  1. No worries carlastc. A little confused - so complaint was sent to RBS/MINT by him or Claims company ? You said it was with the ombudsman - via whom ? as DX stated no need to use claims companies as they are all cowboys !
  2. Thanks cups will be interested with what they come back with. I chased FOS for an up-date and a couple of days later I received a letter from Underwriters requesting details of claim. They wanted me to give them authorisation to contact third parties and original contract details including all statements proving insurance payment. They also submitted their complaints procedure. I contacted FOS Adjudicator (fifth in total now) dealing with my original complaint against Underwriters and they were unaware that Phoenix Group had been in touch ? I mentioned that my concern was now another delay as my complaint with FOS has been around 2 years now and what happens if underwriters reject my complaint again - Surely not another complaint for FOS for the same reason ? I asked the adjudicator why they had not made a decision to my outstanding complaint if they have now admitted liability as such - Bless her she was not too sure but did state that it maybe due to the complexity of the complaint ?
  3. OK cups many thanks again and suppose I will have to be patient lol. Please keep me posted as I will be interested on how they will calculate refunds. Probably premiums plus 8% statutory and no compound. Cheers Baz
  4. Thanks again cups and please keep me up-dated. If you don't mind me asking, when did you originally complain and who to first ? And when was your complaint submitted to FOS ? Did FOS advise you that Underwriters would be sending you a claim form ? Thanks
  5. on past experience it is usually passed to Dial4ALoan Ltd c/o Welcome on the next desk
  6. oh the consistency of the Financial Ombudsman Norwich Union / Aviva were regulated as I had it confirmed. My original adjudicator rejected mine completely ignoring evidence provided, so it was passed to the ombudsman in which I submitted substantial additional evidence regarding the relationship between Dial4ALoan / Welcome / Aviva. I have recently received an up-date advising that the matter is still being investigated (nearly 2 years with FOS) and that the unfair relationship, non-disclosure of commissions aspect was being looked at. Sorry did you send a SAR to Endeavour / HSBC and Dial4ALoan ? You may want to send one to the underwriters also as you may be surprised what might turn-up Don't give-up as my complaint as been going for approx 3 years in total.
  7. I think dx previously advised that Dial4ALoan (same broker as mine) were not regulated but in my case Welcome were the lender who were GISC and eventually FSA regulated around the time of my loan. When I sent SAR to Welcome, I received a few brokerage and commission sheets in which I was not made aware of. My case is still being looked at by the ombudsman on this basis. Did you send an SAR to endeavour / HSBC ?
  8. Thanks again cups. That's another different address to what I had and will make note. Mind you mine's been with FOS for quite some time
  9. Thanks Cups. Benloyal - My SAR details from next advised that the insurance was administrated by a company called First Assist. I also contacted them who advised the relevant policy numbers. After further correspondences and persistants, I received copies of the relevant policy. Mine incepted in 1991 and underwriters were originally Phoenix / Groupama / Ageas.
  10. I would contact Next for confirmation of insurance details and underwriter. Then I would be sending them a complaint and await their response. Good Luck
  11. OK cheers cups How old was your account if you don't mind me asking ?
  12. Further to my earlier posts, has anyone else taken out a BH secured loan (unregulated) around 2001 ? If so did you receive one loan agreement and one legal charge documentation or one combined agreement ? Thank-you
  13. So did you actually previously receive any Welcome annual statements from 2008 to 2015 ? and did you receive any statements from GE / First National ? I have a feeling this maybe two separate issues, so therefore I would be sending SAR to GE.
  14. what is trying to be ascertained paul is the connection between GE / Safestyle and Welcome. Did you say you received SAR details from Welcome ? Did it include an agreement from them ? Looking at agreement provided you need to be sending SAR to GE. Agreement states 120 months from July 2004 at £38.12 PM. Welcome Finance Statement £48.01 PM ? Can you post up all Welcome statements received with personal details removed thanks.
  15. Thanks cups. Was there any mention on how they are going to calculate redress ?
  16. Lol dx you beat me to it - I was just about to ask the same thing. Safestyle would be the salesman and GE / First National the Lender ? Statement from Welcome ?
  17. Hi Paul, Have you been receiving any annual statements from Welcome since 2008 ?
  18. post up an edited (personal details etc omitted) copy of your agreement as dx suggested. Sorry was it a secured loan ? was the agreement regulated ? Then I am sure there are enough people on this forum who can assist with this lot.
  19. that's why I replied as I can comment from a bad experience with a certain bank, in which I nearly lost everything.
  20. or the bank lent the money to someone who was in no position to pay it back.
  21. I received another letter from Skye Loans today and again totally ignoring my previous Account in dispute letters requesting that I urgently contact them by telephone (they do not have my new number) to discuss. There was a previous arrears amount with BH in which I disputed as they had not provided any evidence as what it was in relation to. I had previously requested that all correspondence should be in writing. They have also again added default fees to the account and said that interest will also be added. Any idea as to what I should do next ? Thank-you
  22. Thanks jackpot7 but believe that's only for loans from 2005. Mine was taken out in Nov 2003 and was advised to liaise with Lender direct.
  23. Thanks Andy, I have just received some interesting info from BH and also located some old loan agreements that were previously regulated. Did not receive any new agreement as such apart from a charge on our property in which worries me. I will have a read up in a minute
