I have posted up a link to the petition on another forum, of which I am a member.

Unfortunately, as far as I am aware, only one member of that forum has signed the petition.

If anyone is a member of:

Money Saving Expert (MSE);

or; Penalty Charges.

Perhaps, they could also post up links to the petition on those consumer forums.

To be quite frank, I cannot understand the apathy re: signing the petiton?

Perhaps, some peoples caution is in relation to revealing their names?

Anyhow, when people come onto forums moaning and whining about, how unfair the Credit Reference Agencies have been/are, in processing inaccurate data on their CRA credit files;

they should ask themselves;

why did I not sign the Number 10 Downing Street Petition about CRA's?

why didn't I make my voice heard?

For the avoidance of doubt, please read the following details about this Petition:

"More details from petition creator:

We ask the Govt to regulate credit reference agencies (CRA's) in the UK.

CRAs have cartel power, and unfairly prevent a large tranche of potential borrowers from obtaining credit, removing their spending power from the economy.

While the credit crunch was in part caused by careless sub-prime lending in the USA,The UK CRAs often hold innacurate and unfair information on borrowers.

Inaccurate because lenders register info unregulated , often innacurately, someimes maliciously and always without arbitration/third party assessment ..Unfair because the emphasis is only on past credit history and the Public have to jump through hoops to explain past problems.

This takes millions of UK consumers out of the loop. Nothing is recorded about current changes future prospects etc ..Banks choose how they use the information concerned, but information needs to be more accurate and fair.

The EU have plans to regulate the CRA's via IOSCO but UK regulation is required to give teeth to the EU initiative."

At the end of the day, it is up to the British electorate to force the Governement to act on this matter.

The choice is, 'Yours'!

Bumped it for you over on seagulls. Bit late, its a shame its gotten so close. yet so far.

Perhaps, if some had signed the 'Petition' instead of querying it, then the required number would have been acheived!

Hopefully, the members on seagulls will push up the numbers?

Please sign this petition caggers.
