  1. My previous post has gone. Just wanted advice on if I sent the statute letter for the second debt they didn’t make the court claim against?
  2. Lowell claimform - old shop direct CAT debt - **discontinued** - Financial Legal Issues - Consumer Action Group I had two accounts open with them. This one was Isme. Lowell actually contacted me to chase this one in 2015 but it looks like this is the one they stopped chasing. No idea why they’ve now decided to chase this one as I’ve not heard from them in years! Do I still send a statute barred one for this? I’ve never contacted them, paid anything, acknowledged it etc. It’s no longer on my credit file as a default etc.
  3. Yes, they sent me a date to attend court years back, then the day I was due to attend they sent a letter to me saying they’d dropped the case. only annoying thing is I cannot find the letter!
  4. My post has been merged with this and now I can’t see it?
  5. Hi everyone, I just wanted to post for some advice. Some years ago (I believe 2012) I had a shop direct account that went into arrears due to an unforeseen financial issue. It got handed over to Lowell and they pursued this relentlessly. I remember in 2015 I requested all the info from shop direct - SAR etc and had a mediation call with Lowell and this failed to reach a settlement. They subsequently tried to pursue through the court but dropped the case. They sent me a letter advising this but I can’t find it due to how long ago it was. The debt has dropped from my credit file for a long time now. I’ve never paid Lowell anything nor have I spoken to them directly. out of the blue they are now trying their luck again. Does this all have to start from scratch with me having to go through the same rigmarole even though this was wiped from my credit report and they dropped the previous proceedings?
  6. Hello there; I was looking for a little bit of advice on behalf of my partner who recently failed his ATOS medical (he has mental health problems) and scored 0 points. If i'm honest this didn't suprise me as I attended his medical and he was asked no questions relevant to his illness and it probably lasted no longer than 10-15 minutes. I have telephoned the job centre to request his medical report but as of yet haven't received it. The dwp took 2 1/2 weeks (this was after me calling to find out, they knew within 7 days of his medical) to send his letter stating he had failed his medical and I am still waiting for the report. In the mean time I need to send off his appeal form (I think it's called a GL24) and I am just wondering what the best way to go about it is. I wanted to send it off as soon as possible to make sure his payments don't get messed up and then write a detailed letter once I receive his medical report. Is this a good way to go about it or should I do it all together? His GP has given him a 2 month doctors note & told him to telephone back when that expires if he needs another etc. Another thing I was unsure about was actually filling in the GL24 form. My partner is dyslexic and also he just cannot fill in forms, they make him panic and he always gets confused about what to write/say. I will be filling it in for him & we will both go through it together and decide what is best to put etc....do I write on this form that I am his representitive or do I just let him sign it? I just didn't want the DWP to think I am taking the reins and doing it all for him. Any help would be much appreciated
