The screaming question throughout is why the hell are they tormenting a terminally ill guy?

Just had a thought about a possible explanation for the huge increase in people found fit .

 

ATOS,report that the person is basically fit,doesn't matter how ill they are,they just report the claimant as fit.

 

They get paid for that fit claimant,but they ,ATOS ,know the claimant will appeal,and they know the appeal will be successful and the claimant will get their benefits reinstated.

 

ATOS know that the DWP will not deduct/ask for any money back ,so knowing this ,ATOS can ,if they wish , get that same claimant back to another medical within months of their last one,and again they report the same claimant fit for work,they get another payment ,claimant will appeal and will win and the DWP will again let ATOS keep monies they have or will get paid (based off of figures ATOS provide ).

 

ATOS have found a big loophole ,so they just rinse and repeat .

 

Now i don't know how ATOS get paid ,but tell me that isn't close to the truth ?

Well, doctors again and yet more tablets.

 

BP is still too high, and he is concerned that the hospital have still not give me an appointment to see the cardiologist.

 

Anyway, I now have Atenolol as well as the Losartan and the AD's.

 

Oh well. Worse things happen at sea (or so my dad keeps telling me).

Well, that's it really, I'm a medical marvel, so of course they want to investigate to see if they can use my miraculous status to fix the deficient ones (naming no names )

Well, as expected I got zero points for my assessment with ATOS. I telephoned DWP as regards to ESA and I basically had murder with them. This has really upset me. There are questions on my report that have zero points, and I wasn't even asked the questions. I went with mental health issues (because I was unaware of my physical problems at the time), but he ignored everything I brought up about them.

 

I have also told this to the DWP who gave me 2 options. Re-apply for ESA (new claim), because of my physical problems that were not recorded before (which would also mean going to ATOS again). Or I could appeal against the decision. I have decided to go for the appeal because there were no questions regarding mental problems I feel are restricting the work I can do. He has put down that I have no problems interracting with strangers and the likes, but he didn't even ask a question regarding that. I however told him about ten times that I do have problems with that. Did he listen? No. He just carried on asking pointless questions about wether I could get my coat on or not. I also told them that I couldn't understand what he was saying most of the time, and I doubt that he could understand most of what I was saying.

 

They are sending the appeal form for me to fill in and I am going to hospital today to have a 24 hour heart monitor fitted (that is after I have been for my weekly GP appointment). When will the government realise that this ATOS is just a shambles.

Hello sod'em, I'm really sorry to hear that.

 

As you say though, you have a lot of ammunition against the assessment. I think appeal is the right way to go. Mental health problems are badly catered for at Atos, as we know, and anyone who hasn't suffered can think you're making it up because they can't x-ray you for it. That's how I felt, anyway.

 

I put a sticky on the forum that has helped two other people win at appeal to a tribunal and Erika helped me with the template. There's a link to the points system, so you can score yourself and see what you should have got.

I know you half expected this bud. You know that the advice given on CAG will steer you straight and this is an area where I can only give moral support as I don't have a scooby about ATOS.

 

It always makes my blood boil when I think about people who don't come here and have to go through this sort of thing alone!

Because you were attacked id say you are suffering as well as psychically but also mentally , being attacked is a BIG thing ,someone close to me had 2 men go to his house and attack him to get him to keep quiet about an affair !! , and i know he suffered nightmares and like yourself found himself not wanting to go outdoors , he still lives in constant fear ,

im saying this because our minds are very strong and people just assume that someone has been attacked "oh thats terrible" and its forgotten about ,

but the person who gets attacked might suffer for years and years because of the attack , things like when you hear a loud band you will be jumpy (a lot more to a general fright) , panic attacks the list goes on and on here is a link i hope can help you , im so sorry to hear about all the things you have been through and more so that you kept it in because to me you tend to help others (like you said you hoped people have smiled through your other forum) and im glad you have plucked up the courage to say what you are going through ,

just a thought as you said they couldnt find out what was wrong with your blood pressure , do you get panicky when you have your blood pressure taken , i suffer panic attacks and when im at the dr,s etc and get my blood pressure taken its ALWAYS high , i thought maybe this may be your case , just a thought

my heart goes out to you and i pray they benefits see sense and help you rather than hassle you
