Hello, sorry if this the not correct place to post as little unsure how it works but here goes.

I parked my car in a Middlesbrough car park controlled by LDK Group LDK Group and paid £4.00 for a full day's ticket. When I returned to my car after 5:30pm I had a ticket stuck to my windscreen from LDK Group. Inside the reason for the ticket states "No Ticket".

When checking, my ticket was displayed on the dashboard however it was upside down but not flipped over (so validity of ticket was visible upon inpsection).

I am confused as to why I have been ticketed and am now worried I am going to have to pay the initial £40 fine leading to £140 after 14 days.

Looking at some older threads on this site the general opinion is to ignore the ticket and await some kind of contact. Would it be better (in this case because I DID have a ticket) to appeal showing proof of ticketl or is that just a way for the LDK to contact me and DEMAND more money?

Really worried and would appreciate any help or advice anyone can give me?

Thanking you in advance :)

there is nothing they can do to you.

the appeal process always fails.there isn't one

totally ignore them

expect 5-6 letters from various leeches getting more and more desparate for you to pay their invoice.

the only tickets you ever have to pay are those that say

'penalty charge notice'

ignore!!!!!!!!

No! There is no appeal system

or is that just a way for the LDK to contact me and DEMAND more money?

You've got it!

Advice is; do not worry

Thanking you in advance :)

Do not appeal

Do not write to them

Do not telephone them

Do not reply to their mail

Do not pay them

A Big Thanks to 'crem' and 'DX100uk'.

Has made me feel a lot better :).

The car park i was ticketet in is my regular parking place while at work (5 days a week). Is it advisable to keep parking in the same car park with me ignoring the ticket and letters?

What if the company registers my number plate and this time clamps my car because I haven't paid the invoice?

Would it be better to not park there from now on?

Always remember that it is NOT a fine.

It is an unenforcible [problem] invoice that has no legal standing.

Take note of what dx100uk and crem have posted. Good advice and all the advice that you need.

Why not? You have paid to park there and as long as you continue to pay the parking fee they can do nothing

What if the company registers my number plate and this time clamps my car because I haven't paid the invoice?

Unless they are displaying "clamping" signs, then they cannot clamp on the site at all. Further, clamping for previous alledged debt is completely illegal.

Would it be better to not park there from now on?

If that is where you like to park and you are paying fees to do so, I don't see any problem. However, if you can park somewhere else, I would feel inclined to simply to deprive them of my revenue in protest.

Thanks to everyone who posted.

The daft thing is that you end up feeling like you have done something wrong when in fact, I bought a ticket!

I will ignore all communication from LDK and forget about it (while keeping my ticket of course :).

Hi there

I have received a ticket in Middlesbrough in almost the exact same circumstances where my ticket had fallen onto the dashboard shelf (possibly when i shut the door), however it was still visible that there was a ticket.

So i was shocked to find this parking notice on my windscreen.

Is there any feedback from people who have ignored previously? I understand the appeals process is a sham, and my time is wasted there.

But have people ended up in court after ignoring these?

Many thanks for any advice.

In a word, no. Just ignore and everything will be OK. You have done nothing wrong and you have not broken any laws.

Hi everyone.

I recently received a parking charge, from LDK group for £60 (if paid within 14 days) and was looking for some advice.

I'm a student nurse and was issued the ticket after parking in a pay and display car park, i paid for a ticket but unfortunatley after a busy shift and not leaving work till late my ticket was expired (so yes i am stupid!)

After reading this thread i was wondering if there's anyway i could not pay the charge??

My ticket was issued by LDK group (ldkgroup.co.uk)

Thanks in advance guys! :D

Hi guys,

I took note of your advice and ignored the letters i received regarding this. However on monday evening i received a phone message from somebody at Graham White solicitors quoting a reference number and asking me to return the call.

Im now extremely anxious and am considering just paying the escalated charge.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated!!!!

Thanks.

I did think that it probably was the person in the next office to the envelope stamper but im ever the worrier. Im concerned that the 'punishments' they list in their letters might be the next step e.g CCJ's and bailiffs!

Thanks for your calming reply! :-)

bailiff for what...

not paying a questionable invoice for a 'loss' you never created.

to sent in the bailiffs - it has to go to court- to go to court, they must have a LEGITIMATE REASON

not ONE PPC has ever gone to court - fullstop

hamster bedding!!!

Hi,Can anyone give an update on what happend when they didnt pay their parking fines in Middlesbrough? Did everything really stop after all the threats from "debt collections" and "solicitors"?cheers!

Silence is golden. LDK have never done court. however, like an awful lot of private parking companies they threaten all manner of dire things including the end of the world but are incapable of making a hole in a soggy paper bag.

The reason? There are far more suckers out there to be "persuaded" to pay their invoices so why should they waste their efforts on the one that got away? Its just a numbers game really and a figure of something like 60% pay up without question frightened by the non-threats. Hold firm, don't be one of them.
