I should imagine that Labrokes see many such cases every week and they will just refuse to consider any refund of the money lost, until they are forced into it. e.g. successful complaint to regulators, Court claim against them.
Although the Bank may not have been at fault in any way, if Mart had been willing to provide the Bank with his Wifes details, with an explanation of what has happened, there was a slim chance they would have refunded debits. Allowing 27 transactions amounting to £13000 with just 1 warning text, does not seem very satisfactory.

NO, THE SERVICE AREA IS OWNED BY A PETROL SALES COMPANY, SHELL, BUT THEY USE/OR DID USE A PRIVATE COMPANY TO MONITOR THEIR SERVICE AREA, A COMPANY WHO FIT A CAMERA TO MONITOR WHO USES THE AREA, THERE WAS A NOTICE STATING PARKING WAS ONLY ALLOWED TO CUSTOMERS OF THE SERVICE AREA, BUT WHERE THAT NOTICE WAS IS NOT CLEAR AS I DID NOT SEE IT, I DID READ ONLINE THAT THE COMPANY WHO MONITORED THE CAMERAS AND ISSUED THE FINES HAD GONE IN TO ADMINISTRATION, BUT I'M NOT 100% SURE ABOUT THAT, WHEN I RECEIVED NOTICE OF THE PARKING FINE IN 2016. I RANG THEM UP EXPLAINING THAT THE POLICE TOLD ME TO PARK THERE AND I LEFT BEFORE IT WAS OPEN TO THE PUBLIC, AND THEY SAID UNDER THE CIRCUMSTANCES I DID NOT HAVE TO PAY THE FINE, THEN FOUR YEARS LATER dcbl SAY THEY WANT £180 IN FINES AND COSTS, I FEEL THAT HEY ARE BEING UNREASONABLE TO SAY THE LEAST. . .
I believe I have access to all of the statements on the Barclaycard website, I don't have anything on paper unfortunately.
The letter sent by Hoist shows a default of 8124, the total limit on the card was 8000 so it seems not too much has been put on top of the debt.
For my part I don't dispute the debt at all, completely my fault for this situation.
