Hi there, joined forum today after previously reading lots of posts on this company.

I to have a unsecured loan with them, with a £75 acceptance fee and wsas told that I have to take out PPI to be given loan.

I duly took this out, but later found that this was illegal and subsequently managed to reclaim it and have it seemingly removed from loan.

However I have not had a statement confirming this and I am still paying the same amount as per original agreement.

I went through period where finaces got sticky so I missed 3 payments with them, the local branch manager, contactyed me over the phone and I reluctantly agreed to repay them an additional £20 per month to make up arrears.

So now they take out a payment of more than agreement without me signing any additional paperwork, is this legal?

I am in process of drafting few letters to them for CCA etc, but would like to know where I stand with above as it seems they will be getting more for a loan that now has less on it if that makes sense.

I will also start my own thread and post link to it here for all to view and follow.

thanks

Re: Harassment by telephone

ACCOUNT NUMBER: XXXXXXX

Dear Sirs

I am writing in relation to the quantity and frequency of telephone calls that I have received from your company, which I deem to be personally harassing.

I have verbally requested that these stop, but I am still receiving calls. (Delete if necessary)

I now require all further correspondence from your company to be made in writing only.

I am of the view that your continued harassment of me by telephone puts you in breach of Section 40 of the Administration of Justice Act 1970, and the Protection from Harassment Act 1997.

If you continue to harass me by telephone, you will also be in breach of the Communications Act (2003) s.127 and I will report you to OFCOM, Trading Standards and The Office of Fair Trading, meaning that you will be liable to a substantial fine.

Be advised that any further telephone calls from your company will be recorded. (**Even if you don‘t yet have recording equipment!!**)

Yours faithfully,

This is where it states cattles are labouring under a burden of debt last reported to be £2.4billion! Shocking!

It probably results from all the charges they have incurred from letters and phone calls from there creditors lol.
