Just a thought, but isn't paying him over the phone a bit risky, as it could place you at risk of having your card misused?

 

Surely a postal Order or Cheque is the safest option???

Not only that but will probably charge for a Card payment. Ask him to come and collect and pay all in 1p's.

I could not be bothered with the hassle of me being here awaiting the bailiff, the time spent waiting for him could be utilised looking for work, but I understand what you are saying lol.

How did this lot go?

 

I complained to the Council about how I was treated, got the anticipated response back, and, frankly, found better things to do with my time. I still might go for it (coz I've got a half decent complaint, with eveidence), but in reality - who wants the stress??

 

I feel guilty now, because if everyone takes that approach, the scandal will continue...

 

Anyway...

 

Glad it was all sorted in the end
