  1. Did they give you a POPLA code with their rejection?
  2. I can not see a BPA logo on that sign. Is this a council run car park?
  3. I would love to see a POPLA appeal based on these facts. See how they try to say this isnt a penalty!
  4. I would bet that this Asdas planning permission states that the car park must be free? Might be worth a look at?
  5. Wonder if their planning permission allows them to charge for parking?
  6. I would also say the BPA are NOT a regulatory body they are a voluntary trade body.
  7. Might be a good idea, if ever bailiff does call, to video and record everything from a closed window or through the letterbox.
  8. Have to agree. These POPLA decisions are showing them up for the sham that they are (POPLA).
  9. I do think , however, that the Dft should have a definition "properly authorised" in their document. Without a definition "properly authorised" (in the context of the Dft guidelines) , means nothing at all!
  10. The flowchart states that the "landholder" can recover damages. The landholder can be an agent of the landowner provided he is "properly authorised" according to the document definitions. However it does not define "properly authorised" anywhere in the document.
  11. The choice is yours. You "could" send them the cost of half hours parking if you wanted. You "could" also ignore them. Have a read arround this forum, get the hang of what a Private Parking Invoice involves, and then make your own mind up as to the way forward. For what it is worth my advice is to Ignore and let them waste their time and money!
  12. You should send a complaint into the lidl shop mannager about the icident . Tell him he has lost your/your family and your friends custom because of it !
  13. Trust us it is realy easy to ignore these letters! Most of us have done so endless times! Why do you think that letters will be so hard to ignore?
  14. How can you "NOT PAYING " the PPC mean that you will have to fork out more money? Not paying them means exactly that " NOT PAYING " Stop worrying and ignore , you owe them nothing.
  15. Maybe if this episode was highlighted in the media, including Asda's good response, Then other supermarket chains might look into the way they are dealing with this problem. Just a thought!
  16. The POFA legislation introduced on Oct 1st 2012 does not make it any easier for them to take you to court. They still have exactly the same hurdles to get over as they did before oct 1st, which is why you can safely ignore them.
  17. If debt collector does turn up, answer the door with your phone on record and TELL them to get of your property, then shut the door. Debt collectors have no more powers than you or i. They are powerless, all they can legaly do is ask you for money and you can legaly tell them to F OFF! I would like to bet that no one turns up on the 27th! Who is the debt collection company by the way?
  18. The law of contract with the landowner only, not the PPC.
  19. They get away with it because uninformed people are quick to pay them. Anyone can ask anyone else for money, but that doesnt mean that you have to pay. In actual fact ,by asking you to pay them they are doing nothing illegal. But also, by you refusing to pay them , to deal with them or, ignoring them, you are doing nothing illegal either. As i just said, they continue because they can easily persuade the uninformed to give them money!
  20. You could also put how disgusted you are with their behaviour and lack of compassion showing just what kind of company they are.
  21. It might also be a good ides to complain to the retail park or the shops that you visited stating that you are totaly disgusted in the way that their agents are treating and harrassing your disabled dad!
  22. Its not a FINE, Stop taking them seriously, just ignore them and get on with the rest of your life. They can not do anything to you but send letters. All they want is your money, dont give it to them.
