Nope but I owe Orange money and they have been instructed by Orange to get the payment off me

That statement may be factually incorrect...

Moorcroft, and many others, buy old debts so they can play their game with people who will fall for it. Orange will have written this off long ago, they will not have instructed Moorcroft to do anything of the sort - this will be Moorcroft looking after Moorcroft.

If you have not managed to work this out, with all the information you've been given, then I think you're probably in the wrong place on CAG as we're trying to help you understand the wacky world of the DCA and how they will do anything to get people to pay up and cause them anguish - and they seem to have got you good and proper.

If you are happy in your life with being pushed around and being told to do this that and the other then all well and good. CAG members try to help people like you, as long as you are willing to accept the help and not keep taking the view that the debt collection agency is in the right all the time. They never are.

Probably time I dropped out of this topic. I tried...

You'd be much wiser trusting what you have been told here rather than trusting moorcroft. The people who have advised you here have nothing to gain from their efforts. Moorcroft will just try to fleece you - they have EVERYTHING to gain! As I said in an earlier post - dont fall for it or they will have you over a barrel!

Hello thank you for your help but I don't think this is the case because on my 'Pre-Court Litigation' letter it says

"ORANGE PERSONAL COMMUNICATIONS have informed us that upon receipt of the full payment they will re-connect your service with no re-connection fee'

So will they have bought the debt

I know about Debt companies buying debts but it doesn't seem right in my case does it?

Thank you

god are you still worrying dragon............

no mobile phone 'debt' has ever gone to court...

moorcrap are collecting only , they do not 'own' the debt

only the OC [orange] COULD take you to court & they don't do that.

just pay £1 WHEN AND IF YOU CAN by your banks internet banking webpage.

dx

siteteam.

please don't hit Quote...just type we know what we said earlier..

DCA's view debtors as suckers, marks and mugs

NO DCA has ANY legal powers whatsoever on ANY debt no matter what it's Type

and they

are NOT and can NEVER  be BAILIFFS. even if a debt has been to court..

If everyone stopped blindly paying DCA's Tomorrow, their industry would collapse overnight...

yo Rev, it has to be someone taking the Phish or has stolen my special ciggies.

Dragon, just to really put your mind at rest, this is a letter I sent to Moorcroft over a O2 bill my lovely ex left me with. As you can see they did not like me just paying a token payment. but hey like it or lump it. And yes it's for real,

A big thank you to Bazooka for his input on another one of my creditors he is helping me with. You can see his paw marks all over this letter..

Hi,

I have a debt with Orange. My circumstances have changed a couple of times over the last 6 months, anyway, as I could not afford to maintain the contractual payments, I wrote to Orange a few times sending them my Income and Expenditure offering one pound per month. This is all I can at the present time afford. So I trot off to the Orange Shop once a month and pay one pound and keep the receipt. Of course Orange never replied to any of my letters. Their 'in house' debt collectors got involved by writing letters. I ignored them. I am now onto my 3rd Moorcroft letter, I love their letters and they are blank on the rear and I rip them in half and use them for making notes, shopping list, my mum's prescription dates etc etc. Make good use of this free gift Dragon. I hope when my debt gets passed on, the next DCA keeps the rear of their letters blank too. Have a nice day.

Joe,, you have saved Hippy a few pence there, I did not realize that.. Thanks mate new notes for hippy. By the way those clowns Moorcroft sent hippy a acceptance of me £1.00 and a expensive paying in book. With again the wrong amount on, they are charging unlawful charges.. guess what here is Hippy's reply so Dragon take note.

Off to post it now.. and anymore will incur more of my charges.
