Father in law just got home this aft from hosp after having hip replacement. He seems to be doing very well. He's a tough old boot. :)

Ooh, also Texanbar and the Jaffacake Annonymous thread - really had me in stitches

Good luck to your father in law, Mungypup.

Lots to smile about today,

Got paid, ordered new sewing machine (a FIRST for me, usually I mend old ones - great trade in deal on old one too!), seem to have really annoyed a payday loan company and its accompanying suspect legal recoveries firm on another thread, cleaned out fridge and a kitchen cupboard of old stuff... and the flu seems to be vanishing fast. Two more cupboards to go but they can wait until tomorrow.

Guess who cannot stand daytime TV!

Better not overdo it any more today though.

I've got the house to myself for the evening. Told No.1 son I'm not picking him up from work later. Just opened a bottle of wine (first drink in two whole, long, tea-total weeks) and a big smile on my face right now.

Why did I ever think stopping drinking was a good idea????

I use to have a rule - no drinking before 7pm best go put the clocks forward then:p
