  1. Simple - changing your address does not change anything to do with this debt. So if you decided not to pay for the last 18 months then carry on with the decision. AS Stig states - you need to chat calmly with OH and introduce him to the wonders of CAG. I am sure he will see the light and stop being concerned about this.
  2. DX has it nailed - follow his advice and you will be in control of the debt and believe me this is empowering. Good luck and with the help of this site you will lead a better life.
  3. Just sit tight - if continue just tell them the account is in dispute until CCA request dealt with
  4. Well done - this has just reminded me of a Crap One credit card closed 4 years ago - might be worth a SAR
  5. Good luck Hillards, following closely as think I may have to go down this route with both Welcome and the Funding Corporation and feel completely out of my depth. Intend
  6. Great win - I too tried the Aviva route but got a letter of rejection from them. Been on back burner while I sort debt and a Lloyds PPI claim. Having read this thread might pick it up again.
  7. Eventually got the energy to proceed with the claim - FOS Consumer Questionnaire completed and letter sent to Lloyds PPI team for his first loan - claim about 3K Now for the hard ones - Funding Corporation and Welcome/broker/underwriter all of whom denying liability. Still debts now under control. Intend
  8. I would send a prove it letter to the new owners and state you will put pyments on hold until you are satisfied with the alleged ownership of the "debt". Wait to see what happens but if OC cannot satisfy a CCA request then no chnce the new owners will be alble to do so.
  9. Cracking maths BB - was hurting my head thinking about it Pwal1 - I think you need to get to grips with this debt. The good folks on hear will help and guide you - as BB states "cash cow"
  10. If PPI was admitted - have your evidence/proof that it has been taken off the outstanding debt. Do you get regular statements to see what is happening to the outstanding balance. £100 per month for 8 years is an awful lot of money. Intend
  11. Agree that it would be wise not to let them know what you think the claim should be - wait till they come back - information is power but only when used effectively.
  12. Speak to them by all means but be very considered in your responses - anything that looks like they are phishing then just decline to respond. Some are very open and honest but personally would not trust them...
  13. Have you started to reclaim the LPI? - should be a significant sum.
  14. Do not think so as you have acknowledged the existance of the debt. Does not matter who you pay. Others will be along to confirm or contradict. Like you I do not send I&E put tell them what I will pay - just reduced one from £10 to £5 per month as no increase in income for years - they accepted as no choice. suggest you try this - better in your pocket. Intend
  15. Like to get things under control so wrote to them clearly stating the offer of £5 - daughter just rung - they have accepted the £5 offer - saves them £5 a month, not much to Dave and his mates but better in her pocket. Intend
  16. Loan was taken out in August 2004 - does this mean it was not regulated by FOS?
  17. Re Post 325 - update on Credit Card. Had a reply - stating my proposal to pay £10 per month was acceptable - muppets - am currently paying this and requested a reduction to £5. Not sure what to do next
  18. Got all info from TFC - ppi of £700 on top of a loan for £2000 - work that out at 25% of monthly payment down to PPI. About to input into spreadsheet. Hope my % calculation correct! Also has about a dozen unpaid DD fees of £25 - is it worth reclaiming these? - sure that the amount acceptable was reduced to £12, plus letter fees of £85, ranging from £15 to £30 per letter. Have been off-line for a while - had surgery and off work for 6 months then really busy with work - but good to be back - off to look at the Llyods ppi now. All advice gratefully received. Intend
  19. Best laid plans!! - Just got the SAR enough to fill a truck. Have already put into 2 separate spreadsheets - one for the loan paid off in full and one for the loan in dispute and sold by Llyods. Will take my time to assimilate the information - he had lots of charges as a result of offsettting and returned internal DDs - might try a reclaim under BCOBS if I have the energy. Will box clever and send in claim for first loan - son-in-law still got an o/s CC debt of just less than £2k we are paying off at £10 a month so would expect them to offset the payments against this but am I correct in thinking the interest should be paid and not used to offset?? Will also state that thet should not assume he would not have purhased PPI elsewhere and therefore should not reduce the level of the claim. Think this is just another [problem].
  20. Good luck - would agree with the 30 day timeframe.
