  1. OP paid for a pay and display ticket for that car park. He owes them nothing, end of!
  2. "not all disabilities have an impact on a person's mobility". Not all disabled people with mobility issues have a blue badge!
  3. In my oppinion when PPCs and their DCAs post up these cases on their websites, with words like "told to ignore by online forums" , smacks of desperation. I feel that "online forums" and their advice is hurting PPCs a lot! Of course they take the odd cases to court, we know that, of course they get the odd win in court, we know that, they are discussed on these forums. They bleat about them because they are trying to justyfy their greed. Nothing more. Nice of you to bring it up peanutsallergy, lets us see just how desperate things are in PPC world!
  4. Do all of the above and make sure you video them and record their silly threats.
  5. OP states that the ticket says"Parking Charge Notice" and is payable to CP+ , so it is safe to say it is not council.
  6. They could ask you for £1000 or £1,000,000 still doesnt mean that they can legaly make you pay it !
  7. But could they take the higher ammount? And it doesnt matter if they dont accept, the offer is there! The offer to pay what is owed not the unenforcable penalty!
  8. Write to them (the nhs trust not cp+!) and offer to pay the £4.
  9. And, hopefully, he will not be paying them anything. ( I know how the PPC system works by the way!)
  10. You said in your original post that your wife paid for parking anyway. So you owe the PPC NOTHING! Why do you think you owe £172 ?
  11. Isnt OSC "Optional Service Cover" ? Emphasis on the optional!
  12. But in this case the HCEOs are doing nothing but wasting their own time and money. Would it not be more beneficial to the HCEOs to be putting more effort into persuading the claimant of the Nulla Bona situation rather than waisting their own time and money?
  13. Good luck. If you have anymore dealings with their collectors on your doorstep you could record them , camera/ cameraphone ect.
  14. If they do turn up on friday do not let them in , talk to them from an upstairs window for example, tell them to leave your property , if they do not leave you will call the police, and when they turn up use that mobile phone to video them and their threats. If you have any dealings with them try to record it.
  15. That is worthy of a complaint to DVLA and BPA. The more complaints the better.
  16. The PPC might not be that worried by the £27+vat for the POPLA appeal, but they might be worried by the findings of that appeal.
  17. If £27 does not matter to them, then you have to ask yourself why they have not sent a POPLA code? They do know about the PoFA. They do know about the BPA CoP. They do not want this to go to POPLA. Why? I do not think a POPLA appeal is "wrong" in this case (the OPs.) He clearly has a permit to park. A POPLA appeal is surely a certainty. You could be right in other cases but the OPs case is well worthy of a POPLA appeal.
  18. Yes, but getting a POPLA code will then cost the PPC money, The POPLA decision may go in your favour, which means your invoice is cancelled and has cost the PPC. If it does not go in your favour then you can still ignore the PPC but will have cost them money. I happen to think that the reason that they have not sent a POPLA code is because they do not want the appeal to go to POPLA, for whatever reason, cost to them, they know they are on to a loser(as the OP sent them a copy of the permit), whatever the reasons. I think the PPC are running scared(of POPLA) and i think that the OP has nothing to lose by asking for the code.
  19. That is very naughty of them not to give you a POPLA code. Email them and ask them where your POPLA ref code is? Once you get that you can appeal to POPLA and cost them £27+vat. Whatever you do DO NOT PAY THEM A PENNY. You do not owe them anything.
  20. When your appeal was rejected were you given a POLA appeal code? If so it might be worth your while appealing to POPLA.
  21. I think the Ignore route is one of the choices you have, it has worked very well for me. Ignoring the begging letters is very easy to do and takes very little effort.Your way is also a good route to take. I think it is personal choice.
  22. Your friend who said she was clamped over an unpaid ticket, i hope she sued them in court and got her money back ,plus costs ,plus damages?
  23. Sometimes these car parks, on the edge/ in town , The council state on their planning permission that the car park is free for all users then along comes the PPC and put their own restrictions on ,for example, customers only, 90 mins only then a charge of £100 for over 90 mins , ect. Without realising that they are breaching the planning permission. Then the landowners are usualy paying the wrong buisness rates on the free car park that is now a "charge for" car park.
