Thats my thread re this but to make this breif.

 

C1 have lost some of my money and since i have refused to pay them. They startd phone harrassing me now i am taking them to court re the harrassement.

 

In writing, its part of there defence , they have said they have removed my number but i got a call from some woman in india re the account.

 

so court action and saying they have removed my number from there system which i have in writing is not going to stop them.

 

Any suggestions.

Well, being as they have already put it in writing that they have removed your contact numbers from their records, id firstly write to them including a copy of thier letter and gently remind them that they should not be calling you anymore.

 

Secondly, make sure that you state that any furthur phone calls made after the date of their letter will be treated as harrassment under the 1997 protection from harrassment act, and are thus punishable under law.

 

Finally, its worth investing in a small tape recorder, soshould there be any furthur phone calls, after youve informed the caller of the above, and get them to confirm their name, the date, time and the company they are calling from, treat the call as you would any other nuisance call.

 

i do this with telesales calls, as our landline number is ex directory and on TPS, so after ive informed them that im not interested, if they carry on, i simply have a conversation with them about something totally random.

Topics of conversation have included:-

 

soap plots (usually coronation street)

my atheletes foot problem

sexual tastes

the colour and consistancy of my last bowel movement

 

feel free to make up your own topics of conversation, but sexual or body function stuff usually does the trick.

erm, if its part of their court defence to say that they have removed your mobile number etc from their records, then how come theyre still calling you?. if they say they havent called you in court under oath, and they actually have, then theyre lying, this is called perjury and is a serious criminal offence.

also, you should be able to get a copy of their submitted documents for your own reference, they are obliged to provide this in order for you to counter any allegations made against you.

 

I cant record the calls as they are to my mobile and yes my partner 5 year old son and i have had loads of fun with them in the past trust me on that. We told our son that the guy had kidnapped sportacus and he got a right earful from our son...

 

yes you can record calls on your mobile, all you need is a dictaphone and a small directional microphone, you can buy such microphones from maplins or simarlar electrical shops, and it shouldnt cos any more than a tenner.

these microphones fit over the speaker of your mobile and give a decent enough recording quality, i have one of these and it works quite well, both with my mobile and my cordless landline handset.
