  1. Thank you again for the reply. I could only find one thread on here that is directly linked with Spreadex. with the letter of claim, I’m at a bit of a loss to know what the reason is for dispute? By requesting CCA what would the likely outcome be? Will they still push for a CCJ? It’s at this moment I feel it’s just going to be best to try and pay it which isn’t really something I can afford to do.
  2. Thanks DX for the reply. The thread you mentioned I had read through all of that. I’m assuming it’s not just empty threats then. A letter I have received today which has details about the pre protocol action for debt claims. Is this the point I no longer ignore the letters? Reading through the other thread am I right in thinking they issued a CCJ but didn’t actually go any further than that to try recover the funds?
  3. I’ve received another letter from Spreadex today. Should I just ignore or will they go further with this? this is what the letter says…. RE: BALANCE OUTSTANDING £526.00 Your account has been passed to our Debt Recovery Department because of the outstanding balance of £526.00 you owe on it. This letter is important and should not be ignored. We require full payment of the outstanding balance within 7 days of the date of this letter. Payments can be made via our website, www.spreadex.com or by calling us on 01727 895000. If the outstanding balance is not paid we may commence the litigation process to recover the amount due to us together with interest and our legal costs. We may also report your debt to credit reference agencies in accordance with Rule 42(1) of the Customer Agreement with you. Any report is likely to show as a late payment or default on your credit file and may affect your ability to obtain credit in the future. If you are unable to pay in full and want to set up a payment arrangement to clear the balance owed please contact us on 01727 895000. Our lines are open between 8:30am and 5pm, Monday to Friday. We will need to know why you cannot pay and may ask for evidence to support any payment plan. Alternatively you can email your proposal to [email protected] at any time. Finally, we will charge interest on the outstanding balance at the rate of 1% per month pursuant to clause 5(7) of the Customer Agreement. Yours Sincerely, Spreadex
  4. It’s all pretty recent the letter was received on the 7th December 2023. The bet in question was from October 2023. Can’t remember the date as when trying to login they want me to accept some new terms which I feel they are trying to get me to accept something I shouldn’t. With them taking people to court under what circumstances was that? As they have fixed odds and the spread betting. This was a fixed odds bet so technically I had no liability. I could understand if I placed a spread bet that lost and was liable to pay up for that but not fixed odds. No I haven’t moved. If they decide to go to court will I have to pay interest on what’s owed?
  5. Hello, I have a issue as to where I placed a fixed odds bet with Spreadex which paid out and then I later withdrawn into my bank. Since then they have voided the bet and put my account in negative. they are now requesting the money back and mentioning debt collectors if I don’t return the money. What is the likelhood they will do this? Is it just an empty threat? Any advice? thank in advance
