  1. Hehe I have to admit to getting back into simtower again for a bit..
  2. I have to admit for a while I would have recommended this company Yes it was more expensive for the milk but for the convenience it was worth it However on the 14th of July they delivered two bottles of milk with the use by of the 9th of July 1 email to customer services and two to the ceo have now had no response and to be honest I give in I will be cancelling the service next week and they are definitely off my reputable list
  3. I have to admit to heading towards more outdoor games Pokemon never interested me. however, at the same time it came out I was determined to get out and about more so I took up geocaching, something that I have done on and off for over a year now. its got me to places i never knew existed, got me chased by stags, nearly dunked in a lake and into nettles and thorns more times than should be allowed. Its basically been a real life hidden object puzzle but even the draw of this dwindles, i havent done it in several weeks and have simple contented myself watching the trackable i set off travel around the uk to nice, then to Nice, and now onto finland i can't help but wonder if its simply the lack of fulfilment in life - in the past people aimed at doing stuff people had never managed before them, maybe surpassing their parents - my father retired as the deputy head of recruitment at an NHS trust after years of doctoring - there's no way i can match this i simply repair computers i have tried writing, poetry, game making - nothing fits - i just feel lost
  4. Big fish and the hidden object games are OK but me and the wife finish one every couple of days.. Plus like you say storylines are getting all the same
  5. I know this is a thread that most people (either by age or by not having aspergers) might not relate to but... Does anyone else find that no computer games take their fancy? I have been an avid gamer for over 20 years now. Mostly adventure but also anything open world However lately I look at new games and maybe play 5-10 mins and put it down My wife says it's growing up but I put it down to a lack of imagination in games. Too many are the repeat of what's been done before. Too many times I can predict what's going to happen and because of that it's dull. I can't help but wonder why. It can't be a lack of imagination but I wonder if it's down to a lack of people willing to take risks on new ideas. I love my aspergers because it sometimes means my imagination runs wild. However I also hate it means my grammar and spelling means I miss out on abilities like being able to put them down. For example I wrote short stories for a while but I doubt their good enough to sell due to the writing. I just wonderer if in this life of ease people are unwilling to take the risks needed to succeed. A good example is a game called stardew valley. The guy risked being sued for writing a game so much like harvest moon but succeed so well that nintendo dropped their own game in order to sell OK I went off topic but any suggestions of something else (different to the 600+ games on my computer already) that people can suggest to relax with please
  6. Sorry grandparents loved in cleveleys still come up once a year to visit their grave Lots of memories of the place
  7. As long as cleveleys survived. Blackpool might actually be improved by a few strikes....
  8. Boy racers here do their own car work - as do i some people are always dead set against change
  9. leaf isn't that impressive, its 0-60 varies depending on where you look - most places have it down as about 9-11 seconds - and thats probably true however because of the torque its ussually much faster on the 0-30 and thats the one for ahhem "racing off at the lights" This is the best i have been able to find for the leaf from someone track testing it 0-10......0.7 sec 0-20:.....1.8 0-30:.....3.0 0-40:.....4.6 0-50:.....6.7 0-60:.....9.4 Of course i cant speak for the I3 however i know they had to put a software limiter in the leaf for its speed in reverse - as its just a case of reversing the motor it can technically do the same in reverse as forward - fortunately it is software limited to 25mph in reverse... which i have to own upto i have tested once...
  10. Hehe I will admit its not the fastest on the road however it beats both my old cars (1.6tdi + 2.7tdi) hands down
  11. I drive a Nissan leaf The range is only about 90 miles and to be fair it is our second car however it is my main car for work and short trips It's set to charge only off night rates and it's saving me a fortune Like hightail I love the torque and although I usually drive it in eco mode I have to admit to taking it out of economic mode occasionally and seriously upsetting the boy racer reving his at the lights So far I have amused myself by sneaking up behind people at work before hitting the horn
  12. Dash cams are essential You tube owes me £20 for videos off mine...
  13. Not too worried sainsburys always fills my car for free... Mind you that is at the electric car charge point
  14. Sorry crazy mind had to make it secure free image hosting site
  15. will suggest that to them then
  16. just out of curiosity this one work has issued us all with a locker and declaired that no personal items will be allowed in work - they must be all kept in the locker to go with this they have issued us all with a yale combination padlock i have demonstrated why these padlocks are not secure to my manager, basically by popping his open in under a minute after this i asked if i could fit my own padlock - which was refused i also asked if i could have a key padlock not combination - refused if i can demonstrate the padlock is unsafe but work insists i use it can i insist that they hold some liability for anything left in there?
  17. Probably an mot failure. A Bluetooth obd device to a phone should do the trick try torque
  18. And the denied letter came today Apparently it's not Morgage protection but critical illness and death cover... I guess I just confused it because it does pretty much the same thing
  19. Hmm win xp is still used by many large organisations due to compatibility issues... Spoke to our it team recently and they said we were safe as these sort of viruses need administration rights on a computer... I wrote a basic program in 5 min that didn't need administration rights and still had same effects - they were not impressed... Wasn't perfect but it worked... P.s. it basically rar'd the files with a password that was 3x randomly generated numbers 4 digit longs times each other. It then pinged a server 3 times using the 3 numbers as the ping size Added a text document to the startup folder Then deleted the un rar'd files and itself Just thought I'd add incase anyone got curious - it works on xp can't say it would work on anything newer
  20. well confirmation claim received has come apparently final decision by 22nd june
  21. Hmm I don't give a feck what people wear Underneath it we are all people. Why should the covering matter? Should I treat someone different as their face is covered? I think not Sometimes I wonder of the point of living in a world so filled with hatred as this
  22. Guys As much as I agree with some of the comments This site was designed to help people even if that advice isn't always taken People make mistakes, I know I do. I won't go into it but we do Let's give advice (even if it's how to access cag from prison)
  23. one further question should i fill out the halifax's forms or simply write in? i know it sounds an odd question but at this point the halifax form seems to go into alot of irrelevant information - some i can see the point of like reasons for claiming back, amount you had in savings at the time and which parts you were covered elsewhere for (work sickness policy + DIS benefits + over £8,000 in savings) however its also getting into things like "have you received any unusual income and wants to know details of inheritance's which admittedly have come to about 11,000, but again i get a christmas cheque of £1500 each year from relatives which im not sure if i need to put down in there
  24. Just a quick one before i jump in and start filling in forms thought i had reclaimed all my PPI years ago, however i recently went through my statement and realized that i had two direct debits to the halifax for a bit i thought it was for the home insurance i moved a while ago - then realized it was morgage protection thinking back i can remember them saying that our morgage application would be looked on more favorably if we took it on... now for the first two years of the morgage this was about £50 a month, until we rang them up as it was really high and they removed things like the illness cover and just left the death policy on it at which point it went to £17.07 - which we're still paying apparently 9 years on is this something that its worth complaining about as i had and still have a death in service benefit of 4x salery (about £100,000), we were told that it was more likely the morgage would be accepted if we took it we're also looking at cancelling it as for the same price we have been offered life insurance at a payout of about £150,000 (vs the £25,000 left on the morgage) is that the best route?
  25. No idea where to put this Was walking near my house today and found a bit in had never seen before It was a section of wasteland off a public footpath literally fenced in by other people's garden on three sides and this footpath and a hedge on abother I was trying to find this on land registry to find out the owner as I thought it would make a perfect allotment However having never used this before I ended up putting in my own postcode. This showed all the houses on my street but one house was shown twice On closer looking the house is freehold however the airspace is listed as freehold Any idea why? Oh and also best way to find the owner of this land?
