Hi All,

I purchase a 32" Tv from Tesco at a very good price just about £159 which is not a misprice by the way until it went out of stock, it was despatched for next day delivery however the TV failed to arrive. Yodel claimed it was left with my neighbor however the neighbor in question is hardly ever at home and I am the one who actually receives parcel for the said neighbor, but I check with the neighbor anyway and it was not there. I was home all day on the said day but I was sure there was no yodel driver about.

Tesco are still investigating and I dread them coming back to me asking to refund my payment as I really do want the TV and if buying similar TV else where would definitely cost loads more.

Can I insist on another comparable TV or find the tv elsewhere and claim the difference from them?.

Item in question here

Hi

Unfortunately, if they have nothing to offer you at a similar price then they should refund you. If you get your money back, they will be out of pocket with the lost delivery.

Don't let Tesco try and pass the buck either. Your contract is with them, not (useless) Yodel.

Its between Tesco and Yodel if the item was indeed lost and am sure they ll have insurance to cover that aspect. They have not tried to pass the buck though, I was informed someone will get back to me when they are done interviewing the driver.

Yodel, like others, subcontract their deliveries to self-employed drivers and some of these are not that honest. It may be a genuine error but if it isnt then it wont be the first time. Give Tesco a couple of days then remind them that you dont have a telly and when can you expect one.

Lol, I take it you are a member of the 10 ways group, I bought three of those TVs when the price glitch happened.

One of them had a fault (pressure mark under the screen,) and they wouldn't do a like for like swap. But they now have the TV in stock as I got mine replaced at the door, they bought a new one I have them my old one.

So if they still have it in stock and yours has gone missing get them to replace it.
