  1. I bought a washing machine on boxing days sales from sonicdirect.co.uk it was delivered a few days later and found to have a faulty door - which kept on locking after the wash cycle. spoke to sonic who asked me to ring samsung. ..rang them and got a RMA number. Rang sonic and they wanted ME to bring back the washing machine, when it was them that had delivered it in the first place!!!! Went to the store to the store when the sales lady fobbed me off suggesting I buy another washing machine and 'top it up' with extra funds to buy the new machine. I said i want the same washing machine and suddenly ALL of this make are SOLD OUT!!! Luckily they had a new delivery coming in but they wanted me to PAY for having a replacement washing machine delivered - why should i pay if the machine they delievered in the place was faulty!
  2. I spoke to the police who told me they can't help because the trees (which fell and are being cut on purpose) are on private land owned by the landlord and its a matter between me and the landlord and that I have to get the costs for the repair and bill the landlord - if he fails to help then sue him in court. The harrassment has been going on for years as well as the tressapassing..the council and police have not once showed any care in getting these NFH evicted. They are refusing to remove the metal stacked against my fence They are refusing to remove the dog shed they have put on purpose against my fence as well They are "untouchables" as far as the police are concerned! They have made life a misery for everyone in the area for many years. The NFH refuse to provide the landlords details. These are some of my fences which have been damaged by the falling tree and also by the NFH leaning metal and the dog shed onto my fence. I feel like crying...can you guys help me get victory over these NFH please! My priority is to get the fencing fixed up to stop the tresspassing first of all (can't wait 14 days for the landlord next door to respond and daily tresspassing) Shall I... 1. Get invoices for the cost of the fencing and pay for it to be fenced off 2. Send the invoices to the landlord - 14 days to pay or he goes to court. 3. I don't have legal cover but i'm not working so will it be free to sue the landlord through small claims court? They are more than vile Desperate Daniella - the police are afraid to take action against them! Can someone help me come up with a draft LETTER BEFORE CLAIM - I've never had to do one before and are proceedings issued through the small claims court? I have no idea how this works?
  3. I have tenants at the house so using this camera on an wireless internet connection would be difficult. Is there any alternative?
  4. The police visited my tenants but gave them a "diary" to keep and told them "...Going next door to the NFH will only make things much worse for you, its best we don't go there for your sake. The tenants are well known to the police....blah blah blah" The problem here is the PSCO are afraid to go next door to the NFH who are a real nasty bunch. They are very well known to the police but the police are afraid of even going to their house!
  5. Re: the broken fencing which the broken tree from the NFH garden next door has caused. The insurance does not cover fencing and I'm certainly not going to pay to repair my fencing which the tree next door has damaged it lies with the landlord next door...the NFH refuse to provide the details of the landlord i've asked them many times
  6. I made a report to the police re: the tresspassing/throwing rubbish and swearing to my tenants. The police simply gave my tenants a "diary" to keep. What makes matters even worse is the PCSO who came down was too scared to go next door and talk to the NFH. Because they are well known to the police and the PCSO said something along the lines of "I don't want to go next door because doing that will only make things much worse (for my tenants)" So he just gave the diary and left. I mean the police should have warned the NFH next door!
  7. I did speak to the council re: the throwing of rubbish over the fence and into my garden, they don't seem to care and have not warned the tenants next off for what they are doing inc their children damaging and tresspassing into my rear garden. I will check re: tree preservation order? No chance in getting to speak to the NFH they don't want to know or their landlord
  8. EDF are not admitting they are at fault and are asking me to pay my bill in full
  9. The Neighbours from Hell (NFH) are tresspasing into my rear garden through the gaps in the fencing here (the fencing was destroyed by a tree which they cut down in their garden and which in turn fell and destroyed my fencing) NFH kids and their friends are coming into my rear garden through the gaps here (where my fence used to be) They have also placed a dog shed on purpose leaning against my fence which broken by the pressure, see below My rear garden is private property so if the children and their friends are tresspassing into my rear garden what action can i take to stop this happening? Their mother is a real chav NFH - she won't stop her children tresspassing. Her children have also been damaging my fence posts with hammers in an attempt to make them collapse. Today NFH have been attempting to cut down these trees in the garden and then try to push them over into my garden like last time Their mother is fully aware her children are tresspassing, are cutting down trees (see my previous post of what damage they caused) What can I do to stop the tresspassing - the NFH rent their home. It was auctioned a few months ago and a new landlord bought the land. One of the conditions in their tenancy agreement is they must not trouble neighbours or anyone in the area or they could be evicted. Their landlord is fully aware of what his tenants are doing but does not care - he only cares about the rent he is getting from them. Now what can I do to 1. Stop the tresspassing 2. Stop them throwing litter into my garden Which CCTV system is good enough to cover the entire length of the garden So I can have concrete evidence of their tresspassing, causing damge to my property and throwing litter. They have also been stacking up metal and other rubbish against another section of fence which has now broken by the weight/pressure of the the items they have placed from their side against my fence, see below They have been attempting to cut the trees in their garden and make them collapse into my garden
  10. The NFH told the insurance people the landlord had come down with a saw and showed them how to cut down the trees and then let them do it...
  11. I rang Edfenergy to provide them with the new details of the new a/c details where I wanted the Direct Debit to come out from (it was previously set up on anothe a/c I have). The lady at Edfenergy took the s/c and a/c of the new account. today I have found out that: Barclays let the Edfenergy direct debit go out from the new a/c details I had given Edfenergy (but there is no direct debit actually set up on the Barclays side on the new account where I wanted the DD to come out and which I gave the details of the new account to Edfenergy) Later on the same day the direct debit came back straight in as Unpaid into my Barclays a/c. now because of this Edfenergy have changed my payment from The orginal direct debit of £140 to a wholesale payment of £240 (Edfenergy are wanting the money in full as opposed to the direct debit payments) Edfenergy office was closed today so could not get through, so did live chat with Edfenergy who said Barclays are to blame and I should find out why Barclays refused the payment. Barclays are saying Edfenergy did not notify them about the new direct set up? Who is to blame and what steps can I now take to make sure Edfenergy put the payment as it originally was as monthly direct debits. Who is to blame and can I claim any compensation for the upset and inconvience caused?
  12. It appears the NFH attempted to cut down the tree (below) which part of fell into my rear garden - the NFH came out with this slip of tongue talking to the insurance people that came to visit but she blamed the landlord saying he came down with a saw and showed them how to cut down the tree and left them to it I've attached pictures of the where the tree was cut down from the NFH garden side (NFH have attempted to cut down the tree from where its snapped in the picture) The rest of the tree is now dangerous and needs to be cut right down before the same thing happens again. Is the landlord or the NFH to blame?
  13. I don't have any paperwork related to any credit cards or loans I took out...I would say its easily been over 6 years but I don't know who the provider was. Could I make ask the banks if I took a product out with them?
  14. I had loans and credit cards in the past but I have no idea which banks they were with as its been so long and I don't have paperwork. Is there anyway I can find out if I ever had PPI on a product
  15. can anyone recommend a good cctv system that I can use to cover the entire length of my back garden as in the pictures above that works well in the dark as well and with good picture quality? do maplin or anyone sell something?
  16. Good news the owner of the trees is in fact the landlord next door (and not the owner of the land behind my home) as confirmed by the insurance. He is denying the trees belonng to him and refuses to do anything.
  17. It really annoys me the council knows the owner of the lands details but is not providing them to me under the guise of 'DPA' which is ridiculous. hmmmmm what can i do now?
  18. I have worked full time during 2010/11 and 2011/12 and 2013 do I then qualify for JSA© - am i correct in saying you must have earned more than £2600 in either of the tax years in order to qualify for JSA© ? If I were to put a claim in before this tax year then what is the latest date that I can do it online on the directgov site?
  19. the neighbours have refused to provide the details of the landlord - so in theory the landlord next door could be the owner of the trees?
  20. It ask on the website "In total, do you have savings of more than £16000? Savings include money, shares, investments and property that you or your partner own in the UK or abroad. Please note: savings do not include the property where you live." Does this mean the properties are not considered part of the savings? but they are only asking if you have more than £16000 in the bank as savings. I have just just over £16000 - how will this effect the claim?
  21. I'm not asking for the council to repair the boundaries - the land is owned by a company who it is I have not been able to find out the owners details as the land does not have a physical address. The council have replied saying "...we are not willing to provide the details of the owner of the land as it would be breaking the Data Protection Act....." They have advised me to contact my solicitor
  22. i think i understand it better with the excellent advice on here...so basically be open with them if they ask if i own any properties and whats the worst that could happen if i tell them - they can't refuse my claim can they - i have no income coming in and just been using up my savings but now i have no resort but to claim JSA to help me until I find a job. Do I tell them on the form re: properties or if they ask? To qualify for contribution based JSA© you just have to have been working and paid a certain amount of tax is that correct? If I don't qualify for based JSA© then it will be JSA(IB) for this do i need to tell them I have properties and how much savings etc? i've not signed on for over over 15 years so have no idea if things have changed which is why i'm asking on the forum for advice
  23. To clarify is the rental income not usually treated as income for JSA(ib) in all cases...but say if it was treated as income then what would happen? So the longest I can claim for is basically 26weeks for either JSA© or JSA(IB) - can they find out about the properties if i don't tell them?
