Excellent memory you have, Conniff

I haven't watched Tennis since Jimmy Connor's days... I think the last one was when it was tipping down with rain !!, about 1982 ?

If I had the choice of watching tennis or sticking red hot needles in my eyes. the eyes have it.

Nowadays the grunts and screams just get my goat. Let's have Real Tennis instead. Much more civilised

The only bit that gets me is the unfair matches between men and women in the singles. How can a girlie player compete against the fat rear ended bloke called Williams, no one will be able to convince me that's a woman.

We once rushed to finish a woman's new house so she could move in, when we did she told us she'd not be moving in for another fortnight cause the tennis is on :)

I take it you are not Scottish then

Never liked him, rude, arrogant, very big headed and the most boring speaker ever, even worse than football managers. What that woman sees in the ugly sod only she will know but I suspect money plays a big part.

I'm the same as Citizenb and Sparks. Used to love Wimbledon but can't be bothered with it now. I'm even off work this week and not bothered to watch any. The characters just aren't in it any more.

I suspect that "Scottish" thing has been brought about after years of those who do well from Scotland being labelled Britain's (or even England's) greats and when they do badly they're suddenly Scottish again !

(and yes I am Scottish)

I've never liked Murray from day one when an interviewer said about him being British and he 'snapped' right back and said "I'm Scottish". Obviously since then he has had advice from some pr people but you can bet your life the very instant the Scotland goes independent he will be the first to denouce England, well maybe those pair of fish named people will get their first.
