Help with debts I can no longer afford

Recommended Posts

I have the following debts which due to circumstances I can not longer afford to pay the monthly payments.

Fluid Credit Card £5355.91

Vanquis Credit Card£3059.70

Likely Loans £4124.76

I have been reading through the debt section regarding what options are available and have read that the advice offered is either

Offer the company a pro rata payment or do nothing and let the accounts default.

Can someone advise on the best route to take?

All accounts are still with the original creditors.

Thanks

Let the accounts default first before considering pro-rata payments. Just stop paying them for a few months and use it as time to get your finances in order.

1 Default is as bad as 50 defaults.

Once they're defaulted come back here.

We could do with some help from you.

When and how were these accounts taken out?

Who ever heard of someone getting a job at the Jobcentre? The unemployed are sent there as penance for their sins, not to help them find work!

Do nothing and let them default, concentrate on your priority payments, Rent/ mortgage, Utilities, Council tax etc

stop paying all of them.

Await Default notice issuance then a registered defaulted date again the debt on your credit file for each one

a mere 'Default' is not what you are after.

please don't hit Quote...just type we know what we said earlier..

DCA's view debtors as suckers, marks and mugs

NO DCA has ANY legal powers whatsoever on ANY debt no matter what it's Type

and they

are NOT and can NEVER  be BAILIFFS. even if a debt has been to court..

If everyone stopped blindly paying DCA's Tomorrow, their industry would collapse overnight...
