department tick box exercise for permy staff. Other than that what we are talking about is a tactic when things are slow called fishing. See point 1 here of Top 10 tricks used by recruitment agencies! http://www.contractoruk.com/agencies/recruitment_agency_tricks.html
  20. Wonder how much that cost? I did this in 30 seconds from idea to badly drawn/spelt in paint. Myrthr and Birmingham football stadiums both now sponsored and Derby County FC shirts- sure there's a premiership side now by "E-Cig" vendors. They are not a cigarette but a electronic device device that vaporises liquid. Sometimes that liquid contains nicotine. You can actually suspend a whole host of things in the same liquid for vaping. The problem is nicotine is connected with cigarettes so by default E-Cigs are evil. We're all okay with nicotine on patches or inhaled suspended in a whole host of chemicals by big pharma companies. So a cheaper more controllable by the user nicotine delivery system is a bad thing because it's termed an E-Cig As a pure drug nicotine can have some very beneficial effects.
  21. Right before I head to the debt sub forums with a calculator going look less money coming in to you have going out..... 1, I am replacing 1 nicotine delivery system with another. So.... no change in addiction. 2, nicotine and cocaine for that matter were traditional South American medicinal herbs and Queen Victoria was absolutely off her regal tits on both! With some of the comments Prince Philip comes out with you think he'd might have discovered her secret stash in the East Portcullis? 3, I think it was Walter Raleigh who brought this thing to us with the potato in 15-1600s? 4, Would I rather breath in a mixture of the 2 liquid chemicals PG/VG mixed with flavourings & nicotine that were used for dry ice effects in almost all night clubs in the 80s or BATs' version witch was a paper tube filled with tobacco plus over 100/1000 additives 99.8% of them were considered poisons. Saying that not everybodys' body agrees with either PG or VG let alone nicotine. This will only become apparent for most round about a month after the withdrawal from additives to cigarettes clears. They are not perfect but for 99% of people they are amazing. For all of you going so much hassle this is how you clean and dry burn a kanker tank (which pretty much goes for all rebuild-able tanks) My head's just exploded posting that. Rinse under hot water.........aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaarrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrgggggggggggggghhhhhhhhhhhhhhh! Too hard too hard we're breaking up Huston we have a problem! On a brighter note just dropped from 2.5 ohms to 2.2 on my kanger heads and it's ooooh nice! More like smoking rich butter infused with maple bacon to an Iceland platter. Plus the amazon retailer I bough my last 2 ego 900mah batteries from has refunded my £2 postage on the dodgy one and is still sending a replacement.
  22. You haven't been sanctioned. You been disallowed benefit (i.e. entitlement to that benefit has ceased) due to a failure to attend an assessment for ESA. They are 2 very different things and reading your earlier thread I get the impression you didn't quite grasp what you were being told. For what emergency help that might be available from the DWP/Council have a look here http://www.consumeractiongroup.co.uk/forum/showthread.php?388866-Amendments-to-the-Social-Fund-2013 The basics are you either re-apply in a new claim for ESA and have a WCA decision or you have to try an claim another benefit e.g. JSA or you will receive no payment. You were never sanctioned as you were not in receipt of any benefits that could be sanctioned from the point the failure to attend was decided.
  23. kitten1 what tank you using on the EGO? I originally bought the type A which was an absolute lemon! So glad I moved onto the Kangers as I now experience the vapor clouds the rotund Americans on youtube rave about. biggeorge you've got the EGO CE5 rebuildable tanks looked at them but was put off by leakage issues. Are they any good? I was going to buy a couple to try as they were doing ones with a basic 900mah battery with charger for £8 last month. If you're still smoking what mg nicotine are you vaping? I had a bit of an issue due to 16mg but upping the levels to 21 mg sorted me right out. No acid reflux and I sleeps like a baby. Everytime I've gone NRT (except nasal spray) it's been losec and sleeping tablets.
  24. Both nice bits of kit I could really be tempted by. I'm only 3 months into this journey so have only just started getting more involved in the I can make this work with a pair of pliers and a bit of wire side of things. I was looking at the VAMO as basically it's a battery holder with a few buttons to control output. Don't see the point on spunking £20 on an EGO Twist and really fancy an easy to use/replace battery with a bit more power as the standard EGO 900s don't even last a day. Should work out cheaper too as it's far cheaper to replace the batteries than paying for one in a tube with a circuit board.
  25. I've tried everything but the main stream quiting NRT is not suited for my needs. So I tried something else. I got stung because although I knew what I was buying it's very hard to find the information in 1 place to make a really informed decision. I hoped that by starting this thread it could become a place whereby we could help people new to vaping make the best decisions. Based on actual experience rather than false reviews. All I can say is VAMO VAMO VAMO I want one so much
