  • 3 weeks later...

mine also got written off...

if you've had a old Wonga debt and youve changed e mails - it may be worth calling them.

i didnt know mine was written off as i they'd sent the write off e mail to my old e mail address.

They know both my new email and address and have yet to contact me again. I phoned them and asked how much they owed me and was giveno a load of spiel.

Well done to all who helped highlight the misdemeanors of the shabby PDL companies. If they had played nicely they wouldn't be in this position now.

Wonga apparently are looking at a new name (according to an elderly neigbour Wonga during the war meant dirty money ie black market finance).

Where did you see that - they possibly owe me a lot of rollover money and interest, okay only £25 x 10 but still a reasonable amount to claim! Their business model was designed to rely on rollovers - try contacting them to pay in full and you got excuse after excuse. everything from 'system down' to no response whatsoever.

I believe over the years I had about 10-20 PDLs from Wonga.

now I don't owe them any money but is there a chance they could owe me?
