Well I got to work without many problems but was advised to go home a few hours later (still have to take leave though), so I'm home now and the journey was not that bad at all.

It will be far worse tomorrow when this lot freezes over.

Before you criticise another man you should first walk a mile in his shoes. Then, when you criticise him, you'll be a mile away and he won't have any shoes on.

I'm on Cheshire/Lancs border and we got loads. Spent the morning shovelling about 12" of snow off paths/pavement and the afternoon walking about 2 miles to Tesco & back (uphill) to get basic supplies. I already ache - don't think I'll be able to move tomorrow!

Dog is running around in the garden shovelling snow up with her nose:p

My dog does that too. She gets covered in snow. Considering the first time she saw snow was 3 weeks ago when it started she is loving it. She is a 1 year old German Shepherd and she goes mad playing in the snow.

We are ankle deep in it up in the North East.

3 inches and drifting, 18 inches from a fisherman, 6 inches up north, 12inches even further up, gosh!

I hope we don't get 6 inches down here. Mrs Bassett might suddenly realise I've not been telling her the truth.
