Hi Guys,

I hope I'm posting in the right area!

I applied online for a payday loan and was told by this company I had been accepted.

The loan was for £300 and they showed my a breakdown of repayments of around £35 p/month with a fee of £67.

They asked for my card details, which I gave and now they've taken the £67 fee but only provided details of other lenders!

I really thought they were providing the loan themselves and now I realise I've been stupid.....

Is there anyway I can get this back?

Cheers

What a sh!t website.... i notice they dont have a consumer credit license number displayed anywhere on their website.

Bit like Loanfinder you should be entitled to a refund if you not accepted for a loan. They may keep £5 for an admin cost.

More people know more than i do, i fell for of these Scams,,, keep hounding them. They have no right.

Im sure these boys need reported to OFT

Hi,

I would not waste any time phoning them, write to them Registered post saying your taking the loan application no further and that you want a full refund of fees less their legal £5 admin charge. Keep all copies of letters/postal registration numbers. Tell them they have thirty days to refund or you'll take legal action.

Be clear about the final date they have to refund you and by what method (cheque ect) and if they dont pay by this date, they will also be responsible for any court/admin costs.

Regards.

Scott.

Any advice I give is honest and in good faith.:)

Eze loans are just are a bunch of artful, conniving maggots. They do not, I believe, offer anyone any realistic chance of getting a loan, they're just there to take advantage of hard up people who can't get loans from reputable banks/lenders. They seem to pose as actual lenders and get you to give bank/card details as if you've been accepted then proceed to debit, without your permission, fees for matching you with possible lenders, nothing in their site indicates this. What they do may (possibly) be just this side of the law but they are a totally disreputable firm who should not be touched with a barge pole. I had £105 taken from my account by ezeloans and another loan company (they pass on your details to other similar firms, who may just be ezeloans under another name).

If you've fallen victim to these crooks CANCEL YOUR PAYMENT CARD IMMEDIATELY because the first unauthorised debit from your account is unlikely to be the last.

I am staggered, this company must have made a huge amount of money out of peoples desire to obtain a loan, only to find that they have been charged a whopping amount for no guarantee whatsoever.

If it was me I would write to them by recorded delivery requesting a refund. If they fail to respond to your satisfaction with a full refund minus £5 for 'admin' within the maximum 8 weeks allowed I would open a case with the Financial Ombudsman, bearing in mind the FOS will charge them £450 to investigate your complaint, and are likely to find in your favour.....

Their terms and conditions state... - "A one off joining fee of no more than £74.85 is payable in most cases after you have had an average of 14 days membership and access to the site. If you have not cancelled/terminated your membership with us, you will be automatically charged by a direct charge to the debit/credit card authorised by the member with an ongoing membership fee of £8.89 which is payable monthly until such time as you decide to cancel your membership."

I'd argue that if EVERYBODY read these terms before taking any further steps they would NOT apply....What a complete rip off...

Hi,

Im really sorry to say this but I dont think you will get it back. I had the same problem.

5 days ago I applied for a loan with them, then as soon as I realised they were a broker and would charge me a fee, I cancelled my application. The next day they took £74.75 out of my bank account.

I checked their terms and conditions, which state that if you cancel within 14 days you will receive a refund.

I immediately emailed them (there is no telephone number to be found), cancelling my application again, and asking for a refund. After a few emails back and forth, they eventually gave me an address to send a letter to, and said I would need to include my reference number. I asked for this, but received no reply. I managed to get hold of the reference number and sent the letter, then emailed yesterday asking if they had received it, with no reply.

I emailed again today to ask if they had received the letter, and had another few emails back and forth, along the same lines as the first ‘you applied for a loan so we took the membership fee’, ‘we have people waiting to give you a loan, log into our website to apply’, etc. Eventually, the last email they sent me stated again that I needed to send a letter to receive a refund!

I am getting no sense out of them whatsoever, and it doesn’t look like I’m going to get my money back. Apparently the address that they give is a Regus managed office, and they confirm that the company aren’t there anymore, yet they are still giving the address out for complaints. They also have no company number. They basically rely on the knowledge that we are so worried about the fact we have no money, that we apply anywhere for a loan without checking, which I know is stupid, but desperate times and all that.

I decided to stop being defeatist about it and TAKE THEM DOWN!!! I've reported them to the FSA and also BBC Watchdog, think OFT is next on my list and Fraud Police and then whoever I can think of that might listen! It’s important that people know to stay away from them!

There is a REBECCA working for them she is a complete beeeeeatch, she will send the same replys that are in the terms and conditions, but wont send you the Tsand Cs about refunds.

I am new to this site, but have just had dealings with Eze Loans, I completed the application form online on Thursday night (7th April) and they took the payment from my bank on Friday (8th April). I have been in email contact with them on and off all day today and finally after quoting their "14 day cooling off period" they sent me a reference number and details of how to get my money back (see below).

PLEASE DO NOT BE FOBBED OFF BY THEM - THEY WILL QUOTE THEIR TERMS & CONDITIONS TO YOU - JUST QUOTE THEM BACK!!!!

Hi guys, ive been stung by these too! I emailed them today after £75 was taken out of my account. I was given a reference number with my email and told to write in and my money would be back in my account within 14 days! So i will see what happens, if not i will be in touch with the financial ombudsman so they are investigated and paying out fees that they dont want to be paying out and wont be getting back!!!!

It would seem that EZE loans do not have a consumer credit licence. They certainly do not mention one on their website. They aren't registered with the Information Commissioners Office and are not licensed by the FSA. If it was me I would steer well clear of them....

You can get this back.

I sent an email nearly 2 weeks ago asking them for a refund, and received a generic reply in return telling me what services they offer. I then responded straight away and made it very clear that I wanted a refund immediantly.

They didn't respond, so I sent a letter, as requested in their Terms and Conditions by recorded delivery (make sure you send it like this, it's too easy for a company to say 'we didn't receive it'), and I received confirmation that it was signed for and delivered. A week later, after having no confirmation that it was at least being processed, I logged a complaint with the Financial Ombudsman Service and sent Ezeloans this email:

: Hi,

I have requested a refund from your company 4 times and am yet to receive a response.

As stated in your terms and conditions, one request was made by letter, to your address in 88 Wood Street, well within the 14 days cooling off period. This letter was sent recorded delivery, and was signed for by U.Izat at 10:56am on 06/04/11.

Due to the worrying level of websites dedicated to calling your company a [problem], and the fact that your supposed 'address' is also the office of Regus office rentals, I have now taken my complaint to the Financial Services Ombudsman, who will charge you £450 to investigate your company.

In light of this, I feel it would be more worthwhile for you to refund my membership fee of £74.95, minus the £5 admin fee that you are legally allowed to take, immediantly. If this happens, I will withdraw my complaint to the Ombudsman.

Thank you for your time.

Lauren Hudson

I then received this email in return today:

Chris, Apr-14 14:06 (AZOST):

We have returned the membership fee back to your account as requested. The funds can take 3-5 working days to show in your account.

Kind Regards

ezeloans

Keep at them. They rely on people giving up and letting them keep the money, you are entitled to a refund by law. I will not be withdrawing my complaint to the Ombudsman as promised. I will be simply 'transferring' it to the FSA themselves. This company cannot keep getting away with trying to con people.
