Hi All,

 

This is my first post.

 

I received this letter this morning.

 

I have no idea what the hell it's about.

 

They haven't said anything about what it is? It seems very ambiguous.

 

The first two letters from them were trying to ascertain whether I lived at that address or not.

 

Do I need to send them a letter asking for further details of this supposed debt?

 

I would appreciate a nod in the right direction.

Hi, it looks like a fishing letter. They are trying to match the alleged debtor to an address and bingo they think its you. Do you recognise the amount they state? Have you any outstanding credit cards, loans etc... I would ignore it until anything more substantial turns up. Others will be along to advise I'm sure. For now file it under 'crap'. Take care

Couple of things. Have you ever had a student loan? And do not call them, ever. Take care.

Stay away from the phone. To me it looks like it could be a DCA collecting on behalf of another DCA.

Wait until something concrete turns up.

Because ccs chase student loans. Was just on the off chance the op had a student loan. Plus there seems to be an increase in old student loans being chased.

I do have a student loan which hasn't been paid off in full yet.

 

I just started a new job so they usually take it out of my salary.

 

It may also be a parking fine(council) on a company car that I had 3 years ago.

 

Apart from that I have no other debts.

try and logically name your file so people know what it is.

though DONT USE BANK NAMES or CAGicon in the title

i'e Default notice DDicon-mm-yyyy

open a new msg box here

hit go advanced below the msg box

hit manage attachments below that box

hit the add files button on the top right

hit select files, navigate to your file on your pc

hit upload files

...

YOU DONT have to put a link to the attachment in the msg box..just upload it ..job done

you can click on your links to check them too!
