Oh and now that they have closed the account with themselves and sent it back to whoever it was who gave them my name and address, I am going to send them another FINAL invoice tomorrow, with a copy of a letter to their local TS (costs added of course) in which they will be told in no uncertain terms to pay up or I will take it further, :D

Get in, by annoying the heck out of CFS and repeatedly sending them invoices for having to deal with them I got this letter this morning. :D:D:D

Typical DCA half-truths. The letter says that they investigated your case & someone no-longer works for them

That means that they considered it for 5 seconds & gave you the name of someone who left cos he found a better job.

PRE-COURT DIVISION.

I DO NOT ACKNOWLEDGE ANY DEBT TO YOUR COMPANY.

URGENT COMMUNICATION. DO NOT IGNORE.

DEBT - £394.00

Legal Case no: xxxxxxx

Dear Mr Glover,

Thank you for your letter dated 5th August 2008, which has been noted for future reference.

Although I am pleased that you no longer see fit to be dealing with this case due to a lack of signed contract, there has been no response to the previous invoice or reminder letters. It is a legal requirement to send notice of intended Court Summons before issued. This letter fulfils this requirement even if you do not actually read it.

To prevent us from taking legal action you MUST pay within 7 working days.

Please send a cheque made out to xxxxxxxxxx with the legal case no clearly written on the back. Please do not send cash through the post.

I would like to draw to your attention that if Judgement and an order for repayment in full is obtained and remains unpaid enforcement of the debt may be sought by one or more of the following means.

  • Warrant of execution by bailiffs against goods owned.
  • Application of attachment of earnings order with your present or future employer.
  • Application of a charging order on any property that you may own or are purchasing under a mortgage.

I would like to draw to your attention that if legal action is taken, not only may this affect any future credit applications you make, but any legal costs incurred are usually payable by the debtor.

Please see the breakdown of the charges on the reverse of this letter.

I would like to draw to your attention that if Judgement and an order for repayment in full is obtained and remains unpaid enforcement of the debt may be sought by one or more of the following means. insert threats here etc

And the best quote till last....

Using their own daft classic line against them. I love it.

I really do hope you'll post their reply on here.

The Merrydown does that bit for me.

I woke up on the front doorstep with the shed key in my hand the other morning after a Merrydown session at my cousins house.

It was then I reaslised that 3 bottles of Merrydown is almost the same as drinking 10 pints of Carling. And after 6 pints of Carling I do daft things at karaoke nights.
