Hi All,

had a letter today from a company called siemens from nottingham saying and i quote "for safety reasons we are required by law to carry out regular inspections of your gas meter"

Am i right in thinking that as i own my own house and am responsible arranging my own checks?

I have a feeling that there may be a charge involved....

Any thoughts.

Siemens are a big multinational corporation.I think a number of energy suppliers must contract out to them, as they also do this in London where I live. I've had similar cards through my door in the past and they have 'inspected' my meter, though this simply consisted of a chap taking a meter reading. There was no charge.

by law they must be allowed to see a meter once in 24mts

to ensure no tampering / is safe.

dx

please don't hit Quote...just type we know what we said earlier..

DCA's view debtors as suckers, marks and mugs

NO DCA has ANY legal powers whatsoever on ANY debt no matter what it's Type

and they

are NOT and can NEVER  be BAILIFFS. even if a debt has been to court..

If everyone stopped blindly paying DCA's Tomorrow, their industry would collapse overnight...

Hi

If you are concerned about this may i suggest that you contact your energy supplier and ask them to clarify the letter is correct.
