As you know I keep score on the DCA's I have binned.

Now I don't count multiple accounts with the same shower, so each of these are unique, separate "companies". Well different letter heads anyway

Bear in mind that this is for a total of 8 accounts between me and the missus and 4 for my brother.

Enjoy:

In no particular order..

* 1 Lowell

* 2 RED Debt

* 3 Hamptons Legal

* 4 Aktiv Kapital

* 5 Thames Credit

* 6 Wescott

* 7 BCW

* 8 Capquest

* 9 Mercers

* 10 RMA

* 11 NCO

* 12 Credit Security

* 13 Scottish Bureaux

* 14 CL Financial

* 15 Lewis Debt Recovery

* 16 Droyds

* 17 Debt Managers

* 18 Machenzie Hall

* 19 EOS

* 20 Reliable

* 21 DLRS

* 22 Scotcall

* 23 Moorcroft

* 24 Fire

* 25 Cabot

* 26 Ruthbridge

* 27 Direct Legal

* 28 JB Debt Recovery

* 29 Hillesden Security

* 30 Credit Resource Solutions

* 31 Phillips

* 32 Meritforce

* 33 Interim Justica

* 34 European Collections and investigations

* 35 Alliance One

* 36 Midas Legal

"Solicitors"

* 1 HL Legal

* 2 HC Cohen

* 3 Golds

* 4 Nelson Guest

* 5 Letham-Locke

* 6 [problem]

These are all over the last THREE years, since discovering the joys of charges reclaiming and CCA.

Pretty sad really.

I laughed when I seen the length of that list until I started to check off the ones I have dealt with also, more than I realised!

I currently have the pleasure of Cabot, Droyds, Lewis, reliable & Cohens.

The OFT should take a random cross section of a/c's and follow their journey from DCA to DCA and see just how often their 'guidelines' are followed and ridiculous and widespread this is.

I am in no way a legal advisor and only speak from my own experiences and the helpful advice of those in the same boat! :p

Nice list there CB and it's good to hear that you have defeated them all;).

I notice that some of the losers you list i have yet to have battle with, however when i get shut of RBS i will be taking on capquest next. Will bear you in mind if i have problems if you don't mind;).

Regards.

there's a couple there I hadn't even heard of!! LOL

Me neeither.

It's amazing how far down the DCA's hierarchy I've got with some of these ;)

A number of these are DCA A acting for DCA B.

Now as I have already told DCA A to naff off you would of thought they'd get the message

Hi Curly, not seen you for a while.

So...........................which one came up with the most laughable bullsh*t?

David

The best one was Phillips acting for BCW who are acting for Thames who are acting for AK on a SB'd debt !!!

Threaten all the usual and then some.

I even called this shower and tore them a new one and finished off by saying I'd see them in court for overt harassment.

Ferguson Vs Britsih Gas makes them run a mile ;)

Had a nice grovelling letter of apology from them as well.

The next DCA that cross my path, I'll answer their DPA question as Curlyben and see how quickly they run orf...

The only one of this list that had me slightly worried was [problem], but seeing that the account is in serious dispute they soon backed off while it was resolved.

Could you name the OC(s) to which they related? As a matter of curiosity?

Just for you Bookie I'll do a couple of the more interesting ones:

Barclaycard > Mercers > RMA > NCO > Letham-Locke > Alliance One > Credit Security

GE Money (store card) > European Collections and investigations > Wescot > Nelson Guest > Thames Credit > Aktiv Kapital > BCW > Philips > BCW > Muckie Hall > Meritforce > BCW

Next > Scotcall > Scottish Beaureaux > CL Financial > Lewis > HC Cohen

Freemans > EOS > Golds > Wescot > Nelson Guest > Capquest > HL Legal > Wescot

NO CCA's anywhere in this lot !!!

........and no CCA:lol::lol::lol:

You must have been laughing your socks off.

Dare I asl why [problem] had you worried, as I'm doing battle with them on several fronts:(

Thank you

They're the only "real" solicitors out of the whole bunch.

The others are simply Solicitors-For-Hire and completely ignorable.

Admittedly Cohen does have a tenancy of filing court claims before the assignment paperwork is dried and likes to ignore pre-action protocols.

You didn't have Debitas listed.... they are my favourites at the moment, they rang up work after somebody and I gave them another DCAs phone number I had handy as the contact.

The list is impressive and I bet each company would blame the next for the 'lack of information' in chasing the debt, 13 x the debt sale fee would possibly mean the original company paid itself back!

I did have Debitas, but that was before I started this whole adventure.

They happily passed the Cap1 balance to Lowell/Red/Hamptons who I successfully sued for my charges ;)
