The origin of the term black sheep has no racist connotations whatsoever and neither can it be offensive - it simply means odd one out.

from what i understand meshi is trying to make people say things which he can eventually claim as being liablous. However i am asian and i did not take offence to what was posted about a black sheep. Also what meshi is saying is that any sort of proverb or saying will be taken by him and used as a racial thing against himself. Meshi mate i would back off as the last thing we want is sombody to give everybody viewing this thread that this is a racial site. !!!!!!!! Have a read of this paper which shows jbw enforcement ltd contract value. This is for only 1 If there are 30 That means there are18 million quid tobe made profit wise and if theres 100 that is £60 million quid to be made. If this is one company what about the others out there ? Nobody works for free do they ?

Yeh i'll explain alright!

First of all if i was racist i reckon my wife, both children and all my inlaws would be a little narked to say the least bearing in mind my wife is black.

 

Secondly, i couldn't give a [edit] what ANYBODIES race or religion is because i have a VERY simplistic approach to life, which is if they are human give them all the same amount of respect until such time as they show they are not worth it because of the person they are, nothing AT ALL to do with their skin colour or religion.

 

I have travelled the world over, and worked with god knows how many different nationalites. Funnily enough they were all human beings first and foremost. I found some of them [edit] and the majority of them cracking people. What i dont remember them as is a black, white, asian ect good lad or [edit] They are people FULLSTOP!

 

My children are brought up this way, and as they get older, I AM meeting more and more situations where they are looked at as a half caste child (for better or worse) rather than just being looked at as a child. So its on these grounds that i can quantify my statement. The day that i have to explain to my children the history of "Baa Baa Black sheep", or "black sheep of the family" then i think i'll have failed as a parent. They are a nursary rhyme and a common saying in my eyes with NO baggage attached whatsoever.

 

For months now i have been an avid follower of this site, and i think its such a shame that life in general wasn't indicative of this site, no one has ever given two [edit] what background a poster was, they are only judged (if at all judged) by the content of posts/opinions.

 

DON'T even think about throwing race cards in this direction, i have seen and dealt with first hand the devastation caused by racsim at its worst - ethnic cleansing was the phrase used in the press. Hence my view that EVERYONE is an equal.

 

Just remember that it was YOU who broached the subject in the first place and has already been quite rightly pointed out, how could anything be mis construde as racist when no one knows anyones background on this site.

 

You have come onto this thread and took it upon yourself to quite vehemently criticise Bailchaser. Thats your perogative, in the same way, if in your opinion he is grinding an axe, so what, thats his perogative. Look close enough and you will probably notice 99% of the people on this site have an axe to grind with one organisation or another. However you will also notice that the site is so successful because members support each other with helpful information or constructive criticism. Not personal tirades.

It depends if you want to pursue a veadetta and risk losing, or you genuinly want some compensation.

 

If it was me and they made a reasonable offer then I would withdraw the claim.

 

The court system is not about principles of the matter or pursuing vendettas.

 

I supose it would be fun to see though.

yeah you are being paid off. But what is your point. If they are paying off a reasonable amount then I cant see the problem. It does not mean that because they are paying you off they have something to hide (although they may do).

 

Do you want to go to court and risk losing.

 

People get paid off all the time. Its just a way to aviod time and expense of dealing with the court.

 

Its only my opinion but if it can be sorted before it goes to court then that should be it.
