  1. I can apply for jobs with other agencies, but the ones I am applying for with REED - the whole entire staff are fobbing me off and rejecting me for every single job, whereas my friends are not having the same problem with them and they work with me in the same job! REED are telling me to stick the contract out or resign and they will THEN consider me for other jobs I apply for - surely this is illegal

I know I can hand in my notice anytime, but REED are simply rejecting every single job application that I am applying for other jobs because I want to leave the present job they have given me, they have told me I have to work out my notice BUT my friends that are also employed with them are applying for other jobs through REED and they don't have the same problems as me - with REED staff rejecting all my applications and fobbing me off over the telephone. How can REED possible take financial redress against me, its a temp jobs and people in temp jobs move from job to job when they want to if they are fed up with the job they are in REED are doing this to me on purpose because all they are concerned about is their bonus - if someone lasts the full term of the contract and nothing else
  3. I went and signed up with REED job agency in yorkshire and they gave me an evening job from 4pm to 11pm, this lasts until xmas. I've been at the job since June but now I want to leave because the hours are not good, i did not think of this before, but now it will be getting darker earlier and its a long way to travel as well. I've told the person at REED that gave me the contract that I want to leave and to apply for otherjobs - they have turned around and told me "........you must stick out your contract to the end..........you knew about the hours when you applied...................etc" I am desperate to leave this place, the hours are unsociable..........I have been looking for other jobs and have been using the REED job web site, every single job that I have been applied for that is advertised by REED (which would have been given to me without doubt, if I was not working) I have been rejected, even the most basic of jobs, they have been rejecting me - i know the real reason why this is happening is because i want to leave the job I am at at moment and by rejecting me for all other jobs that I have been applying for - they feel this is the way they can drag me out to last the full term of the contract till xmas. When I have spoken to other staff at the agency, they all say "......the job is taken or sorry your working at xyz place so we can't consider you" My contract does not state that I am not allowed to apply for other jobs - its a temp job and people in tem jobs go from job to job, its a fact What action can i take against REED - because they have been rejecting me for every job I have been applying for, the full staff at REED are all doing this and they have placed a note on the system to say - don't allow her to apply for jobs and reject her for all jobs What can I do, I'm sure what REED are doing is against the law

I've come up with a few ideas for a name for the driving school and a web domain is available for that as well, is there a way that I can register the .co.uk domain name as a business (dormant say for 12 months, until i go indy) so that nobody else in the area can use the same name? Reason for this is i may decide to go with a school for the time being and get experience but then go indy in about 8-12 months time, once I have gained teachig experience but I want my own personal domain and driving school name registered and ready for when i go indy and don't want anyone else using the same name - they won't be able to use the domain as I will have bought it, so I was thinking if i register the driving school name as a company but dormant/inactive for (12 months until i go indy) will this stop anyone using the same name?
  5. i'm disgsuted that homeprotect treated me with comtempt refusing to fix my boiler by claiming claims and conditions state boiler has to have been serviced, which it was but i lost the paperwork and i told them i have small children at home, but they told me sorry you have to pay and then they only gave me back £99 of my £240 I paid them, they still owe me £140 and how they now have the nerve to ask me to give them my private details in pm is just plain wrong, after refusing to fix my boiler - this is just another trick to try to save face, worst insurance company ever
  6. I need the BEST anti vandal paint that can be used on a garden fence and which will not dry up in the sun or come off in the rain, can anyone please provide a link to where i can buy this from? can it be bought in clear instead of coloured, so the neigbours wont realise?
  7. The neighbour has a tree in their garden and several of the branches are over hanging into my garden, which the children are using to climb onto and then climb onto my fence, am i legally o.k to cut down the branches of the tree that over hang into my garden?

I have just seen the replies to this thread, homeprotect for yourinformation my complaint was basically thrown aside, I paid around £240 in one go for the insurance and when I needed help for boiler repairs 4 weeks later I was told along the lines of "sorry but our terms and conditions state you MUST have the boiler serviced in the last 12 months or else you pay......" I told the advisor, I had lost the paperwork and was not made aware of this clause in the contract before I took the policy out and thus it is miss-selling i am going to take this to the FOS, homeprotect have to be the worst ever insurance company i have ever dealt with, i would not recommend these people to anyone at all, stay well clear and save your money and don't up with the same problems I did [ QUOTE=HomeProtect;3862350]Hello Layla_83 Could you please drop us ,using a private message through this forum, some details so we can check your policy and verify that your complaint and claim has been processed with due diligence. Just paid a visit to the house (staying at my mums for time being) - the neighbours have made a 6t wide gap in the hedge in the rear garden and are now entering my garden inc the children, this is tresspassing. They have also placed a swing in their garden facing towards the gap, so when they swing they feet go through the gap in the hedge. Now, I have 2 options the police have told me 1. fence the gap up with wooden fencing (but they could use the swing in their garden and knock/break down the fence) 2. use steel palisade fencing to fill the gap what do you suggest if i was to go with the wooden fencing option and the neighbours caused damage, what legal action can i take, as the police wont do anything - i was thinking of getting the landlord details, seeing a solictor and taking private court action against them?

I have a temp job and everyone was sent an email saying the company won't allow a change of hours as we all signed the contract and its fixed hours 2pm to 10pm. however me and others are going back to college and uni next month and would like to request part time hours, which i know the company may well accept our request if its put in the correct wording in email. can anyone help me with the text for the wording, i was thinking of "please can i request part time hours as I am due to go back to college next month" - but this seems a bit short, anyone please help me with a good draft which sounds good and is solid

  13. I have the dates of all the times my house has been damaged and broken into, the dates and reference numbers for crimestoppers and the police. I want to write a letter before action to the landowner of the wasteland, similar to the letter that BRIGADIER2JCS has written on this thread http://www.consumeractiongroup.co.uk/forum/showthread.php?356583-Dampness-caused-by-neighbours-property, i think that will give the landowner a wake u call and get them to block the pathway. i think the council own the land or a private landowner which is why they have refused to help me and provide details of who owns the land

  16. this is the illegal pathway that leads to the rear of the tenants home and my home, the entire waste land must be legally fenced off regardless of who owns the land council or private thiefs use the pathway to break into empty homes in the street, so it must be legally fenced off inc all the wasteland, please advise

The land is being used to access peoples houses at night from the rear, break into peoples houses at night and then make the escape through the wasteland, thats what happend to me and other people. the neighbour is using the land to dump rubbish like fridges and household and so are other people. fires are lit, needles, dirty nappies...............etc are being thrown on that i wanto to legally force the landowner be it private or the council to have all the wasteland fenced out to stop all this happening and stop people using the field to break into the rear of the houses 1st step i will do is speak to the land registry and see what they give me

My friend to the warden that I had gone to a shop to get change to which the warden said o.k and started to walk away............when my friend range to say warden had come to the car i thought i had got a parking ticket and ran towards the car. the warden saw me coming and returned back to the car and asked me to get the ticket with the change. i told her the shop had no change and i was moving the car and was sorry, i got into the car and started to reverse out the parking spot, the warden took picture of the parking sign and of my car and said "i'll send the ticket in the post" within 10 mins i got change from another shop and parked around the corner...........so the wardens argument does not hold up........as i have a witness and also the parking ticket which i bought when i parked around the corner

I parked my car in the city centre parking bay with a friend sat in the passenger seat, I across the road about 70ft away to a shop to ask them if they had change as I did not have any coins for the ticket machine. whilst inside the shop my friend rang me and told me a warden had come to the car and she had told the warden I was inside the shop to get change. I ran out of the shop thinking I was about to get a fine, as I approached the car the warden realised I was the owner and said something like "so you got the change for the ticket machine then?" I said "The shop did not have any change and I will move my car, I'm sorry" I got inside my car, started it and was in the process of reversing outside the parking bay and move the car, the warden took a picture of the waiting time sign and a picture of my car and said something like "too late, your getting a ticket in the post to your house" I said "The shop did not have change and I am moving the car" The warden said "too late thats not good enough" Now I want to appeal the parking fine, as I have a witness in my car who can confirm I went to the shop to ask for change, I also have a witness inside the shop as well. When I got back to the car the warden was already walking away to go somewhere else but stopped and started walking towards me when she saw I was running towards my car and opened the drivers door to move the car. I explained I was unable to get change from the shop and was going to move my car, the warden out of spite as I was reversing out the parking bay took a picture of the parking sign and my car and said to me sarcastically "thats not good enough, i'll send the paperwork to your house" So I moved my car and managed to park around the corner and went to a different shop where I was able to get change and a bought a parking ticket all within 5 mins of the incident, do I have good grounds to argue the parking fine since I parked elswhere within 5 mins of the incident and was able to get change I want to appeal this because I know I am in the right, how can I put this down on paper please help?
  21. since i have now moved out of my house, does anyone know a good outside cctv camera with built in dvr recording that does not need mains power supply and is motion activated? i've put the house for rent so don't want a dvr recorder in the house in case the tenants mess around with it, anyone know of a good setup i can use given the circumstances with me not living at the house and with tenants there?

  23. i've put my house up for rent and moved out, after all thats happened i'm too scared to move back in and i cant sell the house because i will lose money. what is the samsung cctv system with the hard drive? even if i bought a safe that would be stolen as well by the robbers
