I have 2 things to say, one very serious and the other not so, I leave you to work out which is which.

Firstly, off topic, you sent an S.A.R - (Subject Access Request) over 40 days ago, did they not respond yet or did you forget to update your signature?

Secondly, [deleted]

All the best for your appointment.

I have felt a pair of Mr Singhs boobs.

(Sorry, that came out really wrong, didn't it?!!!!! U know what I mean!:lol: )

I can say that they are definately the best I've seen and would recommend him 100% as have other friends etc.

(Again, sounds so wrong!!! )

Think all the previous posts have summed all up in a nutshell...

ask them first - maybe they do not realise how much this has/is affecting your life?

If still no joy, get 2nd opinion and legal advice if neccessary.

Good to see that you are sounding more positive!

Keep it up! :D

Sarah :)

Ok Mr I can abuse people because I think I'm clever,

FIRSTLY: If you read my halifax thread you would be aware of the stage I am at with them as I have kept it up to date.

SECONDLY: I don't need people like you making nasty comments. Grow up and get a life. no one in this world is perfect and that INCLUDES you. What goes around comes around so be careful what you say about others. You may want to hurt my feelings and someday someone bigger and better than you will come along and hurt yours. Lets hope you are big enough to take it.

I'm new, what the hell do I know? My comments and opinions are my own. Please seek advice of a qualified professional if in doubt.

Right, to the people who are interested and care about my predicament:

Good news! another surgeon from their company is willing to rectify this for me. I feel much better now even if some lonely old soul felt the need to come on her and belittle me.

thanks to the ones that really matter and wrote sensible posts on my thread :)

Apologies as I didn't mean to cause offence, I'm the sort of person who tries to make light of crap situations. You are right no-one is perfect INCLUDING ME at 29 with little hair left and about 4 stone to lose.

I have been reading this thread with great interest.

You say "another surgeon from their company is willing to rectify this for me"

Is this the company who screwed up or the one that your 2nd opinion is from?

Surely if its the former then that is admitting they are at fault?

I don't have any legal advice to give, but I just wanted to say that you shouldn't be so self conscious. Having assymetrical breast size is very common in women (myself included, although I'm only 19 and hoping they'll even out ;-) ), and it doesn't sound like your husband has any problems with it. It's probably not even as noticeable as you think :)

It sounds like you're well on your way to getting it fixed for free, but in the mean time try wearing a pad in the smaller side, see if it helps your confidence a little (personally I've never bothered with this, but I've heard it helps).

Best of luck!!

Angelpie,

I read where the surgeon who did the original work is GMC registered, that is fine, all surgeons who practise in the UK have to be on this register, but is he registered with BAPS? That is official body and this is the group you need to contact.

I hope the new surgeon who is going to do the reconstruction is BAPS registered.

Not every augmentation goes to plan and when you originally signed the forms to consent to the work being done, on the form should be the complaint procedure and the recourse you have if you are not happy. if you didn't get this paperwork, they are remiss in their obligations to you. This should have been given to you when you signed on the dotted to have the surgery done. Did you see the surgeon at this consutation? Did he discuss your expections and did he explain the probable outcome and the possibilty of things might not be exactly to your expectations? Were you given a two week cooling off period? This is so important.

I have seen breast augmentations where one breast is larger than the other, this happens despite the best will in the world owing to the vagaries of the human body, nothing will even them out. Natures way.

I had my breasts reduced from 44DD and lifted, back in the days this type of surgery was in it's infancy. My breasts have drooped with the passing of age, but there is no way I would consider augmentation to get them perky again.

I see Jordan now wants to reduce her breast size, but the surgery to correct this will cause further scaring

Are they doing the reconstruction FREE of charge or on a percentage basis?

I know many cosmetic surgeons and they all say they have one patient where something does go wrong and they try their best to correct the situation. If you attended all the post op follow ups, and have had your annual review, this should have been addressed at these consultations. Yes you can obtain a copy of your pre and post op pictures, they will be in your file.

There are things I could say about the 'cowboys', but it could be construed as libellous on a forum like this.

Oh my credentials? Post Grad Medical Education and freelance work for a private surgical hospital, specialising in cosmetic surgery.

Please keep us posted on your progress.

It is normal to have some difference in size. In fact having identical breasts is, as far as I know, unheard of. Of course I haven't seen yours and if there is a whole cup size different then that does sound like it might be a bit noticable.

However it may not be. It may be that you're the only person who has noticed. Of course if you can't live with them as they are then obviously that is still a problem.

I know this is an old post but I was just googling and wanted to correct something...only surgeons trained in Britain can go on the BAAPS register. If your surgeon trained elsewhere in the world you will need to check they are registered on the equivalent register in their own country. :)
