  1. I basically have 14 days to reply to Ombudsman and give reasons why I disagree with their decision. If push comes to shove I ll rather pay their termination fee (£325) than have the default on my credit record as that is the only default on my file.
  2. I have add the letter as an attachment, couldnt upload it to a URl as am at work at the moment. I never received a letter prior to that, but O2 Claim they wrote me and Omdubsman agrees with them.
  3. 01, 02, 03 numbers are included, however the 03 number in question was being used for conference calling. O2 could simply block access to the particular number as done by some other operator but they didnt, but fact was it was included in my price plan which had unlimited minutes.
  4. Hi All, I took out an O2 Contract in May 2014 on a refresh price plan. I few weeks later O2 sent me a text message saying I was making excessive calls to 03 numbers and to reduce the number of calls to the said numbers. I did, I reduced my calls but did not stop making calls to said number. A couple of weeks lateron the 17th June, I got a letter saying they were sorry abiout the letter that I wrote to them complaining about my line being cancelled in the next 30 Days. I replied that I did not receive any letter saying my lines was being cancelled, but they chose to ignore my letter. a week later I realised that my line has stopped working, So I tried to contact O2 but the fobbed me off and said the line was being disconnected and that I should write a letter to their compaint department which I already did before but they ignored my letter. Being on a refresh contract I decided to pay of the Device plan and cancelled the price plan seeing as this account is in dispute. They gladly took my money for the device plan but refuse to close my price plan account even though my line had stopped working. O2 did not write a letter to me asking for the termination fee which was the priceplan for the remaining 22 of the contract but they decided to make a late payment entry into my credit record, Am I wrong in thinking that if the account was in dispute they should not record a late payment in my account? I contacted Ombudsman to compalin abiout the termination charge as I had reduced my calls to the said 03 numbers and also about the default recorded on my credit record. but they still went ahead to terminate my contract anyway, If 02 told me to stop calling the numer outright, I would have said maybe I was wrong but the did say in their letter that calling 03 number is not forbidden but excessive calls to the number is what they do not allow. Excessive is relative and that has been how I had been using my line from the start. O2 removed the termination charges from my account but refused to remove the default and late payment from my Credit record and Ombudsman agrees with them. If O2 was going to default my record are they under obligation to notify me or not? Also on the case of excessive calls, I made an average of 18 calls to the 03 number after O2 told me to reduce the calls to 03 numbers. Please is there anyway to get O2 to remove the marker from my record please. Thanks in advance.
  5. I wonder why tesco will not do away with them? Its between Tesco and Yodel if the item was indeed lost and am sure they ll have insurance to cover that aspect. They have not tried to pass the buck though, I was informed someone will get back to me when they are done interviewing the driver.
  6. Hi All, I purchase a 32" Tv from Tesco at a very good price just about £159 which is not a misprice by the way until it went out of stock, it was despatched for next day delivery however the TV failed to arrive. Yodel claimed it was left with my neighbor however the neighbor in question is hardly ever at home and I am the one who actually receives parcel for the said neighbor, but I check with the neighbor anyway and it was not there. I was home all day on the said day but I was sure there was no yodel driver about. Tesco are still investigating and I dread them coming back to me asking to refund my payment as I really do want the TV and if buying similar TV else where would definitely cost loads more. Can I insist on another comparable TV or find the tv elsewhere and claim the difference from them?. Item in question here
  7. What is classed as "lot"? I had some issue with O2 with my address in the past, whereby I was not able to place an order online on their website due to some issue with the say my address was recorded on their system. Oblivious of the damage that was being done to my file. I tried online and and even called up to talk to someone who advised all looks okay and wanted to try it over the phone if that was okay to which I said yes but was declined eventually as well. These obviously has left their footprint on my file. IS there a way I can get O2 to remove these searches from my account?
  8. I just checked now with Equifax and its scoring me 428 out of 600. Latest Score 428 428 15/06 What your Score means to you You have a score of 428. Your score is highly predictive that you would be a good candidate for credit. You are above the average for UK borrowers. Most credit grantors would consider this score good. While many factors other than your score influence the decision to grant credit, you will probably not be turned down for loans based on your score alone. Review the Risk Signals below to identify areas that may be negatively impacting your score. Find out more about automatic credit decisions . Credit Agreements This section lists information provided by credit providers and other lenders, including details of existing and previous credit agreements and historical information about the repayment of these agreements. Lenders update and supply this information to Equifax on a monthly basis. You may find that not all the credit accounts you have with lenders are necessarily shown on your credit report. However, most lenders provide Equifax with information on all their customers accounts, irrespective of the status of the accounts i.e. up to date and overdue. Good You have 10 active accounts and 6 settled accounts on file at your current address. Credit grantors prefer that you have at least one or two accounts as part of your credit profile. Active accounts are preferred to settled accounts. Good You have no active accounts and 11 settled accounts on file at your previous address(es). Credit grantors prefer that you have at least one or two accounts at your current address. Settled accounts at your previous address can improve your chances of getting credit if you have a limited credit profile. Excellent Your oldest account is 7 year(s) 10 month(s) old. Credit grantors prefer to see accounts opened at least 36 months. Excellent You have no derogatory items in your payment history. Excellent All payments on your accounts are up to date. Excellent Credit reference agencies are receiving periodic updates from your credit grantor(s) that reflect you have made payments on time in the past. Excellent You have no defaults. Electoral Roll The Electoral Roll is a list of everyone who is entitled to vote in elections, and their addresses. Your Local Authority updates this information every year using the details from the registration form you receive each autumn from your Electoral Registration Office. Each year we use a copy of the Electoral Roll to update our records. If you've move house during the year and advise your new Electoral Registration Office we will reflect this change as part of our additional monthly update from each local authority. The address details on our database are sourced from the Post Office and may differ slightly from the address details registered with your Local Authority. As part of your Credit Report we will provide you with details of the Electoral Roll for each of the addresses you supplied to us, current or previous and also for addresses linked to you. Please be aware that new properties may not yet appear on our database and that Equifax holds a limited number of addresse for the Channel Islands. Fair (I moved house in September 2011 and notified the council but was not reflected until April Last Year ) You are presently shown as registered on the electoral roll but your registration at your current address is for two years or less. Credit grantors generally prefer at least 3 or 4 years of confirmed residency as this indicates stability. Please review the section of your credit report entitled Electoral Roll . For more information about Electoral Roll data, click here . ..........................................Current ............Previous 1 Previous 2 Confirmed .........................Yes Yes N/A Length of Time on Electoral Roll 1 year ...............5 years N/A Searches A search is the process organisations undertake when they wish to review information held on your Credit Report. Such searches will have been performed with your consent and typically take place when you make an application for credit with a lender. A search enables lenders to view information at your addresses in order to decide whether or not to grant credit. Previous Credit Searches appearing on your Credit Report show lenders that you have made applications for credit. Searches for lending purposes would not normally be viewed as adverse information. If however there were an unusually large number of Credit Searches in a relatively short period of time, this may be interpreted by a lender as being indicative of over-commitment or maybe even fraud. Not all searches are performed for lending purposes. Another potential purpose is Identity Checking. Such searches are not seen by any lender or other organisation reviewing your Credit Report Excellent You have had 0 search(es) for credit in the last six months. Credit grantors view more than one or two searches within six months unfavourably. Please review the section of your credit report entitled Previous Searches . For more information about credit searches and what you can do about them, click here . Court Information Judgments are issued as a result of County or High Court action. If a Creditor/Claimant (the person looking to claim the money from you) is owed a sum of money by you they may raise a claim against you in either the County or High Court, for recovery of these monies. If the court agrees that the Creditor/Claimant is owed the money, then a Judgment will be granted by the court against the Individual (Defendant). The monetary value of this Judgment will be for the amount due and any associated costs. In Scotland similar judgments given in the Sheriffs Courts are called Decrees. Equifax receives this information from Registry Trust Ltd. Registry Trust Ltd is a non-profit making company, contracted by the Lord Chancellor, through the Ministry of Justice, to maintain the statutory public Register of Judgments, Orders and Fines covering courts in England and Wales. As well as holding public registers covering money Judgments/Decrees in Scotland, Isle of Man, Northern Ireland and Jersey, Registry Trust Ltd acts as a clearing house for Judgments registered in Eire. Details of all these Judgments/Decrees, and any subsequent amendments, are passed to the credit reference agencies for inclusion in their Reports. Excellent You have no information in your credit report that indicates a Court Judgment or other public record information such as a bankruptcy in your name. Credit grantors view this favourably.
  9. I am just about to apply for a mortgage and trying to make my file as squeaky clean as possible. apart from this I also have an AP from a Natwest overdraft which I talked about in this thread and thats about it. No late payment elsewhere and everything is okay. Would you reckon these 2 wouldn't be an issue?
  10. I had a Next Store card which is now cancelled but got a default. I SAR Next and almost 40 Days later I got the response below. I have scanned the included documents and attached them to this post. I used the card only once I think and forgot to make the payment in time but paid few days later to my knowledge and never used the card again until I cancelled the card in 2009. as shown below. Please the whole essence of this post is to advice on means by which I can get Next to take off this default notice as I was not notified of this not until lately when I checked my record. Any advice will be duly taken on board and appreciated. Thanks in advance. Picture 1 (Screenshot of record in Credit File) Picture 2 (Response Letter from Next) Picture 3 (Original Agreement??? This has my name and address on it so I suppose its a copy of the Agreement but I doubt it as I believe I signed up in store to my Knowledge hence I physically signed a form but the copy that was sent to me was not signed and my details on there was typed not handwritten.) Picture 4 (Statement and I cannot make sense of it , would appreciate some help in understanding what it says) Picture 5 (Copy of Generic Agreement enclosed not sure why it was included) Picture 6 (Cover of Generic Agreement)
  11. Congratulations on your success and could you be kind to tell us what method you adopted in getting this removed.
  12. Hi All, Sorry if this has been asked before couldn't find any info in the search result. I had a Next Store card which is now cancelled but got a default due to God knows what reason (I ll leave contesting the default to another thread), but account has been closed anyway but its been more than 4 years now and I thought I read somewhere that store card default leave your account after 3 years, could someone confirm if this is the case or not. Thanks in advance.
  13. That is comforting news, indeed am after a mortgage and trying to make my record as clean as possible. but all the same there is no harm in trying. I have now composed a letter which I hope to fire off tomorrow, i am not seeking redress for the charges just looking for the marker to be taken off. Hopefully I ll hear what they have to say about it. Could you possibly point me in the right address for nastwest, I ve seen a few but not sure which one to use. Thanks for your help.
  14. The date reported on the credit file is Feb 2010 so thats 3 year left for it to varnish, I am not prepared to wait that long to be honest. Frankly I have had a look at the debt /credit card reclaim templates in the Library and there is anything really there that I can adapt for my purpose of requesting the bank take out the AP marker on my file without prejudice considering I am not seeking redress for the charges.
  15. I ll have a rtead what that is really not sure its an Organization that I have to write to or I ll just write to natwest quoting the above.. I ll have a read, just getting off work now. Dx I have had a look at the BCOBS section and the template I could find there seems to be for a "BCOBS particulars of claim" just wondering if this would be applicable to my situation, I am not really interested in the charges back I just want the AP to be removed from my credit file. Would there be a better suited template for my case as I feel the BCOBS template looks more like a court claims.
  16. Thanks for the reply, I only just realized that Natwest gives you access to up to 7 years Statement online, am trying to access my previous statements now to get full details but the online banking is not available for me but I ll check this again in the morning and update the post, Thanks for your time. initial post amended, sorry for the confusion, having looked through my account online, I realised the charges was actually more than I thought so in a nutshell, Do I stand a hope of getting this removed from my record? Thanks in advance once again.
  17. Hi All, Back in 2008 my Natwest account was overdrawn by about £5 unarranged and the payment was returned I was slapped with a £28 fee which I disputed and stopped making any payment into the said account , for the next 12 months Natwest tried to take the £28 payment from my account each month and seeing as there is no money there, another charge of £28 was being added each month until about the 5th month when the account was about £ 336 in debit. in between I made 2 payments of about £120 before I eventually gave em a call and told them I will pay the money provided the charges was stopped while I bring the account up to date but I was intending to pay it bits (intention then was to spite them, foolish I know now). I said I ll make the payment in 3 go which I did, and I have been using the account till date, What I did not realise back then was an AP had been entered on my credit file without any letter to that effect as the agreement was made over the phone. Knowing what I know now and the damage to my file, I wonder if I can ask Natwest to take this off my file. Your advice will be greatly appreciated. Thanks in Advance.
  18. Duly noted, will check back next month and provide update if required. Thanks for all the comments.
  19. Thanks for the reply, the reason why it is not showing in the copied entry is that callcredit only have my account updated till the end of February which is why it says Last Updated28 February 2013. I ll wait till the end of May and if there is no update, then I ll have to get in touch with callcredit I suppose.
  20. Hi All, First of all am new here and I ve just stumbled upon pinky696's thread which has taken a good 2-3 hours to read through the thread, so here is hoping someone can advice me. I have an HSBC account with an overdraft limit of £1,500 this was my salary account and has always been paid into this account, I have a default registered in April 2007 but is still showing in my credit file 6 years later, but now that I suppose it should no longer be there based on the fact that a default should drop off the account after 6 years, should this still be registered on my account at all? Account Opened 21 March 2007 Last Updated28 February 2013 Opening Balance £0 Credit Limit £1,500 Headroom £1,500 Worst Status 1 If not who should i take this up with, Callcredit or HSBC? Thanks in advance. PS: Just edited the Post title as it seems a but misleading.
