As a new week begins a few articles and news.

How far on the Well Pad is I am not sure, but when it is said that the drill is only days away from being delivered it is going to be a busy week on many fronts perhaps.

No doubt the suppliers may be trying to deliver different things such as aggregates etc fast.

I have a strange feeling about this week. But we will see.

News as and when it happens.

PNR Rugby Pitch Lie

Francis Egan, the CEO of the fracking company Cuadrilla, when talking about the site at Preston New road said:

" the site will only take as much land as a rugby pitch "

Yet another lie......

Gordon Marsden MP meets with Fracking Protectors.

"It is completely wrong of the Government to ignore local democracy and the wishes of people in Lancashire by allowing Cuadrilla to frack despite the strong opposition to it.

Local people said no and I hope the judicial review strongly consider this and the original decision made by the county council’s planning committee."

He said: "It is absurd, on the back of the revelation that it is costing Lancashire Police £450,000 a month to cover Cuadrilla's operations, to expect local council tax payers, including Blackpool ones, to pick up the tab for Cuadrilla's fracking.

"Local Government Ministers should stop passing the buck - the Government caused this situation by overruling a local democratic decision, and they should meet the costs.

And surely any day now the judicial review decision will be announced.

But the groundwater survey was supposed to take 12 months was it not.

So drilling could not start for months unless the goalposts move again.

Groundwater so important.I will check on that,so much to take in.

It is hard to find that much information from the Frackers Cuadrilla. If you were proud of your position you would be out there on the frontline saying do not worry there will be no harm, no tremors, no earthquakes, no pollution.

You would tell us what you will be dumping down there in the earth, what chemicals, instead of statements like when asked.

What happens to the Fluids left down there.

We do not know, more likely do not care.A great answer from one of the heads of Cuadrilla.

It is like Francis Egan is hiding in the shadows unless running to the government saying help there are a few protectors outside the gates to hell that leads to the well to hell.

A man who is proud of his position would be out there like the protectors are.

Enough for now, my dislike for the Frackers is building the more I research.15 pages behind this now for those that have a little time.

While I look for the latest news. The tribes of Lancashire and Yorkshire and the UK said no to Fracking.

When you go to war you should choose your battlefield well.

The lines are drawn, time will tell. For or against.

I know i get a little roused, but when you look around the world, meet protectors, see what they are going through I know where i stand.

Hard to say too much tonight.Pretty obvious I am anti-fracking.

This morning early I was thinking about the Well Pad guessing about how far on things are.

Thinking, Aggregates, Concrete then straight after Easter Drill arrives.Just guessing.Could be miles out in my thinking.

But this afternoon a convoy of Aggregate lorries arrived. With police escort.

It looks like the Protector Water camp about half a mile away was blocked by the police in vans, sealed off while the convoy sailed by.

I believe a few tried to slow walk near the site but quickly removed.I do not know if anyone was arrested.

Feels like they are fighting a private army.

Been there since January, not much lately, linking, writing.

I suppose they must have most of the materials in there now, who knows.

Even if locking on it makes you wonder if they could just carry on behind the scenes of chaos.

But I will find out where things are up to hopefully tomorrow.

If it starts here you can expect chaos across Great Britain as things spread. Even with the Judicial Result due they plough on.

Makes you wonder a few things.

We Said No the Government say Yes.

Tough one to fight but no one will give in.You get these days, you go down a touch but soon recover.

Irish parliamentary watchdog backs fracking ban: 'Risks outweigh the benefits'

would be irresponsible to allow it.

After a months-long inquiry, cross-party politicians found that drilling for shale gas from rocks, sands and coal seams creates the potential for groundwater contamination, leaks and surface chemical spills.

In its report to be published on Wednesday and seen by the Press Association, the Joint Committee on Communications, Climate Action and Environment said that uncertainty over how much greenhouse gas is produced by the industry is reason enough to ban it.

And it warned that a "vigorous regulatory regime" may not be enough to prevent pollution.

Irish parliament backs ban on investing public money in fossil fuels-Jan.

The Irish Parliament has become the first in the world to back a ban on investing public money in fossil fuels.

The move is the first step towards a groundbreaking law which would end the practice of finance chiefs pumping pension cash and other funds into oil and gas companies.

The initiative secured cross-party support, dealing the minority government a damaging blow.

PR Companies, Lobby Groups, links to the government.Millions spent for influence.

Yesterday Reclaim The Power sent a direct message to one of them.As the videos on posts above tell.

But who are Bell Pottinger some may wonder.

I just spotted Tina Rothery talking about PR machines and I liked Tina's words.so I will put Tina's words on then link to the article.

A good opportunity to shine a light on the bad people... thanks to Reclaim The Power who drew our attention yesterday to the PR firm that creates the fairytales about the joys of fracking. PR (Public Relations) is all about planting stories and information to influence the public so.... If your product or plan is so bad, so dangerous and so ugly that no right-minded human would agree with you... you need to hire experts to cloak it all in fabulous words and paid-for studies, you need to silence the chorus of wiser voices opposing you and you really need a firm like Bell Pottinger to do the dirty work of making it all palatable... like those associated other PR gurus at Hill+Knowlton Strategies who decades ago, buried the links between cancer and smoking and told us all in smiley adverts that: "Your doctor recommends Camel" and went on about how the good doctor puts his feet up to have a nice smoke at the end of the day. Hill + Knowlton work in America flogging fracking these days too... this article from 2013 shows a bit of how PR does its dirty clean-up job for clients:

Dodgy regime? Unruly protesters? Bell Pottinger can help

At first sight, the Curzon Street offices of Bell Pottinger Private are everything a conspiracy theorist could hope for. Next door, guarded by uniformed police officers with machine guns, squats the immense embassy of Saudi Arabia, a country with which the controversial PR firm's even more controversial chairman, Tim Bell, has had decades of opaque, often defence-related dealings. Beyond the embassy is the rest of Mayfair, where businesses are discreet, ethics are flexible, and rich people with reputations to upgrade are in increasingly plentiful supply.Continues on the link.

Filmed over 5 years, “The Bentley Effect” is a new feature length documentary that tells true story of how an Australian community stood up to the gas industry. It will build empathy, engage audiences and prompt action like nothing else can. It has the power to not just change minds but change behaviours, legislation and build hopeful, more powerful and united communities. It is especially relevant here in the Fylde with the fracking industry on our doorstep. There will be a Q&A session following the film with the filmmakers who have travelled to the UK to bring the movie here.

Also a video earlier at Stobarts.

Stobart lorries provide fracking company quadrilla with supplies. A peaceful protest is in place blocking lorries entering and exiting.

They would “put Lancashire first in terms of creating jobs, investment, new skills and community initiatives as a result of shale gas exploration and, if exploration is successful, shale gas production in Lancashire.”

Lancashire anti-fracking campaigners to find out result of High Court action

Campaigners fighting a Government decision to give the go-ahead for a fracking site in Lancashire find out the result of their High Court action today.

The Preston New Road Action Group (PNRAG) and campaigner Gayzer Frackman have urged a judge to find that the decision to approve a planning application for the site in Fylde was not fair or lawful.

A community group and an anti-fracking campaigner have lost their legal challenge against the Communities’ Secretary over the way he granted permission for fracking at a site in Lancashire.

Sir Ian Dove, sitting at the Royal Courts of Justice in London this morning dismissed the case by Preston New Road Action Group and Gayzer Frackman

This clears the way for Cuadrilla to drill, frack and test up to four wells at its Preston New Road site at Little Plumpton near Blackpool.

Well i thought this would be a strange week. But this latest action by the police beats it all.

The protector, according to reports who was on top of the truck for over 15 hours suddenly found three policemen climbing up there to join him.

Now, of course this needs checking, it has only just happened.

But what happens next.

The truck is driven off with protector possibly arrested to be delivered to the Cuadrilla Site

Unbelievable.

is it a case of re 'not in my backyard', but fracked gas from elsewhere, inc the US. is ok to satisfy everyones demand for gas. everyone needs 'energy'.

what are the views.

Hi Ford.I read your post, sorry I did not answer.Just did not get round to it.

Just putting a report on for now as you raise an interesting point for many people.

For those that did not know about this delivery.Worth people leaving their thoughts and comments.Where would we get our gas from. Will it have to be a slow change to renewables, say what you like. I will come back to it myself over the next few days.

If you are for Fracking have your say, I am not going to argue with you. I understand I can not have it all my own way.Got to have fairness.

Debate the points people raise. We are pretty fair in the forums, join in if you are outside looking in.Easy to do and we are a friendly lot.

Everybody must say what they think. Sorry I am rushing, spending hours each day on this and I like many others have to work.

But interesting point Ford, as always.

Controversial gas from Peruvian Amazon arrives in UK

A tanker docking in the UK is transporting a controversial cargo of gas from the Peruvian Amazon.

It is thought to be the first shipment to the UK from the Camisea project in rainforest 60 miles from Machu Picchu.

Supporters of fracking say the UK should frack its own gas, rather than importing from sensitive regions like the Amazon.

But opponents of fracking say the practice creates disturbance and pollution and fuels climate change.

Is AJ Lucas Group Limited’s (ASX:AJL) Balance Sheet A Threat To Its Future?

Investors are always looking for growth in small-cap stocks like AJ Lucas Group Limited (ASX:AJL) with its market cap of USD $88 Million. However, an important fact which most ignore is: how financially healthy is the company? Why is it important? A major downturn in the energy industry has resulted in over 150 companies going bankrupt and has put more than 100 on the verge of a collapse, primarily due to excessive debt.

Today is the last day of work I would think at the Cuadrilla Fracking Site.

As Easter arrives.

Since yesterday's Judicial Review decision that does not seem to have caused to much shock to the protectors.

Think some were expecting this decision.Perhaps they can go further with this i do not know.

What now I have asked myself.Well, it seems as looking around it will be business as usual.

The protectors will carry on protecting in all the ways they know.Whether asking suppliers to think twice about supplying the site.Lock ons etc.

To other ways of protesting.Outside the Fracking Site wherever they can.

Things are still building it seems this is nowhere near over.

You look around online and see many other groups, people mobilising against this threat.

And should not be underestimated.Do not underestimate people power.

They have nothing to gain financially from this, just the environment. Is that all, well without we are Fracked.

In fact it costs them, worry, stress, family time, money and for some has cost more than that.

Mothers, Fathers, all ages down there. From 4 to 84.

For Cuadrilla and their investors they will desperately try to crack on preparing the site.

The investors must be having sleepless nights.6 years or more, hundreds of millions invested and not a whiff of anything as yet.

Across Great Britain, this is going to cost hundreds of millions in Police time and resources possibly if this spreads. It is not just one well.

And disrupt your communities like never before.

The PR companies will carry on spreading the news and trying to crush voices that are against.

The lobby groups will carry on, advising people in the Government in ways that if they told you to go to hell you would look forward to the journey.About how fantastic this idea is.

With possible connections in high places, donations etc and ties to the industry.

The police will carry on policing, orders from on high. Some will make plenty in overtime, welcome I suppose.

Behind their eyes though many must be thinking, what the hell these protectors are correct.

But will carry on dragging, pushing, arresting, what choice do they have.Orders.Or lose your job.

Or whatever happens when disobeying orders.

A pen for the protectors is being built. They will not be caged a complete waste of time.

So two opposing forces, I can only wonder what the coming months will bring.

Collision course seems on the cards, do you see it any other way.

Last bit of news today as I am off again, walkabout along the shoreline for a day or so.

A chap I met called John Tootill he has a rickshaw parked near the site. Owns a nursery close by, called Maple Farm. God knows how much this is costing him.

Just hope people across the country support him at this time.

Hear today it has been hit by a truck near the site, police I believe have removed it. But a picture that sums up many people's feelings.

Whatever your views of Fracking are Battle will resume after Easter of that you can be certain.

I see it no other way.Perhaps you do, well have your say.

Happy Easter.

all looks good.

fact is though, those that use gas for their dinner tonight may well be using imported fracked gas from the US and elsewhere. maybe from the peruvian amazonian.

not in the uk's backyard :)

there is so much alternative energy available with todays technology without fracking.

Hi Ford.

I knew about the shipment from the Amazonian. Also the American one back in September.

But your post brings up many thoughts and links to renewables.

So what is clear is we have to remove ourselves sooner or later from Fossil fuels.

Sooner in my view the better.

As I hit the links to fracking across the world so many times renewables come into the picture.

How much energy some countries are producing already and how much others are promising.

New ideas across the world.Climate change worries things like that.

I know there are some very clued up people here in the forums so I hope they will have their say.

As the Fracking thread is concentrating on what communities and the Fracking companies are trying to do here in Great Britain or moving in that direction I am going to start another thread related to renewables and what is happening.

If no one is interested, well the thread soon sinks away. But rather than posting on a very volatile, fast moving thread at times best I feel to start another one.

Many people must know things and want to discuss renewables but the fracking thread is so angry and fast moving at times perhaps people are put off.

I have read so many interesting links lately about renewables but usually just slide by them.

Maybe take me a day or so but I will put the link to the thread here.

Bye for now.

Why do I post this here?

The UK's government is happy to commit the UK taxpayer to carry the costs while foreign companies take the profit.

I have still seen NO evidence whatsoever that the fracking companies will in any way be made liable for any cleanup or 'making safe' of wells once they are no longer profitable, or any insurance policy ensuring any damage environmental or otherwise is covered.

In fact it seems that the fracking companies plans is just to let the companies fail and abandon the wells once the profits fade, leaving any cleanup costs to the British taxpayers (which of course excludes most of those making money from it).

Hi tobyjugg2

Yes it will be the taxpayer who pays for the clean ups.

A massive bond was wanted by some in case but the Government said it is ok boys, no need,Frack away.

The Green Party is warning that taxpayers will have to pay for pollution caused by fracking if companies go bankrupt, after the government rejected proposals to make fracking companies take out insurance against such risks.

https://northwest.greenparty.org.uk/news.html/2013/12/14/green-party-warns-taxpayers-must-pay-bill-for-fracking-disasters/

Cuadrillas Francis Egan said each Fracking Site is a separate limited company.

Someone will have to tell me why that is.What benefits this gives to a company when things foul up.Or other reasons, tax things like that.

Certainly, must mean more work for accountants

I will no doubt if no one can tell me come across this info soon.

The links to where I heard this are on videos back in this thread.

BBC interview where he said about the limited company for each Fracking Site.

The field where the Fracking Site is, when they scarper will no doubt be never used for grazing again.

The fields close by where cows, sheep graze, well when flaring, drilling etc starts worries there perhaps.

One of the protectors filmed an abandoned Fracking Site a week ago or so, also back a few pages.

Imagine hundreds of those across Great Britain.

I am going to spend a little more time on this over the next few weeks.

Luckily enough working with Driftwood making a few things I can bring my work into the house.

Next to the computer, keep one eye on things happening. In the kitchen, big enough.

Although sometimes when things get heated I have nearly drilled through my leg a couple of times.

Have you ever been drilling and the drill catches your clothing.

You spin around for a while and get a little dizzy.Nearly fall off your chair.

And the looks I get when sawdust flies through the air, well I will leave that.

As it is Easter I have slowed down a touch but a little news about the court case recently and a 2nd Fracking Site nearby called Rosacre Wood in Lancashire a few miles away.

1-What the judge said about Lancashire campaigners’ fracking challenges.

https://drillordrop.com/2017/04/12/what-the-judge-said-about-the-lancashire-campaigners-fracking-challenge/

2- A Lancashire resident has been refused permission to take court action against the Communities’ Secretary, Sajid Javid, over Cuadrilla’s second Lancashire shale gas site at Roseacre Wood.

Jules Burton, who lives 500m from the site, heard this morning that his challenge had been blocked by the Honourable Mr Justice Dove. This is the High Court judge who on Wednesday dismissed two local challenges against Mr Javid over the Preston New Road fracking site.

Well I have started a thread as promised.

I am certainly no expert on this, just like to get to the bottom of things. Learn, gain a little knowledge, that is all.

Here is the link to the thread.

Where are we going with Renewable Energy in Great Britain. Who Knows.

I thought the Fracking thread gets so intense at times best that this has a separate thread.

Otherwise, as the Fracking Companies turn the heat up and the protectors actions intensify in many areas the posts would just get lost.

What will the coming weeks, months bring, I have no idea but will be right on them when they happen.

History in the making if you ask me.

Been involved in a few things before but nothing like this.

Bye for now, back soon I feel.

Tawnyowl.

Just putting this on, may make some happy may make some angry.

I believe this UK Investor Show was the one that Reclaim The Power threw a party recently. Back a few pages for those that would like to see the pictures.

Will update what is happening at the PNR Fracking Site later in the week. And across the UK.

As far as I can see the usual, people being thrown through fences, violinist arrested, convoys arriving of aggregate etc.

All with video or pictures.

And no chance of article 10 or 11 human rights to protest as Cuadrillas Private army seems to be in practice for the future happenings around Great Britain.

More police than a presidential visit, they even run alongside the trucks.

Back later in the week or earlier.

Tawnyowl.
