I agree BA. I stated in the previous post that getting the repayment in place is very important. There remains significant cause for complaint however given the major shortcomings of the council.

 

The failures are serious and should rightly be addressed.

I really cannot se the issue nowm we have gotten past the "sit it ut senescence and it has not worked".

 

The OP is not disputing she owes the debt, so why not let her pay it. If there is anything which needs taking up regrading the activities of those seeking ot collect the debt, there will be ample time to do this after the debt has been settled.

 

If she does it now she will be accused of trying to avoid payment, and much credibility will be lost.

 

Just to be clear pursuing an action against the EA is not going to get her out of paying, nothing will, except making payment.

 

Noting more from me except to reiterate that the OP should be prepared to make a payment of sort when she make the offer, in fact a payment now would not go amiss.

Yes, it has, with many asking for information simply because they couldn't read back. I supplied answers several times for that reason.

 

You a;ready made your comment in post 190 Bailiff Advice, yet you make another in post 200, then yet another to tell me off. How utterly pointless, the poor OP.

 

Given your failure to comment, I have to assume you think there is no fault with the council's actions and no reason to complain, or I'm sure you would have said as much.

 

As I said last night - there's room for differing opinions.

Excellent - as long as you're comfortable with the result that is all that matters at the end of the day. If you want to address the issues with the council, you can now do just that. At least you have peace of mind!
