Been having some fun with Capital One tonight.

Judge Judy calls Clifford with a huge credit card problem. Clifford has huge problems of his own.

A Sesame Street character calls Capital One to apply for a credit card but won't give any personal details unless they answer a very important question first.

Borat, has a problem with his credit card, but gets distracted by the cute sounding girl in the call centre.

Watch this space for the Fuzzybobble and Locutus Youtube videos of these calls. Coming in a few days time. :D

These are video links to show how I deal with Debt Collectors.

Ah. I hate to be the bearer of bad news but I think Saddam Hussein was wearing it when he was hanged.

Before you criticise another man you should first walk a mile in his shoes. Then, when you criticise him, you'll be a mile away and he won't have any shoes on.

Don't get me confused with somebody knowledgeable by all those green blobs. I got most of them by making people laugh.

No teatowels yet.

This thread will last a lot longer yet.

It amazes me how many people sit and read the whole thing. :D Must take hours and hours and a ruined keyboard too.

Been reading through a bit more of this. My Hubby entered into an IVA a while back.....now I realise that a lot of the debts could have been challenged as they were with DCA's....Frustrating to say the least

Hi close neighbour. I have today sent SAR letters to my friends' creditors - they are in an IVA and I am doing everything I can to help them get out of it. The reason I decided to do this was that one of them increased the debt by 3k a year after the creditors meeting. I have told the IP not to pay any dividends until we have clarified what exactly is enforceable and they have agreed to this:p. All is not lost. If you look under my username you will see I have a thread about getting out of an IVA going too.

Did you hear about the DCA threat monkey who was having trouble doing his number 2s. He went into hospital for an ar$ehole transplant

The ar$ehole rejected him

Ah yes, oldies but goldies! Like: What's the difference between a DCA threat monkey and a bucket of sh*t? The bucket.

Well Fred it is the time for those Christmas Cracker jokes

It is indeed!

I've probably posted this one somewhere before but.....

What does a DCA and a duck have in common?

They can both shove their bills up their a**e!!!

Hi Clemma

Sure someone will come along and correct me if I’m wrong but it’s my understanding that debts within an IVA can still be challenged at anytime.

Is this true?? OMG - they have all my Hubby's DCA letters though. He hasn't had any since entering IVA. Can I be cheeky and ask for copies from IVA people?

You should have a list of all the creditors, their addresses and the account numbers on the IVA agreement.

I personally cannot wait for the next DCA to try it on :D Learn't so much....think I will use the "I'll just get my card"....leave 'em on hold for a bit....then tell them I have it. Yeah, it's got a nice picture of Santa on the front of it :) May use this one next time the DCA tell me I owe Littlewoods money (think it's Lowells :D). I paid this debt off in 2003 - I have the cheque number/proof they cashed cheque etc.. Can't wait!

This is one thread nobody minds people hi-jacking. Many have learnt a lot on this thread, as well as having a really good laugh.

You get calling Lowells and pay with a Christmas card. Worked for me, as since that call I put on Youtube (and also sent them a link) I heard nothing since. :D

My only worry about this thread and it's many fans, is the fact that nobody else posts their calls.

If anyone reading this has recorded calls or can record them in the future, but doesn't know how to put the recordings on here, let me know. I can edit out any personal details for you, and also get Locutus to do a great video to go with it, if you tell us what you want/include pics/animated gifs/video, etc, as well as the audio recording.

Send me a PM if you have any material for a future DCA prank call video.

Got a letter from Aktiv Kapital today telling me I owe THEM £xxx. Phoned them and it's from a debt that is now 11 years old:

(after the usual preamble)

AK - Are you making a payment today?

me - No.

AK - Are you prepared to set up a payment plan?

me - No.

AK - This needs to be paid!

me - It's statute barred!

AK - You had a letter about this in August 2007, therefore it is not statute barred.

me - I didn't.

AK - You did.

me - I didn't.

AK - You need to make a payment, this matter will not go away.

me - It will, it's statute barred. You will receive a letter from me shortly.

AK - Do what you like, but we will persue this anyway.

me - Do you have a CCA for this alleged debt?

AK - You will have to request that in writing (puts phone down).

Nice guy :D

He also asked said I must know about this debt as I recognised where it was from. I told him I was not acknowledging debt. He also told me all calls were recorded, to which I said - "good, then you'll have me recorded saying I don't acknowledge debt". Seriously, he expected me to pay for an 11 year old debt.....are all DCA's this stupid
