I received a parking fine letter from I.C.C legal services (attached to this thread) saying failure to pay the £90 fine will result in legal actions.

Could somebody help me here and let me know whether I should be paying attention to this? or should I just ignore the letter?

I hope someone can help or point me in the right direction.

Hello and welcome to CAG. I expect the forum guys will be along later with advice for you.

Do you know what alleged transgression they're referring to please? Was it a council ticket or a private one? That will help us to advise you.

My best, HB

CPP private ticket hence the BPA at the bottom

its NOT A FINE

says that nowhere

however the immediate & WILL is very strange

considering they must allow you to go through popla appeal first.

so what did you 'not' do wrong in the CPP carpark then?

Hi HB,

Thank you for your quick reply. The ticket was not issued by the council and the letter from L.C.C. Legal services is on behalf of the company that issued the ticket at the university who are called Car Parking Partnership.

Appeal it in whatever way you like ( they always reject it) and demand a POPLA code.

Then once you have that, we can give you the appeal to send to POPLA who will very likely uphold the appeal and tell the PPC to bog off, and charge them for doing so.

Any advice i give is my own and is based solely on personal experience. If in any doubt about a situation , please contact a certified legal representative or debt counsellor..

If my advice helps you, click the star icon at the bottom of my post and feel free to say thanks

What letters have you received previously from car parking partnership and on what dates?

Doesn't really matter as this is going nowhere, but would be interesting to know.

I.C.C. use the BPA logo but are not on the approved operator list....

They also have the heading ' Parking Fines ' on their website when referring to parking charge notices.

Hi,

I did recieve a letter from the parking company but I can't find that letter now. A friend told me to ignore the letter, but after recieving the letter from L.C.C I wanted to check on here for peace of mind.

The car park is a university car park, as I now understand it is a permit holder only car park with some visitation spaces but those visitation spaces has to display visitors pass.

Universities are a bit like hospitals inasmuch as they are covered by charters and trusts. If you want to get ICC legal services off your back ask for a copy of the University charter and demand to know where in it the charging for improper parking is covered and if they cannot provide that then a copy of he contract between the parking company and the Uni that adheres to the terms of the charter will suffice and then you will consider their request for payment

  • 1 month later...

Would anyone with some experience with Car Parking Fine's be able to offer some advice for the 2 letters I have received from ICC Legal Services?

Please if you are able to help send me a message with an email address and i will send the pictures of letters across.

ITS NOT A FINE

where are you getting that from?

scan up your letters here

**you can post up images/letters by this method immediately..you don't need 10 posts**

.

set your default scan page size to A4 less than 300DPI [150 will do]

scan the required letters/agreements/sheets - as a picture[jpg] file

don't forget you can use a mobile phone or a digital camera too!!

'

BUT......

ENSURE: remove all pers info inc. barcodes etc

but leave all monetary figures and dates.

.

************************* ************************* *******

{DO NOT USE A BIRO OR PEN OR USE SEE THRU TAPE OR LABELS]

************************* ************************* ***********

.

DO IT IN MSPAINT.EXE or any photo editing program

goto one of the many free online pdf converter websites ...

http://freejpgtopdf.com/

http://www.convert-jpg-to-pdf.net/

..

if you have multiple scans/pics

put them in a word doc FIRST and convert that to PDF

or http://www.freepdfconvert.com/

or

use www.pdfmerge.com

convert existing PC files to PDF [office has an installable print to PDF option]

..

it would be better to upload a multipage pdf if

you have many images too rather than many single pdfs

.

or if you have PDF as an installed printer drive use that

or use word and save as pdf

try and logically name your file so people know what it is.

though DONT USE BANK NAMES or CAG in the title

i'e Default notice DD-mm-yyyy

.

open a new msg box here

hit go advanced below the msg box

hit manage attachments below that box

hit the add files button on the top right

hit select files, navigate to your file on your pc

hit upload files

...

YOU DONT have to put a link to the attachment in the msg box..just upload it ..job done

.
