I'm only familiar with bank & credit charges. There are some spreadies here, including a loan account one.

Why not check what spreadies other members are using in the PPI section ??

Just an announcement from Batty Bill here. Vampiress has announced that her Google Chambers will be closed for a while, as they are undergoing a "Re-Vamp"

Mindzai's spreadsheet will not be affected by this, and should still be available.

For those needing compound interest spreadies, this is available for download, along with Excel versions of Vamp's Recommended #5 and #16 spreadies here:

A range of Simple Interest spreadsheets are available here (NB. these are not recommended for contractual interest claims):

For those needing compound interest spreadies, Excel versions of Vamp's Recommended #5 and #16 spreadies, and others, are available here:

And don't forget there are some Excel and Works spreadies in the CAG library that I did before I started the Google ones.

Thanks, Vamp - I didn't mention those, as they are simple interest and have confused users. I'll put a link in the notice, and make this clear.

Hello again, one more question :

What is the difference between :

Consolidated Loan

Compounded

Consolidated Loan Dual ?

(i am currenty claiming it as mis-sold )

I have looked at PPI forum , but nobody seems to talk about spreadsheets to culculate the PPI, Healthcare and Intrest, i guess they just simply add the figures from agreement up.

Thank you.

Regards,

Maria

I'm sorry but I can't help you ... I have had no dealings with PPI at all s am totally unaware how it works .. sorry!

Bill has a few spreadies in his signature ... have you tried using one of those ... may be worth copy & pasting your info into one to see if you get a different figure.

Has anyone in the PPI section said which spready they've used to calculate?

Sorry I can't help further

I think the difference in your calculations may have something to do with the way the interest is applied ... I looked at your thread & you are simply adding 3% ( or whatever rate) to the amount and this isn't necessarily the way the lender will calculate or apply it ... this could be the difference.

Personaly (& this is only my honest opinion) I would use a standard spreadsheet to calculate (if you are simply claiming charges & interest you've paid on them) and get a figure that seems as near to correct as you can.

The main thing to understand is that the actual argument here is stronger than the calculations ... If you as a lay person can show that you have done your best to calculate the amounts then if it's wrong or highly innaccurate then it's up to the bank to amend/prove otherwise. Afterall they are more qualified to do so.

Dunno if this helps any more but it may get you a little further .... As I say this is just my opinion & as I've said before, I have no dealings or understanding of PPI

Good Luck :)

I am just waiting for vampiress's spreadsheets to come back on line. Can't cope with the ones available right now. I believe I am right in saying that the 'old' compound contracted sheets only went up to the end of last year and she is currently updating them for this year. I take comfort in the knowledge that the amount of interest is rising daily as I am unable to work it out. Sally

Itsme, copy & paste just the first few lines, and say which sheet you are using, and what interest rate. It should come out like this, but that should be enough for someone to check for you.
