I hear they will be talking about a deal that allows free movement for jobs.

Trump is happy that he will have somewhere to send all the US unemployed for benefits and healthcare.

 

Farage is happy that he wont need to pass the US visa requirements.

 

May is just happy that someone has agreed to talk to her other than India (who is also looking for a free movement of citizens and tariff free exporting of Indian goods and services to the UK)

Much as I have nothing but contempt for the man , is the petition the right thing? He is the head of state of a great power and we will need the US particularly since the clever people here voted to leave the EU.

 

Maybe a petition registering our disgust of his racist ,sexist and xenophobic attitudes would be more appropriate

 

You realise as well that they are considering wanting access to your social media accounts before allowing entry so posts on your FB page may get you into trouble if you want to even transit the US

Lets clarify the issue surrounding Trumps ban, aside from the fact that it is morally abhorrent:

Despite it being titled "Protecting the Nation From Foreign Terrorist Entry Into the United States",

Of the 19 hijackers on 9/11 (the only terrorist act mentioned in the text):

15 were from Saudi Arabia

2 were from the UAE

1 from Egypt

1 from Lebabon

 

0 from Somalia

0 from Syria

0 from Iran

or anywhere else

 

So given that the reasons given for the failure allowing the 9/11 mainly saudi nationals entry was "State Department policy prevented consular officers from properly scrutinizing the visa applications of several of the 19 foreign nationals who went on to murder nearly 3,000 Americans."

and the ban continues to allow Saudi nationals entry,

Is there a petition for welcoming him to the UK? Pity some people are so gullible to believe everything the press state as gospel. I think he is correct to place a temporary ban on immigration from some countries as we are in the process of doing the same.

Of course US won't do it, because they have a military base in Saudi Arabia and a huge financial interest.

 

US has more deaths by gun crime than anywhere on the planet. Why not ban Muslims from owning guns ? That would have many red necks feeling rather confused, as to whether they are in favour of constitutional rights or not.

I think South Africa beats the USA by a long margin when it comes to gun crime as there is an average of at least 60 murders a day unless of course one wants to believe the press that it is all nice and rosy there. Funny that no one is mentioning that it was the Obama administration that imposed these sanctions initially?

I think Trump has put the ban in place to give his administration time to put in place more stringent measures when it comes to immigration and I agree with his as he knows he cannot keep it in place for a long time. Pity our government does not do something similar to help impose more stringent checks. As a legally processed immigrant from Africa I had to jump through many hoops to get into the UK and also to get my citizenship eventually.

Perhaps Trump is deliberately being agressive at the start of his Presidency, so that anything that follows which is less controversial is easier to implement.
